I give Arzelle's 1 star, mainly because I can't give them zero stars. So my wedding was on October 12, 2013. I was leaving to head down to Montgomery, AL on the Wednesday before. They said, come by Wednesday on your way out of town and we will have it steamed/pressed and ready again (I had taken it back to Nashville with me after the bridal portraits, because after moving around in it, I decided it needed to be taken in a little more). So I went by to pick it up and drove to Montgomery. We didn't look at the dress until Saturday. We didn't need to.. I knew it fit, it had been steamed/pressed, we had done this same thing before with the bridal portraits and everything was fine. So Saturday I go to put the dress on. Pictures were going to start at 12:30 (wedding was at 5:00). I open the bag up... and there was a belt on the dress (that wasn't mine). I said, "That's weird... why did they sew that belt on there." The top of the dress looked enough like mine that I still thought it was mine. My mom said give it here, I'll pick the stitches out of it to get the belt off, no big deal. Then one of my bridesmaids said.. "Is it even your dress?" I looked at the bottom of the bag (there was a piece of paper on there that had name, date of wedding, number, etc). IT WAS SOME OTHER GIRL'S DRESS. Why yes, it is only 4.5 hours until the wedding, and yes, we are 4 hours from Nashville. My mom immediately gets on the phone with Arzelle's and lets them know about it. In the mean time, my sister had called some family friends of ours that were coming from Nashville. She asked if they had left yet, and they said no... we are taking our jet, it leaves at 2:00. My sister told them about what was going on and they called their pilot and had the flight moved up. Meanwhile, we got Arzelle's to deliver the dress to them (the managed said she would deliver it herself). When she got to their house, our friend questioned them about heir big mistake. And she said "I don't know anything about it, I'm just the messenger." LIE #1 of about 15.. And she assured my mom a full refund on the dress when they were talking on the phone. I had to go back into town BY MYSELF on my wedding day to get my makeup RE-DONE because it was a mess after this fiasco while the bridesmaids and groomsmen got as many pics as they could without me. I got the dress at 4:00. 1 hour before the wedding. My husband and I's "first look" last 3 minutes... in my parent's backyard. We were supposed to have 1 hour for that. I got 1, I REPEAT, 1 picture with my parents that day. And 1 picture of me and my sisters, and 1 pictures of us together. 1. We got ZERO staged pictures in the chapel because guests were already starting to arrive and it was too dark after the ceremony, We were an hour late to the reception because we were busy trying to get pictures with the small amount of daylight we had left. Some people had already left the reception by the time we got there. We spent our mini-honeymoon recovering from the roller coaster of emotions from that day. We didn't even go out to eat for a nice dinner because we were so tired. And when we got back, my parents had already been talking with Arzelle's, which refused to give us ANYTHING back on the dress like they had promised. They told my parents they wanted to talk to me before anything was decided (thinking I would just say, oh it's fine, don't worry about it). They offered us a PHOTO SHOOT. What a joke. We don't want an after-the-fact photo shoot. We didn't even care about pictures that we missed us me and him together.. it was the pictures of us and our families, so unless she wanted to fly all our family from all over the country in, that wasn't acceptable. Those photographers probably owed her a favor, so it's not like anything would have been coming out of her pocket anyways. She kept on and kept on and kept on pushing for the stupid photo shoot. She asked "well what would make you happy" and I said... what would make me happy is for you to do what my parents are asking of you. Sure, it was "my" wedding, but I'm not the one who carried the financial burden of it. Mind you, my dress was only $900... it was the cheapest dress in there.. most were $2000 + . I Did we need that money? No, but we wanted them to pay some kind of consequence for their mistake so that THIS NEVER HAPPENS AGAIN TO ANYONE! I asked her what her plan would have been had we not had some pretty wealthy friends who own a jet to bring it down.. and she said, "oh i would have chartered a flight, helicopter, something." No you wouldn't... not if you are pitching a fit about paying us back $900. This place is a joke. Go elsewhere. Seriously. read more
