When I asked if that was the normal rate, I was told "we will take care of you" - whatever that means. But I was in a hurry and needed the pants asap. After 5 weeks of not hearing if they were ready, I decided to stop in. For such a steep price, I had assumed they would use the original hem. I was wrong. I was told it would be another $60 to use the original hem. After trying both pair of pants on, they both were too short. So I basically paid $60 for Nandwani to ruin 2 pairs of pants. I will not be going back. I do not recommend Nandwani to anybody.

The shop itself is very attractive and well organized. I made a visit to Arzelle's when I was shopping for my wedding dress. I stopped in Arzelle's during the evening. They didn't have very many customers, but the staff seemed a little flustered for some reason. I wanted to buy a wedding dress that was more of a mermaid form fitting style, but they only had one or two styles with this cut in the store. The staff at this store were very young girls, some of them looked like they were in high school, and they kinda didn't have much of a clue about how to help me find something. I would recommend this shop for browsing for styles, but the staff were not that helpful. They do not sell sample dresses here either, so be prepared to order several months ahead of time.

I dropped off 2 dresses, 1 sweater, and 3 blouses and my total came out to $53.45. I consider that to be a little on the high side but from doing my research this is the "Franklin upcharge" norm. Not so sure I can find anything more affordable without compromising quality or convenience. The older Asian lady who greeted me was really sweet and was in the middle of sewing when she came to help me. I asked her for a quote before knowing how many items to drop off, and due to the price I was selective about which items to dry clean so I did the bare necessities. She was understanding. I did have a wool hat that I wanted dry cleaned but that's not something they do there. I will most likely come back here out of convenience and because they got the job done quickly (my items were ready the next day), but if I find the time I may also search for someplace more within my budget-if I can find that around these parts, we'll see!

They dry cleaned about 40 pieces for me so far. We did have an issue. 2 pieces were severely shrunken. (Women's sweaters) I was pretty upset as the one sweater was pricey and worn once/new. It took 2 weeks, after he saw the size he wanted time to see if he could wet and stretch them. When I returned after the holidays they were still child size, but the owner resolved the issue by cutting me a check for the 2 damaged pieces after I provided them with the receipts for the items. I will continue to use them as they handled it the right way and apologized and did the right thing paying for the items they damaged.
