This is a great store in the area. The maps could be misleading watch for that. The parking lot is…read morehuge. The store is well lit and neatly organized. There are carts available to grab at entrance. The collection iin this store is outstanding than nearest Aldi. The vegetables, fruits, dairy, bread choices. Everything in the store is great and somehow looks fresh. I needed assistance and the staff was friendly to assit. The prices are reasonable. Only suggestion is the checkout counters could get lengthy at times.

Live from your friendly neighborhood Stage 5 Grocery Stalker: The new Lidl in Exton is open, and…read moreit's beautiful! Like a weirdo, I've been driving by the storefront every time I've been in Exton recently to check if it was open yet. I wish I could blame this excitement on being cooped up due to COVID, but in reality guys...I just love new grocery stores. Opening details have been suspiciously limited online so I've had to rely on good ol' fashioned drive-by's. Shoutout to my local plant swap group where I finally learned that - yes! - they're open at last. The store itself is very big for its category - I believe larger than the other Lidl's in the area and definitely bigger than the nearby Exton Aldi. It's super bright and welcoming. Even full of many other excited opening-week shoppers tonight, there was room to maneuver around and find what I was looking for. One thing I love about Lidl is their fresh bakery. In non-COVID times everything is available by the piece: one pretzel roll, one croissant, etc. Right now for disease prevention everything is bundled into packages so you can't pick & mix as easily, but the prices are great so even buying multiple of one product is still a good deal. My usual go-to is either the pretzels or pretzel buns, but this time I picked up some tasty quark donut holes which were soft and fresh. I didn't really come in with a list today, so more just wondered around the aisles and got a lay of the land. For some reason I was amused by the mini door freezers above the usual fish/meat sliding freezers. They make the store look more...organized? Futuristic? I don't know, but they're fun. Also fun: if you're used to other Lidl stores or shopping at Aldi, this won't be a surprise to you, but they have a decent rotating stock of home goods and clothing in the middle of the store as well. If you are usually more of a Giant/Acme kinda gal, you may be surprised to find small kitchen appliances, women's leggings, and men's boat shoes next to your salmon. It's always fun to see what random things pop up that you usually don't need but will be tempted by anyway. All employees were super friendly and welcoming, and everyone was wearing a mask. Of course the store is brand new but still worth mentioning that it looked sparkling clean. No quarters required for carts, and they have the smaller "half carts" which I appreciate because they're much easier to maneuver around the store. Overall a great first impression from this new Lidl and I'm definitely looking forward to shopping here more!

I spent about $8,000 a year on food shopping for my family. I think any company that gets that…read moremuch of families hard earned money should put a little effort into not treating their customers like crap. I have been holding out on switching over to Wegman's but my recent experiences at this store are driving me to make the move and my money. I will say unless the manager "Sue" is working you can almost bet on an extremely frustrating experience. Sue always smiles and says hello, will open lanes if it's busy, helps bag if needed. I wish I knew her schedule it would make it a much nicer shopping experience. The last time I was there the cashier was LOUDLY audibly complaining to the shift manager during my checkout about how she didn't want to work. She was rude and unhelpful. The lunchmeat workers were sighing disdainfully and grumbling everytime a new ticket came in. Look, I don't want to be here either but I don't go around ramming my cart into stuff out of annoyance. The veiled hostility to the customers is getting worse and worse... The produce is good, the meat guys do a good job, the dairy is never expired but good luck not feeling like your a pain in the @ss for daring to go grocery shopping.

I'm so disappointed. I've been using Giant Direct Delivery for 4 years and have been very pleased…read morewith food quality, order accuracy and delivery service until now. The Giant Direct employed delivery people were always very polite, came with carts, and food was sorted into bins by pantry, refrigerated and frozen. Things were still cold/frozen when I received them at my apartment door, and carefully packed. My last 4 orders were delivered by third party (Instacart and Door Dash). What a disaster. The name with phone number they provide for communication was usually inactive. They no longer deliver them to my door, they're left in the lobby or entryway. There are way more brown shopping bags than necessary because most have only 2 or 3 items in them. They usually just pull them out of their cars, with no proper temp control or carts. The text message I received this week was "I'm here. I don't have a cart. Bring one". I asked them to confirm which entrance they were at and they sent me a picture of all the bags on the lobby floor, then they left. I've called Giant corporate, and while the support people on the phone are polite, they don't do anything to resolve the root issue. They offer a Giant GC. I told them to keep it, I'm done with Giant because I still believe customer service is critical. I happen to be on a cane sporadically because I have knee and hamstring issues. Long walks can be difficult and even impossible at times. Delivery to my apartment door is important to me. Leaving these grocery deliveries in my lobby is like leaving them a block away, and then I have to load my cart and walk it back myself. Why exactly should I tip them? I don't know why Giant changed the service but I wish they hadn't. Good luck to future Giant delivery service customers!

Prescriptions are always ready when they say they notify me and they answer any questions I have without ever treating me like I'm bothering them. The pharmacy is the only reason I come to this location. For purchases I'll make the longer drive and go to Kennett Square. The Exton location usually has one or two lanes open AT MOST even when the store is busy, has zero self-checkout lanes and it's just a nightmare to just pick something up and get in an out without it feeling like teeth gnashing. Pharmacy = YES!!! Normal shopping = No, it's worth it to spend the gas and drive to a different location.

But if are looking for Customer Service instead of Attitude, then head somewhere else with the issues coming directly from the Phamacy Manager with her factory mentality. I considered moving my perscriptions over to the Exton Walmart Pharmacy and then came accross the Pharmacy Manager, Tessa Nguyen, and the idea of transfer died immediately. If you hoped that Pharmacy Manager did NOT share the same level of customer service as is expected at a low cost retailer like Walmat, sorry but no such luck. From speaking to her, it was clear that any recognition short-comings in customer service and "how can I help attitude" at this Pharmacy are not going to come from her example but instead she would rather point out that the real issue is the Customer having excessive expectations that they actually cared about your health.
