Gary has gone the extra mile to resolve our pool leak, and it was not a simple above ground fix. Gary is professional, extremely knowledgeable, and stands by his word. If I need help in the future, I'll contact him again. If I hear of anyone who is having problems with their pool, I will certainly refer them to Gary! read more

Nice guy, but he gave a lot of reasons not to leak check the drain at the bottom of the deep end. Didn't find a leak so I am left with an inconclusive result for $300. Quite unsatisfied withe the result. read more

Gary has been amazing to work with. He was always on time and communicated clearly. I highly recommend him!

I called Gary at Leak Detectives to set up an appointment and he was very accommodating to my schedule. He called the day before to remind me he was coming. He came to my house at about 1 pm. He was very professional and was very methodical in his approach to find the leak quickly and efficiently. He did not waste any time and was in and out in the time period he stated. He offerd to come back in the next 30 days if I was not satisfied. I was so satisfied that the next time I visited Leslie Pool for suppliesI told them that they should ONLY recommend leak detectives if any should ask. Sincerely, Walt - Loomis, CA read more

We live in Turlock, CA and Gary traveled all the way from Rocklin to take a look at our pool. He was professional and courteous. Most importantly, he located our leak and fixed it. We had another company come out before Gary. They did NOT locate the leak (which turned out to be the size of a dime). Clearly, they did not even try to locate it. We have dealt with many individuals and companies in the home repair field. We have been disappointed many times by their failure to show and failure to complete the work. Gary was a breath of fresh air: on time, took care of the problem, and a kind, friendly attitude. We HIGHLY recommend Leak Detectives. read more

I had a very big leak in my pool. I called Gary who promptly returned my call, and had me on his schedule at MY earliest convenience. Gary was right on time and diagnosed the problem almost immediately!! He then fixed the leak and guaranteed his work. I couldn't ask for better service . Thank you Gary. read more

We knew we had a leak somewhere, but the source was not obvious, since it was a small amount, but definitely an issue. Gary came out the same day I called, did an assessment, was very professional and went through all of the possibilities. He did not feel it was a major leak, and he was right! It ended up being a leak from tubing we thought was closed off, that had been leaking for quite a while. He is very honest.. i had to insist on him charging me something for his service call. Will definitely call him again if needed! read more

I was very worried I might have a leak in my pool as I need to add water at what I thought were too frequent intervals. Seeking help, I found The Leak Detective on the internet and was especially impressed with the video Gary did in which he explained clearly and fully how he goes about finding a leak. He came out as promised and did a thorough and professional job, just as in the video, explaining what he was finding along the way. In the end he did not find a leak! Just to be sure, he showed me how to do a "bucket test," which I did. The result of that supported his judgment that there was no leak. We concluded that my solar heating system probably explains some of the loss of water. He also reassured me that my pool was in good shape and the equipment working well. I am very much relieved and I recommend him without reservation! Sacramento read more

All I can say is wow! I have had a leak in the pool for over a month now, and had a competitor come out and "fix" the leak. The next morning the pool was down another 2 inches and that company refused to come back out or refund the money. That is when I did some research and called Gary. Gary was prompt in returning my call, and after speaking with him, I could tell he was an honest man. Today he came out and found the problem and fixed it immediately, explaining what was wrong, what he was doing, and warrantied his work. Gary is one of the last good ones left. I will always recommend him! Thank you Gary! read more

We recently bought our house and shortly after suspected our pool had a leak. I contacted Leak Detectives and left a message and as stated Gary returned my call within a few minutes. He was able to set up an appt for the following week (we had to work around the rain schedule). He came out and was able to find the leak within a few hours. He explained everything he was doing as well as alerted us to a huge safety issue that had been overlooked by our pool inspection company. That was very important to us seeing as we have a baby. Gary returned to fix the leak the following week (again working around the rain schedule). He called both times to confirm and let us know he was on his way. His customer service is great. I would highly recommend Leak Detectives and would use them again if another need arises. read more

Gary was very helpful in solving a problem with my pool. I called him last minute and asked him to help me under a very short time constraint. Our house was closing escrow, and I wanted everything in good working order for the new owners. Gary was very professional and responsive! He is very thorough and explains all procedures clearly. Thank you for all of your help Gary! read more

Couldn't have asked for a more through and efficient job. Gary was a pleasure to do business with. Would recommend to anyone.

