So glad I finally got to check out United Apparel Liquidators. This store is a hidden gem located near Vanderbilt university in a strip mall. The store sells high end designer clothing, jewelry, shoes, housewares and more for both men and women! Many high end brands as well as costume and real jewelry! You won't regret stopping by. Merchandise changes often! Also prices range from $20 in clearance to the hundreds for nicer brands. Definitely something for everyone! lovely staff as well.

OK. I have found it! My new obsession...is this a good thing? YES. So, I had heard this store was opening...you could buy designer clothes for like, 90% off. I didn't totally believe they would be designer, but OH HECK YEAH they are! Let me just paint the picture for you...UAL is located in the old Vandyland location (no more yummy Southern food and milkshakes, but SO glad this moved in!)...so it's not a fancy store. Think cement floors, open "warehouse" style, unfinished ceilings, etc. And you pretty much walk in to chaos. But oh is it worth it! They get new shipments in every DAY! So can you see why I'm obsessed? Labels such as Jimmy Choo (seriously? heels for $150!!!!!!), Balenciaga, Velvet, Black Opal, Hollywould, Michael Kors, and MANY others live there. Here's the kicker--they really ARE like 70-90% off (I'm not kidding about the Jimmy Choos...probably $650 shoes at $150--can't beat that with a stick!). Now, it is a bit of a scavenger hunt...you have to get over the "couture on the floor" of it all ha! No, I'm kidding on that, there were not clothes on the floor, but it is a bit sad to see a beautiful $3,000 gown on a plastic hanger against a bland wall...sad, that is, until you see it's $250 price tag! WHAT? YAY!!!!!!!! Yeah...I got over the sadness really quick! Other positives are the overall sense of fun in the store--the owner is hilarious, don't be shocked if she yells hello to you from across the store, and even in this environment, the sales girls (and guys) are very helpful and knowledgeable. The dressing rooms are big and roomy with great mirrors too--they don't make you walk outside in the store to check out your outfit, like some places do! So it's not your usual couture and designer shopping experience, but totally worth it. After about 5 trips to UAL in almost as many days, I was hesitant to even disclose my new-found shopping secret, but hey it is my Scout duty so, Nashvillians, here you go! I give you, UAL!

Thanks to yelp I found this gem while visiting TN. It's a decent sized store for what it is and yes even tho you have to dig a little it's not any different from any other clothing store. Except you'll see better labels like Helmut Lange, Oscar De La Renta, Ralph Lauren, Chloe and Chanel to name a few. The ladies who work there are very sweet and offer lots of assistance. The clearance rack is pretty good. Actually really good. The shoe selection is pretty decent. They offer discount rates on high end labels, so they may have minor flaws with a zipper or a slight defect that you could live with or easily fix. I will definitely be back every time I visit. They also have a good selection on bags/purses. I was surprised to see them carry Temptu products as well. Highly recommend.

Found a really cute, unique Ikat top here for $30 in their discounted rack. Most items more expensive.

My mom and I, a well dressed duo of 23 and 50, were shopping and having fun and looking to shop. I asked for a pair of boots and it took 10 minutes for them to even tell me they looked and didnt see any. We tried on multiple things and went in the larger try on space with the larger mirror--none of the girls acknowledged us or told us they liked what we were trying on. We ultimately loved a pair of Mother jeans ($230) and a MISA dress ($495!) and decided to take our business elsewhere to purchase those items because of how horrible the shopping experience was. I cant believe this store would keep these employees after multiple 1 star reviews saying the same thing. E. Allen, do better, be kind, and work on your business model. Do not give them your business, and i would give them zero stars if i could!

Obsidian has properties that ward off negativity energy, and can be a powerful anchor in keeping people grounded. Clear quartz has also been used as a shield against negative energy and provides positive energy. It is believed to have positive mental and emotional healing properties, and can stimulate the immune system, among other things. There was a free graveled parking lot behind Cosmic Connections, which looks like a converted older home. The entrance to the store is in the front. This store is on the first floor, and I felt a calmness upon entering through the door. The employees are very attentive, and one of them warmly greeted us as we walked in. She told us the main items that were in each room, so to give us a general lay of the land. She asked if there was anything specifically that she could help us with, and I told her that we were just looking, for now. with that, she told us that any of the employees would be able to help us if we needed assistance. We walked around through every room, and at least one employee in each of the rooms (4) came to us and asked if we needed help finding anything. I asked about black obsidian and clear quartz crystals, and I was shown items in two different rooms. I liked that I was shopping in person, rather than shopping via online, because I can personally see the crystals and get a good idea of whether or not those are actually the ones for me. The prices I paid were very good! This store has a good variety of crystals, incense, books, candles, soaps, oils, books and many other items for your metaphysical needs. I will be coming back for sure the next time I'm in Nashville.

I can remember when I first drove through the 12 South neighborhood when I moved to Nashville in…read more2008... my, oh my, how it has changed! For the lasses who love labels and covet designer denim, there was only Moda standing strong next to Frothy Monkey for quite some time but now this strip is lined with fashion forward options that include Leona, Judith Bright, White's Mercantile, The Label, and much more - with Emerson Grace being the newest kid on the block. Nestled in the shopping center as Jeni's Ice Creams, Cadeau, and Josephine, this fashion boutique caters to both Men + Women who seek designer duds and accessories. I could sense immediately that the sister store is based out of Los Angeles due to the hint of West Coast vibe and contemporary brands such as Current Elliott, Rag & Bone, A.L.C. Kelly Wearstler, Sanctuary, and more. I also admire that they also support local when I was greeted by a table of handbags made by local maker as soon as I walked in. They also recently hosted a trunk show for Nashville designers Jamie and the Jones too. While prices aren't for the budget-y babes, you can still scour a sale rack (in the back) for some deeply discounted pieces. When I was in last weekend, this single rack had pieces marked 60% off the original price. I was able to also score a fabulous Kelly Wearstler ring for only $45 when the sales associate assisted me at the jewelry cases. I had already decided to purchase a fun little necklace for $50 and then she showed me a tray full of their sale jewelry too. I couldn't say no! Service was solid and the staff were friendly. I was on a time crunch so I wasn't able to explore the Men's section but I bet that many fellas will be happy to know that the store was pretty evenly split with male and female merchandise. There were some great shoe options in the back along with some sleepwear and accessories throughout. I fancied a few of the scarves that were on display. I was most impressed with their extensive jewelry selection that encased the cashwrap area in the middle of the store. I'll definitely be back sooner than later!

Instead of saying something like "Isn't it cute? No, it's not real, but it doesn't tarnish". I decided right then that I wasn't going to give that store my money. Awful way to (not) sell your cheaply made, overpriced stuff. Music in the store was good, though.
