do not shop online with these crooks. i placed an order online on 4/10/24 for an item that was listed on their website only for it to disappear within minutes. i spoke with gabby who confirmed the order amd then politely called a few hours later to say that the order will not be fulfilled as it was no longer in stock and i would be receiving a "full refund". i thought what a odd pahrse she used as if that isn't automatically a given! woke up on 4/11/25 to an e-mail that stated i was given a partial refund of $129 instead of the $146.85 i paid for shipping fees on the order that will not be fulfilled but owe them $17.95 for what exactl??? wasting my time & energy! read more

I feel so validated by these other reviews because the girls who worked in here were so mean, rude, and disinterested in my buying experience. My mom and I, a well dressed duo of 23 and 50, were shopping and having fun and looking to shop. I asked for a pair of boots and it took 10 minutes for them to even tell me they looked and didnt see any. We tried on multiple things and went in the larger try on space with the larger mirror--none of the girls acknowledged us or told us they liked what we were trying on. We ultimately loved a pair of Mother jeans ($230) and a MISA dress ($495!) and decided to take our business elsewhere to purchase those items because of how horrible the shopping experience was. I cant believe this store would keep these employees after multiple 1 star reviews saying the same thing. E. Allen, do better, be kind, and work on your business model. The store was very pretty with beautiful clothes had about 6 items that I wanted to purchase, I asked for couple of sizes to the associates and there demeanor and way of speaking to me was very rude, it was very upsetting not only because how the way they handled themselves but because I really wanted to buy from this store and they just made my experience really bad, so I decided to leave me so I and I went next door to Kittenish and the girl there was super helpful and very kind aka great customer service so I bought couple of things there instead . As I was browsing, I did not get asked if I needed assistance nor did I feel like my business was wanted. We stumbled by this boutique on our way to check out the famous Angel Wings mural and made a point to stop by afterwards. Especially after I saw the "Take Me to the Ryman" tee featured in their window. I have a pup named Ryman so I knew it had to be mine! The shop is actually bigger than I would've imagined. It is 2 stories and throughout the boutique are specially selected designers and merchandise -- most being local and familiar to the City. I drifted more towards the Nashville themed merchandise but the majority of the clothing here was very bohemian and free spirit in style. Perfect for music festin' which makes sense since we were in Nashville! Don't forget to check out the jewelry displays throughout the store. I was surprised by how affordable some pieces were but the pricepoints do vary. As far as customer service, we didn't get any sort of acknowledgement or greeting from both salesgirls when we walked in as they were occupied at the counter. Located in the happening "Gulch" section of Nashville lies this fun, carefully selected collection of merchandise to fulfill all of your southern/boho needs. It's home to everything from well known designers as well as local designers and artisans. Very fun clothes and accessories. I happened to stop in before the place was even opened for the day after breakfast down the way at Biscuits, Love, Brunch and the sweet owner let me in. She was extremely friendly and welcoming to my girls and me. Prices are a tad higher as you would expect from any trendy boutique, but there are some special items here. Totally crushing on the beaded horn necklaces. The two story space itself is beautiful, carefully merchandised and has fun details such as up-cycled chairs and a stunning chandelier. I would definitely recommend a stop in if you're in the area and if you're a funky, boho rocker type gal. read more

This boutique could be T-R-O-U-B-L-E for this broad... the sheer fact that it is just a little over a mile away from my home is terrifying enough. I knew that I should lock my wallet in my car right when I walked in - the layout and merchandising is beautifully executed and the space oozes a chic aesthetic that is taunting my checking account. The friendly shopgirl on duty was helpful but not overbearing as she allowed me to saunter through the space without disturbance. My mission was to find a birthday gift for a close friend and within moments, I found the perfect gift. I was able to score 3 fun monogrammed necklace charms ($8 each) and a necklace for under $40 and also cute little pet charms for her beloved cat and dog for $8 each too. The shopgirl offered to box it and wrap it in a lovely bag while I investigated around some more. I sifted through the racks and displays and found many familiar contemporary brands that included Michael Stars, Eva Franco, French Connection, and Nashville's own Leona. I loved the upstairs loft that offered up even more shopping areas and a fitting room. I found some gorgeous jewelry that repurposed vintage Chanel buttons (local designer) and couldn't resist a beautiful gold bracelet with the infamous double C's ($224). I may have to go back for the little button earrings! Next up were the 2 Tokyo Milk scents ($38) that just had to be purchased... From the comfy loungewear and sleepwear to denim, accessories, shoes, and gift items, E Allen offers up a beautifully curated collection of wares for the contemporary lady. I'm adding this spot as one of "my favorite places to shop" list! TIP: Parking is free for the first hour across the street. read more

I was looking for something nice to buy my fiance, and was sent this store by her good friends. Upon walking in for the first time in what always feels like uncharted territory for a man in a women's store, I was greeted with a bright smile and treated with the utmost respect. The sales associates asked me what I was looking for, helped me stay in budget, and shared what was "trendy" and selling well in the store. My friend was visiting from Chicago and we stopped in to this boutique and it was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. The three women up front were preoccupied with a possible celebrity sighting and one of them ran out of the store in the midst of people shopping. Not once were we asked if we needed help or anything. Every boutique we entered the sales associates were wearing masks in the middle of a pandemic, not the associates at E. Allen though. My favorite store to shop at! An amazing selection of forever pieces that I invest in as well as trendy pieces I don't have to splurge on. The customer service is amazing and almost always walk out with something in hand. Though there may be brands here that other stores carry there aren't the same pieces. I visited e.Allen this past weekend as an out of towner not living in the area. I purchased earrings and later realized they didn't suit me. I tried to return the earrings the very next day to which I was informed that jewelry is final sale. Unbeknownst to me, there is a sign at checkout that says this. It was also not on my receipt that this was the return policy, only that exchanges/store credit are given. IMO, this is really poor customer service to rely on your consumers to read a policy which isn't communicated by a salesperson at checkout, and then to have a return policy on the receipt that doesn't align or mention jewelry is final sale. Needless to say, even after my honest explanation I didn't see the sign, they still wouldn't accept the jewelry for exchange/store credit. For that reason, I'll never purchase from this store again. There are plenty of other retail and jewelry stores that don't have such a strict return policy and provide better communication and customer service. People change their mind and they should accommodate for that. read more

Was recently in town for "Living with Landyn" and wanted to check this store out. Being from out of town, I didn't realize that it was pay parking only. Luckily, I found a parking spot on the street and ran inside to see if they could make change for me (I only had cash). I was informed that they couldn't make change so I never had the opportunity to shop here. I was so turned off by their unwillingness to help me park at THEIR STORE.
