Then at checkout the same woman with poor customer service skills, continued to give me me a hard time because the pants were a different size from the suit coat, even though it clearly stated the pants were different on the tag. She tried not to sell me the suit. It was for my grandsons 9 year old brothers funeral. The store is beautiful, well maintained, and they have a great selection. However, the workers were not friendly nor helpful. I asked one gal a question and she was visibly annoyed that I asked for a price on something that didn't have a tag. She didn't even look at me and replied in the most monotone voice. There were 4 customers in the store and 3 employees, but all of the employees were just chit chatting behind the counter. Disappointing experience to be honest. Really hope they improve in the future.

You already know them for their…read moreincredible world-renowned designs, from Johnny Cash, too many stars, celebrities and public figures to name. But the humility exhibited by this brilliant national treasure, is unbelievable. Manuel designs, sews and embroiders in his shop, and his talented apprentices do it all by hand. I suggested a theme for a face mask- "something with roses." and staff member Welty and Manuel Cuevas himself made my mask and they knocked it out of the park. Manuel never makes the same design twice. So whether you're getting fitted in person for a full Manuel Couture suit, or you're ordering your own bit of bling- a Manuel face mask, or scarf etc etc over the phone (I'm in NYC and so, if you can't get there, you can still get 'a Manuel) as well as affordable shop-made ready-to-purchase masks, hats etc. - it is YOUR Manuel, no two like it in the world. And the class, kindness, humility and real concern of Manuel, who sets the tone for his outstanding staff is unbelievable. Don't forget to say hello if you can, to his incredible daughter Morelia, the Rhinestone Heiress, daughter of Manuel and granddaughter to Nudie ("Nudie suit" -many tailored by Manuel when he was starting out there) and the utterly charming lifelong ambassador for Manuel brand. I wasn't just 'happy with my purchase'- like a store. I was over the moon about the design Manuel made for me. But it was also a true honor, to be able to have my own "Manuel" bling- my own piece of hand-made art, from wonderful, living legend. If you never thought of ordering a design from Manuel, I could not urge you more strongly to just look at what they have (or make an appointment and stop by), let your imagination run, and hand your thoughts over to The man who made Johnny Cash- The Man in Black. Of all the clothes you own? Shockingly affordable if you want a piece of true American couture, your Manuel will not be 'clothes'. His work is like a treasured family gem. (The shop has moved, but is still very much open! I found them on fb!)

What a great quality product and absolutely unexpected gem of a find for my husband during our…read morerecent trip to Nashville. This was a new brand to us all together and we loved the fabrics and the styles. My husband walked away with two shirts and a jacket. All of the materials are super soft (like buttery), no-iron and cuts are ready-to-wear off the shelf and look perfect on my husband. Although there are a few "cuts/styles" of let's say shirts, they are athletically cut and tailored, but off the shelf...there is definitely a market for this concept and I think State and Liberty looks to play a roll. We brought everything back to Vegas and my husband just wore the jacket today...he looked cool, classy, original and a bit baller I might say! Grace. What a great spirit of the State and Liberty brand working at this location here in Nashville. Thank you Grace for all of your help with my husband's purchases and the thoughtful time you spent with us to understand the brand, clothing and materials. Grace was excellent in her customer service. She made us feel welcome, she was relaxed in working with my husband on styles, she was knowledgeable of the brand and she made us feel good about our purchase. We loved everything about visiting this store and look forward to making future purchases from the brand in the future.
