I bought a suit off the rack Saturday evening before heading to the airport, and when I got home, I realized the length of the suit legs was mis-labeled on the pants; they were too long. I set up a Yelp project looking for a tailor who would let me come in on Sunday to get alterations done. Within minutes, Esso responded to me letting me know he'd see me Sunday afternoon. Booked this place because I ended up getting my Bridesmade dress a week before a wedding I was in and it was at least 5 inches too long and they for some reason sent me the wrong size. Not only did the owner agree to help me but he knew how to improve the dress to make it fit me better. When I was there I also noticed an array of custom dresses and suits that were absolutely gorgeous. If you need alterations or if you want something custom this is the place. Not only is the owner extremely professional but you can tell the quality in his work and his knowledge is remarkable. I set up an appointment with this individual yesterday for 9am this morning. I live in Fairview, and drove to Franklin, arriving early at 8:30am. This individual never showed up. I called him at 9:10am, and got no answer. I have had a death in my immediate family and couldn't wait any longer. I drove back to Fairview, having wasted an entire morning. I never received the courtesy of a phone call saying they would be late. Very discourteous and unprofessional. I am giving one star only because there isn't a lower rating. read more

Well, after seeing what Mr YELLAH could produce and how beautiful his work looked online, I decided to use his services for making a very simple garment. I went to his place in Franklin in Sept 8,2022 one day short of two months! I explained to him zi had an affair. I mentioned the venue to which he said he had a client there, yet, today, he had no recollection of the conversation. When I got there, he was surprised to see me as I went unannounced. The affair had taken place the previous weekend. Obviously from the look of the shop, somebody is using him. He was completely loaded with work. He had enough work for 3 or 4 people. For $200 he admitted my 5 piece construction would only take 4 hrs., yet, apparently I was not important enough. It would have been nice if he JUST apologized. He did do that that came up with a litany of excuses! Not the least bit professional or classy! All I said was the client was always right. That really set him off! He started pulling tiny pinned notes off his bulletin board saying I wasn't the only one who had not gotten their garments! He told me many rich(yes he used that word) people would order from china and wait 6 mths for arrival to which I said, well, I'm sure they were aware of the timeline when they ordered. He asked why I didn't call! He told me it would be ready in October but wrote nothing down. In order for me to get my money back, I had to be the detective! I remembered I took a photo with him. I found the photo and gave him the time. Finally he found the transaction and put the money back on my card. No receipt of course so I took a screenshot. At this point, I wasn't trusting him much. In closing I will say, he got two stars only because of his potentially beautiful work. Shall one star be for personality? He is a very charming person and obviously a talented craftsman. There are many of us just not built for business. He has a tiny little shop and is constantly working. He is an artist but not a business person. Really he needs someone to take over scheduling and paperwork. He had a hard time even finding the cloth I bought. He left me wondering if my small priced job had anything to do with him putting me on the back burner. It seems he likes the wedding alterations best.I'm sure for that special day, some women will be neurotic about having a perfect day. Personally, I had a very tiny wedding but a very long life with my sweetheart which was more important. Good luck with this guy. Spend plenty of money and chase after him for your garments. I'm sure the ones he finishes are beautiful. read more

I was in a panic when I contacted Esso on Monday... My seamstress was unable to complete my ball gown and I needed it on Friday. Esso calmly reassured me not to worry. He could and would have my full ball gown completed in time for the Gala... He set up an appointment for the next day TUESDAY... (Now we are down to 4 days). I couldn't sleep and was barley functioning. Upon meeting Esso his professionalism, attention to detail and commitment to Excellency was profound. I could tell by the way he handled the fabric and examined the grain of the material this was not just a seamstress but indeed a Specialist in his field. I did a fitting on Thursday, picked up my gown on Friday morning and felt like Cinderella Friday night. I would highly recommend him to anyone!!! Remember you get what you pay for. read more
