Inventory was good and the store clean and organized. They had about 4 self checkouts but they were all unavailable. Additional amenities were a garden center, Subway and Auntie Annie's.

The employees, for the most part, are pretty nice here and always happy to help with whatever you need. As far as coming here for work or reading some cool books goes, the overall experience of doing either things here has worsened throughout the years. Here are some reasons: (1) There used to be a lot more sitting space upstairs with 2 full desks on each side -- near outlets too! They seemed to have reduced that to one desk per side with a few smaller, random tables here and there, but without access to outlets :(. (Outlets are our friends!) (2) So much noise! On either floor, there never seems to be much quiet. Now, I realize this is a book store and not a library. However, I still feel like whether you're silently doing work upstairs or grabbing some cup o' joe downstairs, there's always a plethora of noise that puts a damper on your experience. (3) Tables downstairs even have started to get smaller -- not kidding! (4) Wi-fi can be occasionally shoddy (I know it's complimentary, but just sayin'!). (5) They used to be open until 11pm on weekends, but now close at 10pm :(. I know that's not that much of a difference, but sometimes it helps to have the extra hour when you got your late-night study sesh going on! All those complaints aside (sorry for the list!), this B&N isn't so bad. It definitely stands big&tall at Main Street so definitely pop inside at least once!

I tip service people very generously, bring them gifts, offer them free legal advice (no joke), the list goes on. But I call out heinous service when I experience it as well. The B&N in Exton, PA's customer service is *so* gut-wrenching that I stopped going and now check my books out of the LIBRARY instead. The best service you get there is at their quasi-Starbucks: the women and man who work there treat you like *you* owe *them;* they tell each other private jokes as they ring you up (you are inconveniencing them, don't forget), they demonstrate their anger if you don't tip them for a $7 coffee.... Most heinous to experience here is the employee Rashaan. If he rings you up for books you are paying your hard-earned $ for, he lets you know that he has rage that you are in his line. He doesn't ask "are you a B&N member?" (I am.) He doesn't give you Member discounts. He doesn't speak--just gives you a rage-filled cold, silent stare. Forget "hello" or "thank you." What's more, he stands, on his break, in the afore-mentioned Starbucks area, screaming complaints about customers. He swears during these episodes as well. I've heard him yelling about "She was so f'n dumb! She asked me where the readers were. They were right f'n there in front of her!" I was so upset, I left, but watched him complain animatedly for an entire 20 minutes. That's your dedication to customer service, B&N. Never will you get my money again. Toodles.

They have a good collection of seasonal dress, shoes and home essentials too. I go to this location primarily for clothing and home essentials and have done some formal shoes shopping in the past too. The cost seems high but you will be able to get coupons in their app or via emails or sites too which will give better value for the buy. They do have Amazon drop off location for returns the service is pretty fast. The staff here is always friendly and willing to assist us in need.

The collection they have is greater than other targets nearby giving a great value.
