The Park St. bridge is just a hop away, so we'll often grab a coffee here to fuel up on our way out of town. Street parking is very difficult here, but the grocery does have its own lot in the back, albeit a cramped one. Give yourself extra time to park.

Just went in today and bought FIVE doughnuts and they had the nerve to tell me I could not use my credit card without a $0.50 surcharge. I told them that is ILLEGAL to do and that is against the credit card agreement with merchants. The lady said she didn't care what I did or if she was reported and swore at me saying that she has millions of customers and she doesn't need this bull sh*t from customers. Well she just LOST a very loyal customer. We usually go there every weekend, but now I will not go there again. It's not like I was buying one $0.50 doughnut and wanted to use my credit card. It was over $5.00 worth of food! Unbelievable. The lady there is SO FAKE! She pretends to be nice but if you differ from her surcharge policy, she will scream at you like a crazy Asian lady. Seriously, just bring it up to her and she will argue with you and tell you not to buy the doughnuts then. CRAZY! I am reporting her to the credit card companies. I cannot believe she thinks she can get away with this. I have NEVER had such horrible customer service. Plus, the doughnuts aren't even that good, it is just conveniently located. What kind of business practice is that to yell at a customer for disagreeing with their policy and pointing out that it is not a part of the credit card agreements? Do your homework people and learn about your RIGHTS as a credit card holder. NO MERCHANT is allowed to do that, regardless of a printed out sign that is posted. I am boycotting that doughnut shop and telling everyone not to go there. It is pathetic that the owner would even think to yell at a customer. She is a total phony. Don't let her fool you like she did me! She cannot make up her own rules for credit card use. The credit card companies do not sanction that kind of behavior from merchants because it discourages their credit card users from charging things on their credit cards. Test my theory and have a discussion with her about it and I bet she will tell you, "Then don't buy the doughnuts. I don't care, I have a ton of customers and I don't need bull sh*t customers like you." She was so rude and that is not how to run a business. read more

Today I came to this place with my children, we usually come here for donuts at least 3 times per month. I ordered my usual donuts (one was wrong) and juice and coffee. After I tasted the coffee it was warm, not hot. I politely asked the young Asian lady if I could get a different one because that flavor was kind of cold, maybe the Colombian one since it was full and seemed fresh. The young Asian lady told me that she could warm it up for me in the microwave (yeah, exactly what I want, an old cup of coffee warmed up in the microwave) however, she said "I CAN'T EXCHANGE THAT COFFEE FOR YOU FOR NO REASON" . Well, the main reason was that that coffee was old and sitting there probably for quite a while. I told her "It's okay, keep it" and I walked away leaving the cup of coffee on the counter. I mean, who says that to a customer anyway? no maners or customer service skills. Me and my wife went there to eat some donuts. We NEVER eat donuts because they are not very healthy for our family,but once every 3 months we always get something that is not very healthy. We went there and bought 4 donuts,one of them were tasting kinda plastic a little bit so she went there to ask if we could trade for other one...OMG she asian lady went nuts and started to yell at my wife saying that is not true and that she should leave the shop ASAP.