I called Gary last week and set up an appointment for today. I have an older pool (aprox 50 yrs old). I have used Gary's services in the past and he did an awesome job so of course I called him again. I met Gary at the house and he quickly found a leak near my pool skimmer basket. Despite the 50 degree water, he sealed it up in no time at all. He did some other diagnostics while he was here and we agreed to set up a future appointment for an additional repair. Gary is an honest man that is very good at what he does. He is the type of repair man that I wish I would get every time I call a repair man or contractor. If you are looking for a pool or spa repair, please call Gary. You wont be disappointed. read more

I called Leak Detective first thing this morning and as stated on Gary's voicemail he returned my phone call within 10 minutes. He then told me that he might he able to check my pool this afternoon and would call me back between 2 and 3 and let me know one way or the other if he could come out today or would have to schedule for later in the week. Again as he promised he called me at 2:30 and was on his way to check my pool. I can't say enough good things about Gary and his knowledge and professional manner. He was able to detect the leak and repair within an hour! I highly recommend him and if I were to need him in the future I would call him without hesitation. Its so nice to find honest professionals and Gary is one of the good guys! Thanks Gary!!! read more

3 Stars for being a really nice guy who is very punctual and business-like. He explained everything very clearly. However...his website says he Guarantees to find your leak. I guess my definition of "guarantee" and "find your leak" is different from his. He told us 2 areas where the leak "may" be because he got a higher helium reading in these spots. If we wanted him to dig and find it the price was higher...but it would include a minor repair. I'm sure he has very technical reasons why he couldn't find the exact spot of the leak....but for $350 I sort of expected him to actually find the leak. We dug in the two spots where he said there may be leak...and so far we haven't found the leak in those areas. We aren't loosing much water yet, so we will probably wait until the leak makes it self very obvious. read more

I called Gary after reading the great reviews about him on Yelp and now I see why everyone is so happy with his service. I had received a leak detection report from another company that stated my skimmer bonding was leaking and gave me an estimate of $4,400 to fix it. That didn't seem right to me so I asked Gary for a second opinion. Gary came right out, tested my pool and told me there was absolutely nothing wrong with my skimmer. He even showed me the area the other company was talking about - some slight settling of the concrete and bonding 3 inches above the water line that had nothing at all to do with a leak! He also confirmed that the estimate was extremely high to fix the skimmer if it had been leaking. I am very grateful for his honesty and integrity. He saved me quite a bit of money and gave me peace of mind. I am thankful my pool is not leaking, but if it were, I would not hesitate to give Gary a call. read more

Gary was very helpful and was out within 24 hours of my call. Cost was very reasonable. On top of that he is just a "Good Guy" who really honestly cares. I know I'm shocked too, business who cares, such a rarity these days. read more

I was losing 1-2 inches of water per day and called several leak detection companies just before Thanksgiving weekend. Gary was the only one who called me back right away and came out the following Monday. Our pool is custom with an in floor system so not your standard cookie cutter pool. Although it took multiple visits to isolate the problem area, Gary was professional and followed through on all appointments, call backs, etc. I travel for work and Gary followed up with me over the phone to explain his process, and was patient with my questions and receptive of my input. He successfully located the leak in a broken pipe connection and repaired it. I'm very happy with the result and thankful that Gary was willing to stick through a challenging situation to find the leak. His rates are very fair and he made sure I was happy with the process and repair. I highly recommend Leak Detectives to anyone in need of a pool leak repair. read more
