Review is only for this location. Let me start by saying that the pharmacy and staff are top notch. Always professional, friendly, knowledgeable. Prescriptions are always ready when they say they notify me and they answer any questions I have without ever treating me like I'm bothering them. The pharmacy is the only reason I come to this location. For purchases I'll make the longer drive and go to Kennett Square. The Exton location usually has one or two lanes open AT MOST even when the store is busy, has zero self-checkout lanes and it's just a nightmare to just pick something up and get in an out without it feeling like teeth gnashing. Pharmacy = YES!!! Normal shopping = No, it's worth it to spend the gas and drive to a different location. read more

If you just look for low prices and nothing more, then this Walmart Pharmacy will probably meet your needs. But if are looking for Customer Service instead of Attitude, then head somewhere else with the issues coming directly from the Phamacy Manager with her factory mentality. I considered moving my perscriptions over to the Exton Walmart Pharmacy and then came accross the Pharmacy Manager, Tessa Nguyen, and the idea of transfer died immediately. If you hoped that Pharmacy Manager did NOT share the same level of customer service as is expected at a low cost retailer like Walmat, sorry but no such luck. From speaking to her, it was clear that any recognition short-comings in customer service and "how can I help attitude" at this Pharmacy are not going to come from her example but instead she would rather point out that the real issue is the Customer having excessive expectations that they actually cared about your health. read more

Visited this location again for shopping needs, staff is friendly and helpful and able to get lot of seasonal items on sale. During Spring and Summer, they do have garden section open and has good items for sale. read more

Morning manager is very unprofessional and incident went down in the store. He addressed it with the employee that the incident was in front of everybody instead of doing it behind closed doors. Then after the person left, he bragged about it to all the other staff members. Bragging about what had happened. This store is super super super unprofessional. For the exception of the pharmacy, pharmacy is awesome, Top-notch. Everywhere else garbage. If I was corporate, I would pay the store visit and revamp the management in it. read more

If you have to shop at Walmart exton pa, be careful. This store is not practicing in a professional honest manner. 1, cashier does not show you the price of each item, it does not the total. This is the only store like this in the entire country. 2, The prices are very different from the sticker showing on the shelf, call back price 1.50, original price 2.08, and I was charged 4.98. Plus, I only picked 2 bags of the same item, but, was charged 3 bags Again, this is not the first time! most time i just let it go, or doubt it was me made mistake. but, when $1.50 item charged me 4.98, plus something i did not have, that made me angrey . Their pharmacy is horrible. Out of nowhere they tell me they've not been following their own policy for two years regarding prescribed meds via telehealth and just tossed me off as a customer. There was no apology. No acknowledgment of their own mistake. No notice in advance. Just a figure-it-out-yourself attitude and a tone towards me as though I was a "bad girl." I get mistakes being made. Apologies can create a lot of understanding. Being supportive and recommending other pharmacies would go a long, long way. But that's not the caliber of the pharmacist I had to deal with today, 5/16/25 at 3pm. Being a loyal customer to Walmart pharmacies since 2017 means nothing, I suppose. This store is the reason Yelp should allow for a NEGATIVE STAR review. The only thing I go there for is the 1 hour photo. Over the years it's been excruciating to have to pick up 1 hour photos. Know Why? Because it takes me LONGER THAN AN HOUR TO GET ANY EMPLOYEE TO WALK OVER TO PHOTO DEPT AND GET THE PHOTOS OUT OF THE DANG FILING CABINET . Often I would try electronics dept. to find some help, the employee will make eye contact and then turn and walk directly away from assisting me. Deliberately, walk away from assisting a customer. Yes, happens multiple times at this location. Or how about the ones that can't read? Sadly, that's the case. I had to assist them in going through the photos until I located mine. For the last YEAR I've been placing my 1 hour photo order, paying for it online, then simply picking it up at the photo desk. It's worked out great til yesterday. I'm picking up my photos. and some self important big boy came rolling up telling me "You can't do that!" "You can't be behind the counter!" Seriously, I've been doing the job of the employees for almost a year and this schmuck thinks he can roll up and berate me for the photos I'VE ALREADY PAID for. My mom and I went here to find a large bookshelf and lamp for my new apartment. We were very surprised with the prices of our items and found them easily. The lamp was only $9 and the 5-shelf bookshelf was only $40. What a deal! We were in and out of the store within 30 minutes and we were very satisfied with our successful Walmart trip. read more

