Ruined 3 men's dress shirts. Came to me with strange dark stains all along the edges of the front pockets and down the length of the edge in the buttons crease. They sent back twice to try to fix (took forever) and weren't able to get the stains out that they created. They offered no solution, and I discovered they have no damaged items policy. Told me nothing they would do. Very disappointed and won't be back. read more

This is absolutely our favorite dry cleaners... The owner Jimmy is always so helpful and they also have pick up and delivery which we use most of the time. I had a two piece mens suit cleaned, costing 19.45. I was charged for a "blazer" and a pair of pants. I called another Jimmy's cleaners site and was quoted 17.88 for a two piece suit. First time using Jimmy's Cleaners and it will be my last time. I am disappointed in their bait and switch pricing and awful laundry service. I brought 11 dress shirts to be laundered and pressed. When I returned I had to tell them the order was missing two shirts. I came in with 11 but they only brought me nine shirts. They found the other two shirts when searching the back rack of clothes. Their original cost was over $50. I had to remind them of the $2.89 pricing quoted to me when I brought them to be laundered and pressed. All the receipts had to be tabulated again into the register. Somehow the pricing changed for one shirt. They said it was large...(charging me $3.49) however; they are all the same size dress shirts. Then they said they had to "dry clean" two other dress shirts. Frustrated, I paid and went home. Later that night my husband pulled the two "dry cleaned" shirts out of the plastic and wanted to know why they charged me $16.49 when the clothing tags said cold water machine wash". They should have been laundered and pressed like the rest. Next, he pulled off the plastic from the other dress shirts and found all were wrinkled. For spending over $46.00 for 11 dress shirts....only to have to iron them again is ridiculous. I do not trust the business practices with their bait and switch pricing and lousy laundry services. read more

My designer dress is ruined. They don't know how to properly treat fabrics. The item was returned to me feeling stiff and yellowed, almost like the wrong chemical was used to treat delicate silk fabric. Creases and wrinkles were pressed into the dress. All the buttons are damaged - originally white but now all chipped. I just lost a special dress that is irreplaceable. The employee told me to leave the item and speak to the manager, so I have yet to find out how they will handle this situation. read more

Just terrible. I've had clothes damaged. And clothes come back looking like they weren't even cleaned.

Very unreliable. We dropped of a ladies dress jacket and dress pants and they were ruined. They were returned to us with stains all over them. We took them back and Jimmies tried to clean them multiple times. The jacket was ruined however the pants were somewhat salvageable. It was very difficult to get any kind of response from Jimmy but after many calls and visits to there location, Jimmy decided to give us a refund for the cost of the jacket and store credit for the pants. This was a very painful process but were were somewhat ok with the outcome. Well, that was until we used the store credit on a brand new (special) sports jacket that was to be worn for a fund raising event. We picked it up Friday morning and found they had stained the front of the jacket. The event is on Saturday. I was hoping that Jimmy's could be able to rush this in and try and get the stain out. That is the least they can do. Unfortunately Jimmy doesn't have anyone that can do this on Friday's. Quality contol is horrible. It is very unfortunate that Jimmy's has failed us big, twice! I used Jimmy's cleaners all the time when I was working. Pants dry cleaned, shirts laundered etc. Never had any issues or incidents like described in some of these reviews. When I retired, went to Golf shirts and sometimes shirts. Equally satisfied. Just saying! read more

