New store in Auburndale, specializing in Japanese imported action figures, statues, maquettes and kits for collectors. It's unusual to find this type of store away from downtown Flushing in a residential area and they've only been open for a couple of months. Believe me when I say that this type of hobby is not easy on the wallet, but their prices are on par with what I've seen on-line. Lunar carries many figures from popular anime subjects from manufacturers such as Kotobukiya, Figma and Bandai. If you're a Gundam fan, they have a pretty full line of kits and also stock the line of Mr. Color paints and tools to assemble and finish your models. They also have the Star Wars line from Bandai, which is one of my favorites. I'm also a fan of old school anime, so I had my eye on some Space Battleship Yamato kits, as well. Great and helpful staff, they talked me out of buying something expensive because I said I was just getting into gunpla. The people are super passionate about bringing you great products at an affordable price! They have a second shop in College point that has a lot of stuff too! So if they don't have something you want make sure you ask if the other store has it! Also I was buying some Bandai 66 Megaman mystery boxes and an employee offered to buy the ones I got a double of to save me some money so I didn't mind that! Their prices are comparable to online, some things are cheaper and some are more expensive so it evens out, also you get to see the item you're purchasing to that's always a plus in my book! Shipped us an S H Monsterarts Mecha-Godzilla ($140) 7 inch figure. Four separate pieces were broken and they simply pawned me off on their distributor, who told me they were no longer producing that item and nothing he could do. It was received last Monday, I've emailed both and given them until Monday coming to correct or i will report to Amazon the NYC BBB and cancel payment. read more

Came in looking for an upgrade on my nippers and a new gunpla kit. Forgot to ask for the name, but the lovely lady up front was able to give me some recommendations. Having built 3 high grades and a real grade before ever stepping into a legitimate gundam shop, I left with a Red Astray Inversion, a pair of entry nippers, and satisfaction of the on the spot service given. I first discovered the store back when the owner had a small kiosk at the Queens Center Mall and was happy when I found out he had opened a physical store. I have been going here since they opened this location and have always had a good experience. The employees are all friendly and the prices are pretty on par with what you can find elsewhere on-line. I live about a half hour away from the store so it's great to be able to just go in to browse or pick up online orders there. The store is small but packs a lot in the space. If you are big on Nendoroids or Gundam they have a fantastic selection and they are my go-to place for almost all my Super Sonico figures. Also they are very good with their e-mail inquiries, which is always apprceiated. If you are looking for a new place to get your favorite imported figures and statues you should definitely check them out. read more

I would give a 3-stars for their huge gundam selections, given that their products are authentic. However, and I don't know if it's just me, but I honestly don't like how all their products are "unpriced". When I made my purchase, the price was higher than what the staff initially told me which makes me feel like they can "name the price" simply just because. I also don't like how the staff was aggressively "hotselling" other products during my visit (and it was my first visit here), it would have been a better experience if I wasn't being pressured and left alone. I might pay another visit just to be fair but certainly not one of my favorite toy shops as of now. read more

Purchased Caster figma from Lunar, sadly I got defective one, the head was not stable kind of loose. I was frustrated because I wasn't sure if they would exchange or refund me since I had bad experience with other store who wasn't care about what they sold, long as they got my money. Then I returned to store and explained my situation, the lady there was really friendly and helpful, she wasn't try to find excuse or seek any possibility to make it as my fault, she fully refunded me since they sold out the figure. I was so happy with their customer service and will return for sure! read more

The store is small but well organized. They have tons of authentic items imported from Japan. Reasonable price and friendly staffs.

Ordered a Super Sonico figure. Upon checking the status of it there was nothing. Cancelled account. They then said it was there but that since I'd cancelled my account there was no way to restore. What a bunch of nonsense. They are impossible to reach, always blame the customer, and pre-orders 'magically' disappear from their site. Then, when they don't like you confronting them about their practices they block your IP address. read more
