I made an appointment 2 weeks ahead to make sure I wouldn't be rushed through or have to sit and wait... they still rushed my nails and did a very (in my opinion bad job). none of the nails are even, or similar in shape. i asked for long coffin acrylics. they filed my skin and cut up all my beds and under the nail. and the paint job is horrible, they didn't even clean up the extra paint just let me walk out the salon with paint all over my fingers. read more

I was a regular here and ignored how they would argue with me or always look impatient as if they didn't want to do any extra work (I went for acrylic fills and would ask for a different shape sometimes) but then they stopped doing my cuticles and would leave the shapes crooked. The gel would go on so sloppily and bumpy. He rushed my last 2 appointments. The last time I went I finally had the balls to politely ask them to do my cuticles and file them correctly and they said it'd cost extra....not going back! My new go-to nail salon! I moved to the area a few months ago and am very picky with where I get my nails done. They need to come out perfect every time and Vicki's Nail Salon does just that!! The staff also speaks fluent English (which has never been a deterrent for me either way but I know a lot of people prefer this). They're so friendly and clearly care about their customers. My nails have come out absolutely PERFECT every time. I've been here 4 times now. I couldn't be happier to have such a great nail salon so close to me. The salon isn't the fanciest but it is extremely clean. Also, should note they are cash only but they do have an ATM on site. LOVE this place! Highly recommend! read more

If you make an appointment, it just doesn't matter. They cram in so many walk-in's that appointments get lost in the shuffle. This has happened to me multiple times along with all my friends. Terrible. I can't believe how rude the employees were. They ignored my requests, gave me dirty looks when I asked for alternatives to putting my entire hand in acetone - probably because it was more work. They argued with me. It was literally astonishing. I walked out 25% into. That's how fast it happened. Additionally it was filthy. Nail clippings all over the table. Gross. Unsanitary and snarky. Unbelievable! I was expecting that he'd have to put on a new set because my nails were so crooked, but he completely re-shaped them and made them gorgeous, only charging me for a fill ($20)! This is the best nail salon ever. i went to 2001 nails and had a full set put on a few days later one fell off, they turned all yellow and dirty and a few were crooked and they didn't look natural. But a friend told be about Vicki's and the man Khon was amazing he showed me everything and explained to what he was doing and my nails look so natural and i got so many compliments from friends and family. I will never go back to 2001 nails in Newburyport. I read a few reviews and was being impatient after my normal place couldn't take me and I wish I had listened! Dirty dirty dirty!!! The entire time I kept telling myself I should get up and leave. The most painful manicure I have ever gotten and they used verrry used tools on my nails I was so afraid of infection all week (and no I'm not fussy) they were rude and the guy spent the entire time he did my friends nails smack talking whoever did her nails last (only for her acrylic nail to break two days later).
