This review is going to be short because it is one of those rare places that can be. The food,…read moreservice, and atmosphere are phenomenal. This is an amazing addition to Eagle and I wish I worked closer so I could go there regularly. The awesome mini chaffing dishes for the entrees keeps your food piping hot and the little design flourishes in every aspect really elevate the experience. Don't miss this gem!

It was nice to find this place open on a Monday when many other places are closed in the start of the week. The menu is pretty extensive if you look on line with some odd fusion options that you don't see on the dine in menu. The food here is very good and while I like spicy food, I would definitely order my items mild again as some of the dishes packed some real heat. We are a sharing crew and split the butter chicken, the chicken 65 biriyani and a goat curry. We all would order these again. They came with plenty of white basmati rice on the side and extra was offered if we wanted more. We also ordered some naan and also puri (which is deep fried and rarely do we see it on the menu at the various Indian restaurants in the area). The breads are good, but I have had better. We ordered Lassis, mango and salt and were dissappointed that the $7 mango lassi was not freshly prepared as it came in a sealed bottle like a Wawa ice tea (their own brand) and a straw. Lesson learned on that one. Raita that usually accompanies the biriyani in most places was an extra - several dollars for less than 4 oz. Service was very pleasant and accommodating. Decor is modern with the dining room boldly colored in fire-engine red and black. Menus are on iPads so you have to keep swiping pages for each subsection as the menu is quite comprehensive. On this visit, there was Bollywood-style dancing continuously playing on the three large screens in the dining room with accompanying soundtrack. While a bit loud, some of the imagery was definitely not G rated, so if you are bringing younger children, one should be aware of it. Takeout is also available as is some groceries. Food is good. Decor is trendy.

I am a vendor that rented a table and sold baked goods at Pearl's Market in Eagle, PA…read more. On July 20, 2009, I drove to Pearl's to refill my stock. Imagine my suprise when I found out that my table was taken off the selling floor and that all my stock was removed and put in boxes two weeks prior. I never got a phone call, email...nothing. The owner just decided that I was not restocking my table often enough and that was that. Their business opened in the beginning of October, 2008. Andy, one of the owners, told me, "We are going to be the next Kimberton Whole Foods." Initially, before I started renting a table at Pearl's they used to buy from me wholesale. They loaded their store up with products similar to what you would find at Kimberton Whole Foods (all except the apothocary). My baked goods were sold in the front room. That fall I was quite successful. I restocked my table weekly.. In the spring Pearl's reconfigured their business model. They put all the 'whole foods items on sale". They told me their front room was going to be gluten free. They asked me if I wanted to rent a space in one of the back rooms to display and sell my wares. They said that they would collect the money and send me a check. After the fact I was told that my sales would be minus an additional suprise fee for charge cards. That was not in the intial pitch for table renting. In the beginning, after the reorganization, I was told by Noel, the vendor manager, that she would work with me and help me, calling me when the stock was low, etc. The last day I was there I reminded her of her promise and said, "Noel, why didn't you call me if you needed me to come in and restock?" She said, "I can't babysit the vendors." I would call that renting to me under false pretenses wouldn't you? When January came around there were so few sales that I pulled my stock. Pearl's then did their reconfiguring. They had a grand reopening in the spring of '09. At first sales were brisk but then became few and far between - especially after the owner started bringing in baked goods from the Amish, which I was told he would NOT do. I went over there regularly only to see that very little if anything was needed. Once I realzed sales were slow I slowed down my visits. I was never told once time that the owner had a problem with this. When I asked Noel why I was never notified, even though when I signed on I was told I would get phone calls and advice, Noel just said, "Once Andy is through with you he is through." She told me that she asked Andy if she should call me and he said, "No, I want to see how long it takes her to show up." Is that any way to run a business? I told Noel that I felt this was very unprofessional and immature and left. What was particularly disturbing was that my unsold stock sat there for two weeks. We have a very fast turn around for cookies at our markets. I know I could have sold some of them while they were still fresh had I been informed that Pearl's had taken them off their selling floor. This was a very sad end to what I thought was a good relationship. I told Noel that people do not just wake up in the morning and say they want a divorce. There are usually tell tale signs that a relationship is having problems. I was clueless that there was a problem. The store was never busy when I was there so I am not exactly sure how the vendors make money. I wasn't. Ater I paid for my rental space, factored in all the stale product that I was constantly taking off my table, and took into account ingredient costs, time, & all my overhead I really hadn't much if anything since the reorganization. Truth be told, we we were getting ready to get out of there at the end of July anyway.. My daughter and I have sent at least a 100 potential customers and vendors to that store. I feel very bad that I have directed potential vendors to this place for fear that they will be mistreated the way I was. I also feel bad that the customers that I developed at Pearl's will no longer be able to find our products there. To all of you, I apologize. I didn't know who I was dealing with. These are not people you want to do business with. Before I walked away from Pearl's for the last time I told Noel that I would be sure to tell everyone about the unprofessional manner in which I was treated. I have never ended a business relationship like this before. Noel said this to me, "I hope we can still be friends, Laurie (my name is LORI, NOT LAURIE)" Noel, get real, you failed me and with no remorse! Anyone considering buying or selling items at Pearl's Market or entering into any type of business relationship with them may want to think twice.. My advice: Stay away, stay far, far away from all Pearl's Markets. Why invite trouble into your life?

