I was pleased to find Leah's Nails. It's right in the heart of Amesbury, so it's convenient for those in the area. Leah is very nice and so is her staff. The prices are very reasonable. Be sure to check the sign in front, as they are usually advertising a special. You get a mini neck and shoulder massage while you are drying, which is fantastic. My manis and pedis have been long-lasting, and so have my sister's. They were amenable to our bridal party coming in, which is really appreciated. I was happy to find this salon open when I wanted a gel manicure, and did not have to wait. I am very pleased with the gel application and with an unexpected dip into paraffin. The best part was a shoulder/neck massage while the wax moisturized my hands. Leah's lost a star because the manicurist was ROUGH on my cuticles, to the point of 4 of them bleeding. She was extremely thorough, which is great, but her handling with the buffing pad was way too aggressive. She had to put some blue/green liquid on two of my nail beds to stop the bleeding before she painted. I almost gave it 3 stars but the pros outweighed the cons for me. I've been rubbing Neosporin and olive oil into my cuticles throughout the day and night to soothe the injuries and ensure they don't get worse. If you're considering coming here, make sure to ask that they be gentle with your cuticles! read more

One of the best pedicure and gel manicures I have ever had! Pedicure ends with a nice paraffin coating which is wonderful. I got a gel manicure that also ended with a paraffin treatment. They massage your neck and shoulders as well. The girls are very nice and it will be my go to place from here on in. My gel mani is now on week three and except for nail growth it is not showing any wear. Not a fancy place, parking on street was not a problem. Service far outweighs the lack of fancy spa environment and really that is all that matters!! Booking ahead is a must as they are very busy. Place is outdated and dirty. The nail clippers had rust on them and they put a bag in the tub for my pedicure. No whirlpool and the chair was broken. My gel manicure lasted about 4 days. read more

After reading some of the negative reviews I was nervous to go to Leah's, but all of those one star reviews were wrong. I was so pleased after getting my nails done there and Leah was extremely nice. The prices are reasonable and they had many great deals. I will absolutely go back there to get my nails done again. My daughter and I got a manicure today. It was the worst experience ever. Two weeks ago we had a full set put on with gel polish at a different salon. We just wanted a manicure with new gel polish today. I went in and I told her (Leah) this. She started to remove the old polish and said are you sure this is gel? I said "yes, why? I got a full set two weeks ago". She started yelling, saying I didn't tell her that I got a full set and it's not gel. I had no idea what she was talking about and told her that it was my first time getting that done. She continued yelling in her native language to other workers. I felt extremely uncomfortable. My pinky nail broke off in the salon. She did not fix it. It was a very tense and depressing atmosphere. The news was on the TV the whole time. I don't want to have bad news while I'm trying to relax. She had another woman give me a wax treatment on my hand and rub my shoulders. I wasn't charged for that but I didn't ask for that. It was nice she was trying to make up for it, however it didn't make up for this experience me and my teenage daughter had. My nail polish is falling off and it's very messy. Things that she could have done and did not to make her customer happy. she could have fixed the mistake she made and appoligzes for it . owning up to it since it is her salon. I paid $56 in all. I did not receive a full manicure. An Awful manicure is what was paid for. we left there more tents then when we arrived Oh did I mention I also left a tip for both of them. 1 read more

They took 3 hours to do 2 little girls manicures and they did the worst job I have ever seen. There were lines in my nails and powder everywhere and chunky stuff everywhere. They didn't chnage the plastic in the pedicure bucket which is disgusting. They rubbed it all off while it was drying and don't exept refunds. read more
