We have been ordering off Amazon as these are Japanese toys, but imagine my surprise when I found a local shop that carries them in stock. Extremely disappointed with my experience. I went shopping for my three daughters and was shocked…read moreby how rude the employee was. Instead of being welcoming and helpful, he essentially told me that I already had enough items and didn't need to buy more. I love supporting small businesses and always try to shop locally, but customer service matters. Unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression. There are plenty of other toy stores in the area that appreciate their customers, and that's where I'll be taking my business in the future. Very disappointing experience! If I could give no stars I would!!!!

Terrible customer service. My family and I have been shopping at this store to give my twin…read moredaughters the "toy store experience" and support a small business rather than ordering toys online( which i almost always cheaper). I bought two baby doll strollers for them under 3 weeks ago ($79.99 and $59.99). My daughters are 2.5 and play with them in the house with light baby dolls. They put some plastic toy food in the bottom basket but nothing heavy. One of the strollers broke already, seems ripped. I brought it back to show the owner and he was not nice at all. He asked me how long I expect toys to last and my reply was that for a high quality stroller, more than 3 weeks. He continued to tell me how his grandson flew a toy plane into a wall and after a week and he had to buy a new one for him. He tried offering me a 20$ cheap stroller that is on Amazon for even less. In the future I will buy online where you receive better exchange/ return policy's. Photos so you can tell the stroller is lightly used and brand new. Hope no one else has to have an experience like this one.

I have found the girl who works there to be sweet and helpful for suggestions of products they sell being age appropriate. I also like the fact that they do wrap the items in a choice of wrapping papers and ribbons as well as give gift receipts. This makes it so much easier in a bag and ready to go. Ive found the retail cost compatible to the few other similar places that I have visited. Tip: Dont bother to call. They Never answer the phone, should I have a question better to just go in person, as Idid today only to find that they didn't have the item that I was looking for. They do not open until 11 AM. Ok so toys and what not are not a must have at 9 am - most times anyway. I do not recall them having much if any card selections. True there are many places around to buy cards. Again a 1 stop shop to grab a birthday card at the front counter of the store is helpful though perhaps not business cost efficient. Easy corner location, angle parking access and well lite, its my first choice of places to go for gifts. Tip: check on line for things that you might be looking for and then, shop in store for things directly available.

Overall, I enjoyed my time, the service was great, and the location had everything I was looking for. I recommend !

In trying to give them a fun gift, I purchased 3 Gift Cards for each child. However we went to an amusement park instead. We never had time to go to Build-A-Bear. There lies the problem, I requested to get a refund and I was told there are no refunds. Who does not give a refund for these gift cards? Why Not? Never ever will I ever step inside a Build-A-Bear again. I will never purchase anything from them either. Yet, I was told I could return a Bear after purchased. That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. This has been a terrible experience. Do Not Purchase Anything from Build-A-Bear!!! Dissatisfied customer!!