This is where I go to get supplies for cocktail receptions at my house, on the occasions we want to have a food and wine afternoon, or when I'm preparing for the holidays. In fact, it can be very easy to get carried away and drop $100 without too much effort. But you're generally paying for items that you'd have to drive a couple of towns over to get --- assuming those places offered the same items or something similar. This market, in combination with the liquor store in the same complex, can help you pull together a fun night in pretty short order. One of my favorite places.

    * * * CASH ONLY * * *…read more Why Not Farm is an organic farm and store in Glenmoore. They offer a range of products, from individual cuts of beef (Filets, Delmonicos, Sirloins, NY Strips, Brisket, Roasts, Burgers, Patties, Franks, etc.), to quarter cows, or more if you make a custom order. The store is a little room off the side of the farmer's home garage. There is a big sign at the street, leading you up a long dirt-gravel driveway. Signs will point you to the door for the store, and on the window is a note with the owner, Mary's, phone number, to call if you need assistance. So note that that's the thing, there is no human in the store for assistance. It's done on the honor system, and Mary is available by phone if you need her, but it's pretty much all self-serve. You write down in a notebook, your name, and list of groceries with your own tally, then drop the cash or a check in the cashbox. There is a jar beside the cashbox with cash and coins to make change for yourself if needed. We didn't believe/trust it all until another customer came in after us and explained it. In the little store room are a few cases of frozen beef, chicken, veal, sausage, and dog food. Refrigerated cases hold cheese, eggs, etc. Nearby shelves and a table hold dry goods like honey, jams, soaps, jerky, etc. Everything is either organic, hormone/antibiotic-free, natural, grass-fed, free-range, or a combo thereof. Each item is clearly marked with a price. Many items were on sale when we were there, so you make your own deduction when you tally your payment. Their price list of cost per pound is on their website, but again, each cut is priced individually, so you don't need to do that math too. Their hours are extremely convenient, 7 days a week from 8am-8pm! We normally stock up on organic meats at Necessity Farm in Telford (Bucks County), but there are a lot of great reviews (on Yelp and elsewhere) for this place, just raving about the steaks, so we wanted to give them a try. The other customer who made her purchase when we did recommended the chip steak for cheesesteaks. We got that and a few strip steaks. Our first try on the strip steaks was okay. They were built up so much by all the high ratings, that we expected a lot. The smell was great, the look was there, and there was a very clean flavor, with adequate meaty savoriness. The texture was just not there; it was too tough. It is recommended that grass-fed beef be cooked medium-rare, which my husband aimed for, but our BBQ grill is on the fritz, so I think they were a little more on the medium side. That said, they weren't well done by any means, and should have been more tender. The chip steak made into cheesesteaks was amazing, probably the best we've ever made on our own, and, dare I say, better than my last Sonny's steak downtown (which was not their proudest moment). Regardless, the chip steak was REALLY good! I would definitely stop again for that. The ground beef is also supposed to be a hot item, signs advertised all the local restaurants where it is served, and the co-customer we spoke to said she'd originally started shopping there because of the burger. It is $8/lb though, so a bit pricey. It is worth a try, and I will happily stop in again to try some other items the next time I am in the area.

I'm so disappointed. I've been using Giant Direct Delivery for 4 years and have been very pleased…read morewith food quality, order accuracy and delivery service until now. The Giant Direct employed delivery people were always very polite, came with carts, and food was sorted into bins by pantry, refrigerated and frozen. Things were still cold/frozen when I received them at my apartment door, and carefully packed. My last 4 orders were delivered by third party (Instacart and Door Dash). What a disaster. The name with phone number they provide for communication was usually inactive. They no longer deliver them to my door, they're left in the lobby or entryway. There are way more brown shopping bags than necessary because most have only 2 or 3 items in them. They usually just pull them out of their cars, with no proper temp control or carts. The text message I received this week was "I'm here. I don't have a cart. Bring one". I asked them to confirm which entrance they were at and they sent me a picture of all the bags on the lobby floor, then they left. I've called Giant corporate, and while the support people on the phone are polite, they don't do anything to resolve the root issue. They offer a Giant GC. I told them to keep it, I'm done with Giant because I still believe customer service is critical. I happen to be on a cane sporadically because I have knee and hamstring issues. Long walks can be difficult and even impossible at times. Delivery to my apartment door is important to me. Leaving these grocery deliveries in my lobby is like leaving them a block away, and then I have to load my cart and walk it back myself. Why exactly should I tip them? I don't know why Giant changed the service but I wish they hadn't. Good luck to future Giant delivery service customers!
