I went to the salon in Salem and unfortunately had a BAD experience, other than the makeup artist who was fabulous MISSY, on time, and professional. We did our wedding day at the salon, scheduled this MONTHS in ADVANCE . I am the MOTHER OF THE BRIDE and had a scheduled appointment at 11. I arrived at 10 and TOLD the front desk SEVERAL times asking when they can take me to style my hair. They took me more than 2 hours past the scheduled time and I WAS LATE for the WEDDING photographer, church etc. because of the SALON. Also told previously by the owner I would have a discounted price for make up service since we had whole wedding party at the salon and appreciated this but that DID NOT happen. Later I was told week of the wedding she was contract so he could not do that . The original stylist that did practice wedding styles QUIT so another issue. Jill - I'm not sure if you noticed yesterday that you turned my hair yellow/brassy on the top and my ends white!? I didn't notice until I got home. Was it from the toners you used because you did say it could turn white/grey if left on too long? I got home yesterday and cried after thoroughly looking at my hair when I left the salon. You also left color and/or shampoo in my ear and my scalp was burned leaving a scab on the top of my head from the dryer being too hot. My hair is completely trashed. I went into another salon today to get a second opinion and the hairdresser told me I would need a color correction done which costs a lot more money than the price of a full foil! I have disputed the Bella Viaggio charge with my bank because at this point I need someone that can fix my hair and not continue to make a mess of my hair. I shouldn't have to dish out hundreds of dollars on top of the $202 I spent at Bella to have my hair look good. Would the person that does your hair let you leave the salon if your hair looked like mine? Probably not. I was not treated very good and my experience with you has been one of the worst I've experienced. My hair was still very dark on top after my first appointment with you. It did not match the blonde on the bottom that I already had in my hair prior to seeing you. You didn't want to "argue" with me about re-doing my hair because you're the "professional" but you screwed up my hair this second time around so bad I now need to have a color correction done . . . I was a referral for you because my friend wanted me to have a good experience and nice hair after having my baby and not having my hair done in a long time, and that's what I expected, a good experience. This has been anything but a good experience. Perhaps you want to pick up the bill for the color correction I need done since I'm now going to be spending well over the $202 I spent at Bella plus your tip. I'm a pretty easy and understanding person, but when it comes to my hair that I now have to hide under a hat until it's fixed is really upsetting. I'm sure this message will fall on deaf ears because you're the professional and you'll just take care of it at my next appointment. That's not happening and this is not fair to me. Word of advice - you should give referrals a wonderful experience as that's how you'll build your book of business. Word of mouth is the best compliment you can get, but what do I know. Please refund my transaction of $202.50 so I can apply that money to the color correction I need to have done ASAP so I'm not walking around this summer looking like a complete clown. I went today for a massage with Lisa. I was in alot of discomfort in the neck and shoulder areas. She really is amazing. She pinpointed and worked on exactly what has been hurting for the longest time. She took care of the pain but also still made it relaxing. Very in tune with if her client wants to talk or not. My sister and I planned an outing here for my mom's birthday. We arranged 4 facials and 4 pedicures. In order to do this, the spa had to bring in another esthetician to accommodate the four of us at the same time. It was great that they were able to do it, but they took over a month to bring on another person and kept promising to call us back to confirm, but they never did. We were finally able to confirm our appointments a week before. The spa is in a gorgeous building. The reception area is a bit small and there doesn't seem to be enough room for people to check in/out - we were sort of standing in a line. They brought us to the locker rooms, which are also tiny, to change into robes and then we were able to lounge in the waiting room. There's only one bathroom and it's right in front of the lockers, so everyone is crammed into one space. The lounge area is comfortable, but there are only 4 chairs to lay down in. The rest are just regular, comfortable chairs and you can't put your feet up. If they don't have too many people in the spa at once, this shouldn't be an issue, but it's not comfortable if you aren't able to lay down. Our facials were great. The rooms are comfortable and the tables are heated. I also really enjoyed my pedicure. There are 6 chairs so you can go with friends - 3 across from 3. The pedicure area is separate from the spa section, so you have to change out of your robe if you want to get a pedicure, which I was a little disappointed about because I was comfortable. They also didn't have enough sandals, so we were all stuck wearing massive flip flops that were hard to walk in. All in all we had a really great day, though there are some things I think could stand to be improved. If not for the set up, I would give them 4 stars. read more

I had been searching for a good hair salon since moving to southern NH a year and a half ago, I must say I had tried at least 6 places and just about gave up my search and resigned myself to having to drive 2 1/2 hours each way to get a decent color cut and blow-dry when I literally stumbled upon this place while taking a different way home one night. I not only ended up finding a salon that had Goldwell products but also had stylists that are amazing, I have coarse curly hair and Janelle takes her time to not only get the color and cut perfect but also does a terrific blow dry that lasts for days. The staff is awesome they are always accommodating and friendly, in fact one day I had to cancel an appointment and reschedule before an important family event and there were no opening, so when Pam at the front desk told Janelle she called me and said I could come in at 8:30 even though she was not scheduled to work at that time, they truly made me feel important! The salon is elegant yet casual and comfortable, they have beer, wine and cold drinks along with a coffee/tea bar, at every step they try to make you feel special. I called ahead requesting a hair cut and color with anyone who had a lot of experience with color. My hair picks up red undertone and was previously colored dark. I told them I would wait as long as it takes for an appointment with the right person. They were able to fit me in 2 days later with Rachel. Rachel was very nice, but made a mess of my hair. She was going to let me walk out with the top half of my head over toned/processed and silver/gray looking and the Bottom half brassy orange streaks. When I voiced my concern to the front desk, I was told Rachel was busy with another customer now, but someone else could wash it with a clarifying shampoo and that would fix it. Or I could buy my own (for $25) and do it myself at home. I chose to have it washed there, and half dried so I wasn't walking out in 20 degree weather with a wet head. I spent close $400 on hair, facial and Tip. Worst experience ever! Cried all the way home! read more

My hair is SO DAMAGED and sparse from being overly thinned with a razor. The color was so brassy that I couldn't live with it for more than the weekend. I paid $250 3 days later to have the color fixed and the damage treated at another salon. Unfortunately, there is nothing that will help with the sparseness of my hair, but time. This is the WORST haircut I have ever had. I didn't realize until I did my hair myself. My hair is uneven in length and layers. There are holes in my hair from over texturizing. One side is completely different from the other side. Just one big mess! There is no style. My hair is just a bunch of layers with no actual style. The color isn't bad but far from good. This was our 1st time here. My husband and I did the couples massage and it was amazing. I can't say enough great things about them. From entering the door to leaving was a great experience. It exceeded our expectations. We were greeted right away shown around everything was very clean. We were given robes and slippers sat in the lounge where we were given the option of a drink (we both requested a beer) then we were brought to our couples massage room where we experienced the best 1 hour of our lives and then relaxed again in the lounge with some champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. I have so far only tried their relaxation massage, but it was amazing! The building is beautiful and new, and the spa portion of the salon is set away from the rest by soundproof doors/walls. They give you a soft luxurious robe and slip-on sandals if you don't have you're own. They give you a locker, you keep the key, and bring you to a comfy sitting room. Then they offer you water, coffee, tea, snacks, show you where the bathroom is and then let you relax! My massage was excellent and relaxing and the masseuse checked in frequently.
