Be sure to ask what the price is going to be before you drop anything off here! I brought a dress in to be hemmed... A full length dress, but a very simple straight hem. The dress is lined, but I can't imagine it took her more than an hour to do, if that. Unfortunately, I assumed the price might be $40 or so, so I didn't ask before I left it there. Had she told me the price it ended up being, I would have gone elsewhere. IT WAS $76 ! At that price, I was halfway to a new dress! Needless to say, I had to hand over my credit card and just take my dress... I could barely manage a whispered "thank you" as I walked out the door. I was beyond stunned. Am I completely off-base? Should it cost over $75! to do a simple hem - no ruffles, no extra pleats - just a straight hem? I learned two valuable lessons with this: First: DON'T go to Grace's Alterations next time, and wherever I do go, ask the price before leaving the garment. read more

I took my prom dress here to get about 2 inches taken off the train of my dress. Prom day came and I realized they did not hem the sequin layer of my dress, however they hemmed the fabric under it. I lost tons of sequins and beads of my dress after spending lots of $$$ for the alterations. Sunny's matched the thread and stitching quite well, did not leave the creases or indentations some high volume tailors' sewing equipment leave behind, and got the sizes right. I've been to several different Tailors in the area and hands-down, Grace is the best. First of all, she is always kind and considerate. It doesn't matter if she thinks your alteration is worth her time or not, she treats you with respect and does her best to help you out with whatever it is that you were needing. Second, the work she does is fantastic. I almost never have a trouble with Alterations and I have been there over 20 times. Third, the alterations are always ready on time! There has been a rare circumstance where she has contacted me ahead of time to let me know something wasn't ready but I never show up and discover that oops, you made a waste a trip and nothing is ready. I've had that experience repeatedly at other Tailors in the area! And lastly, she is affordable. I always feel like my alterations are reasonably priced. I would hands-down recommend her! read more

Grace is my go to for all of my alterations. She is very quick and does great work. I accidentally stepped through one of my hemmed seams in my pants and she fixed them immediately and didn't charge me. She also fixed my wife's shirt that had a number of beads that were falling off. read more

NOT a good place to go for alterations. I went there for 4 different garments at different times, and she messed up two of them. She then refused to fix her mistakes unless I paid more.
