I ordered cheese at the deli and asked for thin cut. Today I saw the cheese was cut thick, even asking more than once for it to be cut thinner than what the employee showed me. This happens 9 out of 10 times in this deli, consistent bad customer service and long wait time for that service btw. Your employees don't care too much about the customers as I notice each time they get my order wrong. Perhaps your employees don't like their jobs and maybe shouldn't work there anymore. It's a consistent problem only at Thorndale, and you guys never seem to make improvements at that location. I won't be shopping at your Thorndale location again. read more

Came in today to get some roast beef, met with a deli worker named Donny. As a young college student, ordering from the deli is a little new to me. Donny was great help and walked me through each portion sizes and how many sandwiches I should be able to make with the meat. Awesome customer service and hope to see him again next time I'm over at the deli section! Deserves a raise! read more

It's a bit better than an ordinary grocery store because it has good fresh produce and an unusually large and well-stocked organic section. I don't buy my meat or fish there, but I do buy chicken and that's fine. The deli department is awful. read more

This is an OK Giant store. Ample parking, a small coffee shop (which unfortunately seems to be closed in the evenings) and a couple aisles of organic/ gourmet food along with a decent salad bar. It's no Whole Foods, I found the bakery selection to be pretty lacking, and the staff here seems quite young (college students?) and occasionally a bit lost at sea, at other times quite good. However, it was basically an all right place to get groceries. Prices are a little high but this is a pricey area. This Giant is close to where I stay so I will likely visit it again, BUT I will no longer try to drive to/ from it down Rt 322, even though that looks like the most direct way, because the traffic congestion is terrible and even worse at rush hours or when the college has any sort of event going on. Last time there was a running event going on at 6 pm on a Friday causing many streets to be blocked off and I was afraid my ice cream would melt while I was bumper to bumper crawling the few blocks. I will definitely look at taking an alternate route next time as the traffic made getting to/ from that store just ridiculous - it would have been easier to drive an extra three miles out of the town center to go to the Dilworthtown Giant. Edited to add, I have since found that it is much easier to get to this store via W. Ashbridge or W. Marshall streets since both of those streets are two-way and you will not run into the one-way streets, street blockages and general congestion that you are likely to hit driving down Rt. 322. read more

Today I went shopping at Giant and it was so nice! The store is very clean and the produce was all fresh. All the employees were very helpful and I stopped by their new Starbucks for tea! The coffee shop employee Nick was so great! He was quick, friendly, and went the extra mile when I wanted honey in my tea and opened all the little packages because he said it would combine better if the honey steeped with the tea bag! Love this store. I've been going here every week for years. Not joking but I probably spend about 15 grand there every year. I have to say that all the employees are super, except for one. Every time I go to the deli counter there is this one lady behind the counter who always yells at me for using the kiosk. I mean this happens EVERY time she is there. She yells at me that she is so backed up and tells me not to use it. Even if I say it is ok, ill be shopping over the next hour she doesn't want to hear it. She did this today as I was shopping at about 5:00 pm. I was so fed up with her and didn't want to argue back, I told her to not worry about it and just continued with my shopping and skipped the deli. When anyone else is working the counter I never have a problem, but Ive had quite a few run ins with her, I just dont get it. I dont want to come across like a mean person and go to the courtesy counter but I just can't beleive im the only person she snaps at constantly??? Whats the point of the kiosk if im being told not to use it, isn't that part of her job? Like I said a really love shopping here but I wish management would pay attention to who's working in the deli coumter. If she is that overwhelmed that she is yelling at customers and taking her frustration out on us, if they need to look at her if she has a problem herself,, or if nothing else, their staffing schedule. From now on ill get my deli orders from somewhere else, I don't need to be berated my her in front of other people in the store. read more

I loved coming here until they discontinued selling the Just brand. I like having a good vegan option especially when a lot of people in the area are vegan as well. Just disappointed to see it go. I will be shopping else where. read more

This is an ok store but everyone working here looks like they hate their jobs. It would be nice if checkers were trained to at least say "hello" to customers. Take some lessons in customer service and manners from Wegman's in Downingtown. I feel welcome there. read more

I generally like this Giant store a lot, but today I had a bad experience that I must inform people about. Today at the checkout with Sara, our ground turkey meat-marked as $5 rang up as $7. Items being rung up at the incorrect price has happened multiple times in the last month, so I was carefully watching the price checks. Sara had to get the manager to fix it. Well, this "manager" Siriporn came over and basically told us that it must be $7 because thats how it rang up. We told her that we were positive it cost $5 because i distinctly remember looking at the sale price sign. Siriporn walked away to check and came back with a big sign that said chicken sausage cost $7... total wrong item and I knew this was not the sign I saw so I asked if she could walk back with me so I could show her. On the walk back Siriporn rudely told me that it doesnt matter if the sign is right in front of the item, they can put signs wherever there is space. She went on and on with this rude attitude on the walk back about signage. I was right about the price- the correct sign I remembered was directly in front of the turkey. I showed Siriporn and she argued with me for a few minutes and kept picking up all different signs asking me if I got the ounces and same brand name as marked on the sale price- which I told her I did multiple times. She was very rude and never apologized for her attitude/being wrong/ our time. We went back to the register where it took her 5 minutes, and 3 tries to ring the correct price in. Could not believe not only how long the process took to ring me the right price, but how incredibly rude this "manager" was in trying to argue with me after I showed her that I was right. This has got to be the worst grocery store. I have been going there for several years and have always had bad experiences. They seldom restock a shelf of a product when it's empty. Products that I use have been discontinued which happens constantly, very difficult to find someone to ask a question. What`s with all the generic products...they're terrible, weak and watered down. I only go there as it is at the end of my street. Why did it take more than 4 months to re-organized their store? Can't wait for the very good competitor's opening next year, down the street. I gave it 2 stars only because their beef brisket is quite good. read more
