He was also kind enough to do some light carpentry and relocated the strike plate, so the old door in the older house closed properly. He is pretty prompt, honest, and he has been doing it for more than 2 decades I believe- his efficiency is at the highest by the way he delivers. After a plunge into the ocean, my husband discovered that his key fob was in his pocket. Hoping a day in the sun would dry it out, we waited until later in the afternoon to try it, but the key fob wouldn't work. After confirming it wasn't the battery, we called the dealership who told us they could fix it if we had the car towed to them to be reprogrammed. As it was late in the afternoon, the guy at the dealership recommended this company. We called and were assured that it was no problem to fix our key fob. The technician was excellent! He kept us updated on his arrival time, and not only did he quickly resolve our situation, but he showed us an online discount coupon we could use to save 15%. Amazing service! A gentleman answered the phone every time I called and made sure he scheduled me as soon as he could. Communication was fantastic. I had someone call me to confirm they were coming. He then called me again to let me know the traffic conditions were bad and he would be a little later than planned. Lance was the most amazing locksmith I could have hoped for. He knew exactly what he was doing, and he did this in minutes. He changed multiple locks in my home and was pretty much done in 20 minutes. He was quirky, sarcastic but polite and respectful. I called this company to change the locks at a property. I was impressed that first time customers receive a 10% discount. So I booked the appointment for the next day at 11. Within an hour I realized I needed to change the time to 2:00 p.m. The gentleman on the phone was so pleasant and cooperative. They called me the next day to verify my appointment which was professional. I received a call around. 1:45 from the technician to tell me he was early! Ok! Very impressed, I was too and pulled up three minutes later. My husband was with me and I told the technician we had to evict the tenant for nonpayment. The technician had an attitude and informed my husband that we shouldn't be evicting people during a pandemic, and proceeded to tell him about the law that was passed. It was warm because the lights were out at the property and he had the nerve to make this comment without knowing the whole story. The tenant left to avoid payment and I had to do an eviction to get possession back. So he finished changing the locks, very efficiently might I add. When it was time to pay I reminded him about the 10% discount which is clearly posted on Yelp. He gave me a hard time about needing it to be printed. I explained it doesn't work like that, then he was going to call a supervisor. I pulled it up and showed it to him and then he says oh, well it's not off the entire bill, a customer can only receive it off the service charge $55 or the service which cost $60. I politely stated every little bit helps and he took off $6. This would have easily been a 5 star rating if he had kept his political views to himself and honored the discount. He's right in that we are in a pandemic right now and his pettiness wasted my time. Overall, I would recommend them though. read more

I have used Around the Clock Locksmith several times now and have received prompt quality service. I originally used them to change the locks on my home after I purchased it. They set up a time and came to the house to give me a quote. Their price beat the others and the gentleman, Troy, who came to the house was extremely knowledgeable and helped me pick out hardware. I made another appointment and they came back to do the work. Both times they were prompt and pleasant. The second time I called them because my daughter lost her keys to her car. They came right to where her car was parked downtown and made her a new key on the spot. They even programmed a new remote for her. She only waited 30 minutes. Not good business Extremely over priced. They cut a key for my sons car. The first time he used the key to drive to school it jammed in the ignition an the car would not shut off at school key was lock in the run position. I called Troy and he said he would send someone around 4 o'clock to look at it. It was 8 AM in the morning. A day or 2 later Troy come out and took my sons car apart pulled the air bag steering wheel broke the ignition drum hanging out of the column. Said he needed to order parts never to see him again. Not sure these guys are actually in business. We called them and a junior guy (not a locksmith) came out and went over changing all of the door handles and dead bolt locks in our house (5 external doors). They sent a generic quote stating price for a single lock (no summary for all 10 locks). They never sent a full quote or would even come out. Locked my keys in my trunk and AAA sent out a locksmith that ended up wasting 3.5 hours of my life in the middle of the night, wasn't able to get into my trunk, and messed up my car door in the process. Called Around the Clock because I had used them before when I lost my house keys and remembered them being extremely helpful. Troy assured me he could help me over the phone and explained the process of getting into my trunk. He was able to get into my car in 15 mins and even wrote out a report detailing the damages the AAA locksmith had done so that I was able to file a complaint with AAA. I will NEVER use another locksmith! I don't know what I would've done without Troy's help. If there was such a thing as a negative number that's what I would use. This is absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. Never have I been treated in such a disrespectful rude way. I lost my only set a keys to my car and called this company to come out and make a new set. They ask what type of car I had I read the type of car off my manual. I ask how much they charge and they said don't worry we have competitive prices. They said they did not have that key in stock and it would be a day before they could obtain the key. They said they would give me a 10% discount since I had to wait a day and waited to go with them. The next day someone came out and spent almost an hour only to come back and tell me they had the wrong model key. When I called and told them they came out with the wrong key the person I spoke to started accusing me of giving him the wrong model number. I explained to him I read it directly off my manual then he started arguing and screaming at me. He said he would charge me $450 and then I had to put my credit card on file before they would come out. I had called three other locksmith and they all said they were going to charge $325. He continued to argue and scream and I hung up. I was in shock at the price they were charging me and the way I was treated plus being accused a liar. I noticed they get good reviews so maybe they pay people write them for them. I just don't understand how you go from getting so many five stars down to one star.
