After calling different shops in the area ahead of time, I found Abednego had the best selection, and store manager Laura was amazingly kind and accommodating! When we arrived at the store, she had gift-wrapped the Jellycats for my daughter and her friend, and even added a cute pink helium balloon to make it extra fun. She had asked me her fav color the day before we arrived- talk about going above and beyond to help us with the surprise! Such a thoughtful touch and a really beautiful shop. Mackenzie was working the day we came in, and she was just the sweetest! I highly recommend supporting this small business and we will certainly be back next time we're in town.

Tonight Doc got us reservations for a Speakeasy Mystery Crawl in Nashville. The COLD night air confirmed I better buy a black coat to match the new black dress since they have a dress code. Thankfully I found a bedazzled light weight black coat for $30, bling earrings and a ring to get into the mood for this evening's 7:30 pm event. This shop did not have that musty smell like Goodwill or Savers. We'd shop for music or Big Sky bears ages ago but not clothes. I think watching Twilight Zone in my school age years gave me the Willie's of wearing someone else's clothes. Hub's aunty even told them she had nightmares with her own mom's clothes when she passed. Hopefully the one sage bundle i saw in the shop will be cleansing enough with my purchases. Hubs stayed in the car with Grandpup and Doc decided to go next door and treated us to coffee. Thanks Doc for driving again today and the afternoon caffeine.

The person at the cash register was super friendly and helpful, and even pointed me the in direction of a local market that was happening at the same time. If you're traveling through town, it's basically impossible to get your money back. I've been trying to find another piece to replace one item I bought that needed ho being way too short. I'm not one to wear things that show half of my butt. For the price point, I expected better quality items. I really like this store and would like to support local but I will not be coming back. The last dress I bought was so cute and transparent. I don't expect that from a dress that costs $80. They said use shape wear and it'll work but it made me look like I have rolls. When I tried to return this, the receipt was somehow lost so they would not take the dress back. Within 7 days, they were evidently unable to pull the purchase from my account. I keep running into issues with the sizing and selection of clothes so haven't been able to find anything that worked to return on previous purchase. The other top I bought for $60 has shrunk after one wash and no longer fits. So many items are way too cropped or transparent. I think the quality here has gone way down. I also purchased a denim skirt with shorts under thinking the shorts would help with the length of the skirt. Because of the return policy, I don't have the option to dispute the transaction from my credit card since I've had to use store credit.

International Coffee, Galena Garlic and Adobe Mercantile are usually spots we frequent when wandering around, and Gift Horse is a cool place for a quirky or local gift for folks. Food wise, Maru and East Creamery are always on point and hit the spot! Hours of each shop differ, so make sure you look specifically at the hours of the places you want to visit. There is no real consistency amongst the shops from an overall hours perspective, which can be a tad frustrating. Parking is a bit wonky as well, nothing really dedicated at all times. When I tried to return it to Nordstrom, I was told it was outside the ABLE return window and they had no authority to override the policy. They suggested I contact ABLE directly. I did and was told Nordstrom, and their system, was the problem and I should contact them. ABLE's response puts me--the customer--in the middle and makes it impossible to resolve this issue. And, after many years of excellent customer service from Nordstrom, I suspect ABLE and not Nordstrom is the problem. To be clear, I was responsible for knowing the seller of the item I purchased and their return policy. I did not; my fault. But, when I contacted them, if ABLE had confirmed their policy and graciously refused the return, I would have been unhappy but I would have respected their response and continued purchasing their products, being more careful in the future of their return policy. As it is, I will avoid their products; customer service is everything.
