The same fella greeted me and called me "boss man" about 30 times as we talked about various ant and beetle killers. Their selection is limited, but seemed to focus more on plumbing and gardening supplies than traditional hardware. Maybe that is the niche they have carved out to survive in. Now, Luke did leave something out. I suspect that he wanted to avoid being indelicate, but I think it bears mentioning. This friendly, helpful clerk patrolling the floors and calling everyone "boss man" looks indigent. He is scrawny, dirty, and missing all of his front teeth. Friendly as hell, but quite a sight. I'm only saying it so you aren't alarmed when he approaches you.

Great place for those items that are tough to find but not in most retailers. The screws and nails are still sold by the pound! They have been in business here since 1899! There's tables full of tools and merchandise and bins of fasteners and they'll cut keys for you and I've even purchased gardening tools here but they just might be functional souvenirs from the coolest gift shop ever ;-) Really, there's spare parts and fluids and coatings in wall cubbies for things that were old when Moses was young; an amazing array of scythes, buck-saws, and other implements of indeterminate age but obviously well used and cared for as you would expect in these surroundings.

I said in the garage along the truck, but he put it on horizontally leaving me little room to walk around it, much less any way to get it off the metal frame it came on. One of them took a photo of the delivery, then they packed up and left without saying a word a word, no Thank You, no nothing. Damn, if you hate your job and dealing with people that bad, then quit and go get another one! My wife and then had to tug and pull the mower into a vertical position so I could get it off the frame. Wish I had looked at Home Depot reviews before I ordered as all of them in my area have 2.5 stars at best and 1.5 stars on the corporate website, which just goes to show how far down hill Home Depot customer service has gone. This was the sorry assed customer service I got for the $2600 I spent which just proves Home Depot does not give a damn about its customers!! So the next time I need another major purchase, it for damn sure will not be made at Home Depot!!

After doing my research, I found that LG was offering a much better deal directly through their website: free shipping, free haul away, free installation, and a $100 instant rebate when purchasing both the washer and dryer together. When I asked Lowe's if they would match these offers, they declined. That was disappointing, especially since these promotions were clearly available from the manufacturer. Because of that, I went ahead and purchased directly from LG--and ended up saving about $350 overall. The experience was smooth from start to finish. Delivery was on time, the team was professional, and everything arrived in pristine condition. Installation was included and handled efficiently, exactly as promised. The appliances themselves are excellent and perform as expected, but Lowe's lost a sale simply because they wouldn't stay competitive. In today's retail environment, that's a costly miss. Ask yourself if saving $350 matters to you.

Inside the store there's everything from super spendy special purpose tools to the "single use disposables" so decide how much tool you need and what you're willing to pay to get your chores done. Clothing options include boots, socks, safety and outer wear, and boots; trailer accessories, blocks, tackles, and lights; welders, torches, helmets and hand tools; shovels, barrows, wire, and so on and on... I like this place and would be here more except that means something else broke and I'm fixing it. Not a whole lot of "helpiness" to be had in the store, more likely to get the "where" than the "how" or "what" than "why". If you don't know what you need they probably don't too (and you've seen it!) So come on in and have a look, you'll probably have a bigger to do list when you leave.