If could give a zero star review I would. This place is close to where we live and the ladies who run the Port Royal store are darlings. This was the second strike for Jimmy's however. I took 2 dresses that were brand new to Jimmy's to have snaps put in, on to hold a bra strap on a sleeveless dress and one a snap to hold the lapels together. When I picked up the dresses, there was only one. The lady called immediately but got no answer as to where the other dress was. I went back 2 days later, still no dress...which was a white sheath dress which had been worn one time for 2 hours to do a presentation. The lady called again and was told that the dress was there and they would "send it on the truck tomorrow". I went back the next day, still no dress. The lady called again, was now told "the dress has a red stain from a bleed on it and is being cleaned again." (There were NO stains on the dress when I took it in.) Went back the next day and she called again, "the dress is ready and will be on today's truck". I went back this morning and NO DRESS. She called over again and was told it was "being pressed". Keep in mind that the other dress had been cleaned and returned 6 days previously and I brought them in together. I went over to the main plant and there was JIMMY. I explained to him what had happened and asked why the dress had a red stain/bleed. He DENIED that that had happened and that anyone told his staff that. I explained that I was standing right there listening to the conversation and that his staff had in fact, been told that. He got irate and stormed around the counter, picked up the dress and walked to the door and told me to leave. I literally thought he was going to throw the dress out the door. I told him that I was not leaving until he and I TOGETHER, looked at the dress to make sure that the red stain/bleed that his staff had told the counter girls about but which he was now denying was truly not there. He started screaming that he was going to call the police, I told him that maybe he should. He walked back over, hung up the dress and got right in my face screaming. I actually said to him "are you going to hit me?" I really thought he was going to hit me and in that moment thought, his poor staff and poor wife and kids (if he has any)....I really felt, in my opinion, that he was unhinged and irrational as well as potentially, again in my personal opinion based on the behavior he was displaying to me, dangerous. To go off on a woman to the point that she is concerned that you are going to hit her? And a customer no less. Totally unacceptable. He was able to rein himself in and take a step back and go behind the counter. I am not easily intimidated by men so, my thought was, if he is stupid enough to hit me, the police will be called and he will go to jail. I focused on keeping calm myself and on point. I made him look at the dress with me and, I pointed put a stain, a mall one that was on the shoulder. This set him off again screaming and yelling. It was truly unbelievable. He ordered me out of the store. I advised him that I would be giving not only his store but him personally a bad review. I also swung back by his PR store and told the gal there that I felt like she needed to e very careful of him. In addition I offered to pay for the other dress (they had let me take that one earlier and said I could pay for both when the white one came in) because I was worried that Jimmy would go off on these sweet ladies if they let the other dress go without payment. (And truthfully, there was nothing wrong with the dress so it should have been paid for. The lady assured me that it was fine and again apologized and said she would not charge me due to the troubles and repeated visits.) The second issue was in the fall I took 2 pairs of my son's pants to be taken in from a 30 to a 28. They added two inches. I took them back and showed them that they had done the wrong thing. They took them back and 10 days later called that the pants were ready....went back and NOTHING had been done. It ended up taking over a month to have 2 pairs of pants taken in and many trips. UGH! Jimmy needs to learn that screaming at customers to the point that they are fearful that they will be physically assaulted in NEVER ok. A simple apology and a TRUTHFUL explanation of what had happened would go a long way towards happy customers. Clearly, because I do not want to risk a physical assault from this man and also because of the poor attention to detail and repeated problems with the dry cleaning, I cannot in good conscience recommend Jimmy's nor will I be going back. ACE Cleaners is opening a new store literally a block away from Jimmy's on Port Royal and, I am guessing that they will get a lot of Jimmy's customers....I know the will be getting my business. read more

I had 4 curtains I took to jimmy's cleaners. 1 panel came back a darker white. I was very pleased that jimmy ended up calling me asking what he could do to make it right. He tried to fix it, but it did not help. He ended up refunding my money for the cleaning and compensating me to replace my curtains. I had never had issues there before. I'm thankful he was willing to make things right. In a time when customer service is lacking, i was really pleasantly surprised Jimmy called me to take care of me. Sometimes bad things happen, but it's how you take care of your customers that can make the difference. Thanks Jimmy for stepping up to the plate and taking care of this customer. read more

Tried them as they are close to where I live. They have lost one pair of slacks and ruined another for a total loss of about $800. Also the ticket system is loose and doesn't work - which is ok if you don't lose or ruin things. Will be taking my business elsewhere read more

I've gone to an alterations place up in Brentwood for the past 13 years and I loved them, but I'm not working in Brentwood anymore so I needed a place closer to home. I decided to try this place. It was a horrible experience. I was willing to give it another shot if anyone here had even remotely attempted to rectify the situation, but no such luck. I dropped off 2 pair of pants to be hemmed on a Wednesday. I needed them by Thursday of the next week (8 days later), which is when I was told they would be ready, if not sooner. One pair I had bought specifically for a trip that I leaving to go on the day after they were supposed to be ready. The day before my trip, I had my bags packed and ready to go, just needed to put the pants in my bag, I was flying and taking a carry on, so had planned two outfits around this one pair of pants in order to pack more efficiently. I went to pick them up at 5:30 (the time I was told to come) on the Thursday when they were supposed to be ready and - THEY WERE NOT THERE. And the teenage guy working at the time could not have cared less. Basically told me there was NOTHING that could be done - the place that actually did the alterations and then brings them back to this location was already closed. That was it. My flight left very early the next morning. So instead of getting to bed early that night, I was left scrambling to repack everything entirely and super stressed out. In all the years that I took things to my previous place, not one time did I ever go to pick something up and it wasn't ready. Not once. When I went back AFTER my trip to pick up the pants (that I no longer needed; they were for the beach and it's November here), the lady working took my name and number and said she'd let the manager know and someone would call me. It's been FOUR weeks and no call. If this is how they run their business, I'll take my business elsewhere. Based on this experience and their complete lack of follow-up, I would NOT recommend this place. read more
