If you have an appreciation for building cool figurines, collecting, and admiring different models you build or what is shown in displays- Gundam Planet is where it happens. Went here last night to the Hackensack location. Appears to be attached to a warehouse, however filled with a variety of Gundam plastic model kits, tools, from a beginners level, ones who collect, or others who continue it as a hobby. There is a ground floor with blinds boxes of some anime favorites and video games, Gundam model kits towards the back area from many familiar shows to build. Upstairs there is a small table where individuals can build Gundam model kits, overlooking a giant projector on the wall at a show, and explore more sections with figurines, Gundam model kits and other fun items displayed. I loved staring at the display cases. A few Gundam models inside the displays look so intricate and not sold in the stores because items were limited in quantity when it came to collaborations. It was cool to look at, gives you nostalgia for many who may remember the show or recognize some character favorites in the cases. Great store for yourself or for gifts for others who appreciate Gundam models. Helpful staff, all payment accepted. There are no price tags shown on the boxes, you'll find out your total purchase when you are ready to pay. Parking lot is small, more chance to find parking in the neighborhood. The area looks small from the outside, however plenty to love and look at on the inside when you come to Gundam Planet. Until next time!

Gundam Planet is a huge store with a ton of high quality Japanese imports. The first floor was mostly model kits, and the second floor was figurines/Action Figures. They were all very good prices, close to their original prices. I was having trouble finding some items but their employee helped me find it and we were able to get everything we wanted.

Drove two hours from philly as a date with my girlfriend and I got greeted by unwelcoming staff members. I expressed how much I love Gundam and was excited on how the cool the store was but the staff wasn't helpful at all. They will walk back of house to put the kits away but will not show you where the kits are with out being weird. Upstairs have prices on the toys. But the gundam kits doesn't. They don't have the price label on the gundam kits and you have to bring it up to the cash register to check the price which the staff gives the customer an attitude every time you check the price. I spent $250 here to support toys and (bought two kits) and only got one cool zeku sticker. I ask may I have another one and they was trying to charge me for it saying that the sticker is only with every purchase with a gundam kit. It made me wanted to return my kits and repurchase them for the free stickers. Like I'm Asian American and been to japan with the amazing customer service and these people making a profit selling Japanese products It would be great getting the same amazing customer service.

Awesome place for any Gundam fans!! It's tucked away nicely in the side of a building/warehouse with a tiny parking lot but, that's not even an issue when you come across such a rare and amazing establishment! Rows and rows of gundam supplies are quite well kept in this store. People behind the counter seem quite knowledgeable and helpful too. For those fans that are looking for something more than the standard box, you can do custom orders here as well. Prices start under $10 and can get as high into $100's depending on rarity, size, etc. Definetly will be returning back soon.

No idea what all this stuff is about but I'm gonna quote the bf when he walked in, "I'm so excited I could squeal." Lol I will admit it was cool to see all the figurines & stuff. And they have a very large selection of instant ramen noodles too. According to the bf, this is the only place outside of Japan to find all this.

I'm so glad I found a place like this so close to NYC. If you are a gundam fan, anime fan or just like to collect figures, this place is where you need to go. Gundam Planet is about a 32 minute bus ride (from Port Authority Bus Terminal) or a 15 minute ride from Manhattan to the store. It's worth the ride. Now I made it a point to mention this because I know how everyone loves the "I need it right now" type of purchases. Trust me...the ride there and back is worth it. When you get there, you notice that it "looks" like an entrance to a garage. Please DO NOT let that fool you. Once you walk in, you notice that it has a large warehouse type set up. About 5-6 rows (maybe more) filled with gundam model kits and accessories. They have PG, MG, RG, HG AND MEGA SIZED!!! Be sure to take a look at the 10% off section as well. It may have only a few items but it's worth looking at. The 10% off is because a box for the gundam (s) was damaged. All of the contents for each box are still there. No damage to the actual kit. So don't worry about that. Now that I've lured you in with Gundams, let me open you up to the other stuff: 1. Figma figures out the sphincter! 2. SH Figuarts-O-plenty 3. Statues, busts, revoltech... 4. Other building kits based off of various anime 5. Star Wars Bandai kits. 6. Kit building supplies: paints, glue, led lights I really wish I could go into everything that's there by genre and title but I'd be here for a while. The staff is helpful with picking kits, figures and just talking about the overall series that each item is associated to. OH...and there's a 95% chance that there's someone sitting up front building a kit. So if you have any questions about building, painting, or any other tips, ask. There are a lot of displays of prebuilt kits throughout the store (I'll post some picture). So if you are looking for model kits or figures or maybe just a poster, please check this place out. I'm sure I'll add more at another time or whatever but I think I've gushed enough.

