Love that they put the spice level beside each item for a heads up the staff here is nice and as they were more flooded with orders than I realized as they do take phone orders it did take a bit for my order. Since I was dining right there among the bench it didn't need to be separated and loved that it was served on a tray along with a side of kimchee yum the ramyun had a soft cooked egg and some carrots a nice and simple snack which gave me much needed boost though as it was basically no different than a bowl of instant noodle this was crazy overpriced and glad that I didn't get the soft tofu which was $13.50 which I didn't need that type of spice in my life. The prices have gone up (where hasn't), since the last time, but the quality of the lechon is still as great as it always has been. I ordered their Lechon fried rice plate, which comes with a fairly large portion of both. The pork is juicy, with the signature crispy skin... so delicious. The service was fast and helpful, pointing out that have several sauces that you can take in little cups. The Fried rice was a bit bland, especially when compared to the taste of the pork, but putting the lechon sauce over it, definitely improved the flavor. The slightly sweet, with vinegar tang, would make a piece of cardboard edible, lol. I'm so happy to have stopped by, and it definitely will be sooner, rather than later, for my next visit.

This smoked meat is fairly lean which concerned me at first but my concerns were not warranted. The meat has a strong great flavor but the spice level is pretty low. In a way I was happy with that because I didn't want to be have the spice overpower the flavor of good smoked meat. As long as you aren't looking for burn your mouth spicy this is excellent smoked meat at a reasonable price.

You can see Laverne's, the malasasamobile, Mountain Shave Ice, Thong's Thai, Taste Tea, Dick's Lechon, and ... the blood bank mobile. The truck ladies had to be sweltering but they were still nice. The kalbi and pulehu are just about the same cuts of meats just a different marinade and you get to choose how you want it cooked. We got it medium rare. Only downside is I tried to phone order in advance knowing they would be busy but I couldn't get the phone call through. We had to order once we got there and there was about an 1.5 hour wait for our order. The area is a dead zone for phone service so although they'll call to let you know your order is ready, you may not receive the call. But the wait was expected so we decided to go hang around the beach while waiting. There was a line of people wanting to order. I'd recommend to go early in the morning while they still have everything in stock because we got there at about 10:45AM and they had just sold out of their peanut butter rolls! It is cash only as well. Sad to see the business go but happy there is a lot of locals supporting them, giving fond farewells and wishing the Papa Ole's ohana the best!
