The dress is lined, but I can't imagine it took her more than an hour to do, if that. Unfortunately, I assumed the price might be $40 or so, so I didn't ask before I left it there. Had she told me the price it ended up being, I would have gone elsewhere. IT WAS $76 ! At that price, I was halfway to a new dress! Needless to say, I had to hand over my credit card and just take my dress... I could barely manage a whispered "thank you" as I walked out the door. I was beyond stunned. Am I completely off-base? Should it cost over $75! to do a simple hem - no ruffles, no extra pleats - just a straight hem?