This Walmart is the closest where I live and I like the fair deals and prices on selection, but my problem is that the store needs to be more organized like everything is at the right price. Employees look like they don't want to be there and working and asking when their break is and look miserable at the register with long lines and only 4 open lanes and some of them can yell at you for no reason or ask a simple question. I will still go to this location for quick shopping but if I was you I would rather go to the Kennett Square location which is only 30 minutes away. read more

Went in to get a hunting license and there was no one at the desk. Waited patiently at the desk for 10 minutes, but still the desk remained empty. I asked a worker for assistance and they said to press the help button. I then pressed the "Press for associate" button and waited for about another 10 minutes. I continued to press the button several times, however I still did not receive assistance. I then asked another worker if they could help me and they said they would go get another worker to help. They never returned. I finally found another worker to help me. She kept trying her log in, but it wasn't working. Will not go back there. read more

Not really a great store. Groceries were found but not in your traditional store setup and the selection was poor. I found what I needed although my experience could have been better. There were only 5 check outs and only 3 had cashiers. The self check out was faster. People were lined up to get checked out and of course this being outside of DC you have to pay a bag tax (ridiculous). I didn't use any bags. SMH. read more

The people who work there are usually really nice, but there are not enough of them! No excuse for the long checkout lines. Why have so many lanes if only one or two are open? This Walmart in Exton is by far the worst one I have ever been in. For as long as it has been open, the shelves all over are a mess, things on the floor, just trashy. You can tell by just looking at it that the employees don't care about their jobs here and most likely aren't getting any encouragement on how to care. It needs a management over-haul, but the higher-ups need to care also about the management here as well. The lines are long and I know some Walmarts that have gotten better with that. It's the Walmart that I visit regularly. The selections are not that great but since it's the only one near by I visit. The service is as per any other Walmart standards. The surroundings are ok compared to some of the Walmart's that I have visited in other states. Its not a super centre and hence the options are limited. read more

I recommend this place getting new management to run the place. I was there shopping and they announced over the loud speaker that Wal-Mart was closing in 20 minutes. So I quickly headed off to the register to cash out. Well since they only had ONE cash register open I went to that one and started putting my things down. The cashier shot me the DEADlIST look and stood there for a second staring at me. Number one: there was no one in line but me. Two: you have 20 mins before the store closes what is the problem? This Walmart was okay. We stopped in to grab some groceries on our way home from the mountains (it's about 10 minutes from the PA Turnpike). From the looks of the place (it's huge), we thought it was a Super Walmart but no - so no fresh meats or produce, or any of the other good stuff Super Walmarts offer. It also seemed a little disorganized to me so it took me awhile to find the things I was looking for. Oh well. We'd stop in for convenience's sake again, but at least we'll know next time what they have and don't have so we can plan accordingly. read more

Okay, we're talking about Walmart...you know what to expect. This review is for this specific location, not Walmart in general. The Good: Not much here that is good except the normal low Walmart prices on some items. The Bad: An absence of price checking machines. This is an important feature when you consider that a lot of what I looked at did not have a price on it. Also, I went there for a few things around 7 at night on a Sunday and there were only about 4 checkout lanes. The Ugly: The checkout lanes do not have a screen where you can see the prices of what you are buying. I have to ask how much items cost to make sure the price is accurate. Should have listened to all the reviews and not come to this location, but the according to the app they were the only semi local location that had the item I wanted. First of all, if you want to go grocery shopping here... don't. There's a mini grocery store but 0 produce, and I understand there are a lot of shortages going on but when every other store is stocked I don't understand why this store had empty shelves for so many products. Only one cashier open and handed me all my bags from the spinner but after getting home I realized one bag was missing from my purchase. Listened to the phone ring for literally 17 minutes for someone to answer with an annoyed tone. I had asked if the cashier turned the bag in or still had it at the register and after being put on hold I was told no, the cashier didn't get anything and was I sure I actually purchased those items. Yes I know I did, they were the last things scanned which is why I assumed the bag just got missed while I paid. I was then told the customer behind me must have taken it and "sorry bout that" and they hung up.... Uhhhh... ok. I understand missing a bag is also on me as a customer and not making sure I got all the bags on their weird rotating bagging station thing they have... but after working at Target for 4 years I would have NEVER told a guest "sorry bout that" and hung up. I would have offered to check cameras to confirm the customer didn't get the items and either refund the price or allow them to get the new items... like I paid for it and because of how the company has the bags move around it's just a loss now? That was easily about $20+ in painting and craft products.. not just a carton of milk. So what am I supposed to do about that now? Guess I just have to suck it up? Cool. read more

The worst Walmart I've been to, and shame on me for going twice, unfortunately- and I will not be back for a third. I thought maybe the first time they were having some problems, but two months later they again only have two cashiers open and no self check out- WHY?
