However, I had to cancel my appointment because I was actively vomiting and had a fever. I contacted the salon because I genuinely could not come in and also did not feel it would be responsible to expose the nail tech or other clients to an illness. Despite explaining the situation, I was charged the full amount of the service and was told they would not make an exception. I even would have understood being offered a credit toward a future appointment, since I fully intended to return once I was feeling better, but that was not an option either. I understand that this may be their policy, but I think potential clients should be aware that, in my experience, the policy was enforced at 100% even in the case of sudden illness with vomiting and a fever. I'm disappointed there wasn't any flexibility or consideration given to the circumstances. When I was there last time they were talking about how they don't close for snow and then they charge people if they don't show up to the spot. Also all they do is talk about their coworkers behind their back. Very unprofessional mean girls.

Due to some scheduling and traveling challenges over the past few months, getting to Epic wasn't convenient for me, so I went elsewhere for a few trims and and no one had been able to fix my bang fiasco. (See another of my reviews for a different place in regards to this ginormous mistake!) I knew that Adrienne could work her magic and correct the problem, so I made an appointment as soon as time allowed. I could no longer stand my "wings" after living with them for several months and had three failed attempts at getting them tamed. I was almost embarrassed to be going back, but I was welcomed back with a big hug and a stylist that was genuinely happy to see me again! As I expected, I walked out loving my fresh color, and of course, my bangs FINALLY were under control and I really liked my style again!! It was a huge relief. I know that sounds a little dramatic, but have you ever been super self-conscious about something? I feel like the stylists at Epic really take the time to listen to what you want, and get to know both you and your hair before they even take the scissors out.