If you live in the NY tristate area, this is probably the BEST place to get Gundam models! They also carry Japanese toys but Gundam models are their thing. Hence the name. The store is located in an unassuming building but once you find it, you'll be in heaven. The store is laid out like a warehouse but they also have completed, built models on display. They staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. It's nice to see stores staff themselves with employees that know what they are selling, as this doesn't always happen. All in all this place the best for Gundam models and the price of the toll to leave New Jersey or round trip bus ticket is definitely worth the price, which is the same as if you ordered models online.

This is the go-to spot if you're looking to start building Gunpla. They have a mass variety of kits to chose from, along with other foreign goodies if you're also interested in picking something else up while you're there. The staff is actually pretty nice and knowledgeable about kits if you have any questions. I'm glad this is close to where I live -- I will be returning! :-)

Very clean inside and organized. Tables are setup for games and there's a spot for snacks & drinks for players. Appears that they're still putting some final touches inside but it's open for business and the workers were friendly. Asked if I had any questions but I just took a walk around to see what they offered now. For sale were all sorts of booster packs, collections, play mats, etc. Even storage sleeves & boxes. I saw some loose Magic cards as well. The only thing in the shop that wasn't card-based was the wall of Funko Pop figures. Several shelves of regulars and exclusives. If you're into that and/or card games then this is the place for you!

The event wasn't for another two hours, and I was clearly just checking out the store for the first time. Casually stopped in for the first time because I was in the area. I want to premise this by saying…read morethat the owner's FATHER was super cool and being kind to everyone there. The owner, however, is a young pompous, rude & arrogant kid. Overall, not a good person. There were some "streamers" in the store recording content because, of course. The owner didn't pay attention to anyone else in the store whatsoever the whole time... he became part of the stream team, gloating about his courtside Knicks tickets, pathetically glazing the streamers like a ridiculous fanboy, and showing off for the camera just to get tagged. I was in there for about 2 hours flipping through bins listening to the nonsense. Unfortunately, his father had to go home to feed his wife, as he put it. Again, he was GREAT (funny, kind, charismatic & very welcoming... everything a store owner should be). Once the streamers finally left, the whole vibe of the shop changed. I guess the owner didn't like my face or something & made it a point to make me feel as unwelcome as possible. Kept asking me in a weird tone over and over about 7 times, "are you good, man?" I had to keep telling him yea, still just putting a stack together over here. It was annoying af and he knew it... felt like he was rushing me out/didn't want me there because I wasn't looking at the super expensive, EXTREMELY overpriced stuff. Then, he had everything overpriced on his "bargain bin" stickers too. Since it was all bargain bin stuff collecting dust behind the counter, I tried to reason with him and showed him all the comps (which I was offering at or over the sale price of). He responded rudely and imposingly, "the price IS the price. I'm not budging one penny on the sticker, so just go buy one of those comps if you want it." This was with a $5 sticker on a $1 card that I offered him $3 for, in good faith, after showing him the last ten $0.99 sales. I decided right then & there that he was just being a d1ck & I didn't want to do business with someone like him. BUT I DID just spend 2 hours digging through stuff. So I pulled out a total of $31 worth of cards based on his non-negotiable sticker prices. I asked, "can we just do a flat $30?" His response? You guessed it, "the sticker is the sticker." ONE dollar... he wouldn't budge ONE dollar on his already overpriced cards. Rather lose a customer to make one buck. Crazy work, never seen anything like it in my life. I realized my feeling was right the whole time, I was 100% not welcome there. Afterwards, I read all the reviews about the owner's racist tendencies and it ALL made sense. I was profiled and very clearly not wanted in his shop. I also watched him fleece a kid (around 12yo) that sold him a somewhat rare Mahomes. Comps were at $300-$350 (legit sold comps) and he literally told the kid that his comps meant nothing because he wasn't using Card Ladder but a different app , then proceeded to spit out lowball comps without showing the kid ANY actual evidence of them other than his own bs claims. He just said that he "saw" them on Card Ladder going for like $200 (not true at all) and that Mahomes isn't even going to play next season , and offered the kid $160. Poor kid took it... that was less than 60% of the lowest comp, closer to 50% on the LOWEST comp. This guy is a certified douche. I will NEVER go in this shop again. Unless you are actively looking to overpay for cards while getting treated bad, I'd find another spot to shop. However, if you're a streamer or willing to spend thousands, go on in... he's super nice & accommodating in that case. Will glaze you the whole time and make you feel real special so you keep spending.

Not sure why there are a few really bad reviews of this card store, always friendly to me when I go…read morein, huge selection of modern unopened cards as well as singles. The owner always helpful and sometimes I have dealt with his dad who covers when he is not there, and the father was nice. Only drawback is there are no vintage cards, you are not going to find anything below the year 2000 as far as I know. Also like another review said, no hockey or WNBA. As for prices I am not really sure as I didn't compare but I do know a brick and mortar store has overhead to pay for rent, electricity and employee pay, if you want cheapest possible, buy online, if you want to see your product and pickup instantly while still supporting a local business go there.
