I chose to review this business because I am very disappointed. I had extreme pain for weeks followed by two infections that were not treated properly by Lisa. I am actually devastated that I have to review this establishment with one star. Because truthfully, Christine (my specialist) is amazing and I planned on being a lifelong customer here. I have been to this spa 3 or 4 times and have really loved it. I even brought my daughter to my last appt due to lack of childcare at my appt time and the office women were AMAZING and walked her around for a "grand tour" to keep her occupied while I received my quick treatment. My three year old was raving about it all day. It was sweet really! I'm really embarrassed about the issue I come here to treat, so often waiting an entire month to come is almost impossible because I'm impatient and can't wait for my next treatment. Last week I received a text like I always do, asking to confirm my appt which I responded with the letter C To confirm- also like I always do. My appt is in two days (wed at 915) and today is Monday and it's about 230. As I'm on the phone with the neurology Dept over at children's hospital, making appts to screen my daughter who has been having what we think are seizures- I get a call from the spa. I triedto multitask and answer and the woman on the phone- Megan- was super rude. She had mentioned needing my payment over the phone and to pre screen me and I mentioned it wasn't a good time to chat and thought I'd be helpful by saying hey I'm confirmed for Wednesday and the answer to all your covid questions are no. I had to let her go and finish my call with neurology. What's disturbing is that once i was finished my phone call with neurology, I have a voicemail left by Megan saying my appointment is now canceled. I called back to ask for the manager and spoke to Jefferey, and voiced my frustration and shared how offended I was at what had just happened- that 2 days before my scheduled appt not only am I being demanded for a credit card to put on file at a TERRIBLE time but that my CONFIRMED appt was instantly canceled. And then, to my suprise, after having nothing but positive interactions with Jeffery, his response was "I heard the entire conversation here" and then proceeded to provide a somewhat insensitive explanation as to how "Our policy changed sept first and credit cards are required to confirm your appt. " My question is- If you heard her response and the conversation, then wouldn't you agree her behavior was quite unacceptable and rude? The issue here isn't the companies new policy, it's the lack of communication and not informing me prior - when I SHOULD HAVE been informed at my last appt at the end of September! I did not appreciate the rude and unprofessional response sprinkled with unacceptable flippant disrespect from Megan. She was rude and that is not how to treat a return customer that has very clearly confirmed her appt and shown up to all prior appts with out changing them. I just feel if you cared about your clients wouldn't you just take down my CC info on Wednesday when I come in and save it? That would have been SO much easier. I told Jefferey I'll be taking my business elsewhere, which is NOT convenient at all, because I'm in the middle of my treatment and I really loved it here. I had 8 or 9 procedures here over the period of a year. Their work was about 60/40. I liked %60 of it and was unhappy with the rest. Issues from misplaced filler, unconsentual filler placement, unprofessional behavior and unsterile prep unfolded during that time. I had a bump above my lip for over 8 months, lip filler I did not want, scaring, weeks of missed work and recovery. Now I am currently dealing with horribly botched under eye filler. Its been months and it will probably be months more in getting my face back to some semblance of normal. Unfortunately the response from the spa on each issue that had arised has been dismissive, defensive, minimizing, aggressive and at times out right lying. I have consulted with a number of other more experienced practitioners and am now working with an eye doctor in Boston. I would not recommend working with this spa. They have shown themselves to be arrogant and unprofessional. The quality of a practice like this is seen in how they handle mess ups and dissatisfaction. Are they supportive, empathetic? Do they acknowledge and properly rectify the situation? I can say the case for this spa is a resounding "no". They only added stress and pain to an already awful situation. I am better now in vetting my practitioners, and grateful that this awful and ongoing issue has at the very least lead me toward more professional care. read more

I had a procedure done with Lisa in 2016 and want to share my ongoing struggles since having it done. This place is awful and will leave you scarred. I went in for tattoo removal treatments. Lisa Vuich recommended the Micropen TR. She left my shoulder permanently scarred with hypertrophic scarring. I had to see a plastic surgeon to begin steroid injection treatments to see if we could get some of the inflammation and redness down. It is painful and I will have this scar forever. She was cold, unfriendly, not helpful and not sympathetic to what she did to my body. Stay far away from this place. I normally never write reviews, but I have to say I had to after my experience. I went to Dr. Lisa at Renew Medusa in Derry , NH after having a failed threads in my face by another dr. Dr Lisa told me the mint threads were stronger and that she could try and lift my very slight turkey neck and jowls . I was ecstatic bc I just spent so much money on insta lift which is a joke and does not work . Well -guess what ? No threads works , I got no results after paying 1,800 dollars at Dr Lisa and she basically told me that mint threads would not tighten my neck when originally she told me they would . I would have never gotten procedure done if that were the case . I am so disappointed and disgusted . I thought she might suggest something free of charge to help with the results , but not a thing !! Dr Lisa told me Botox might help , so I decided to do it bc I'm so self conscious of my neck . I have to say, I booked my Appointment before reading any reviews. After my consultation (which was awesome) I started to read the reviews. There are far more positive reviews than negative. As many people do, I started to focus on the negative. I was questioning my decision to Continue with the what I had scheduled. Once I met Dr. Lisa, I felt instantly Comfortable. She was calm and kind. She took the time to Explain what she thought would work for me. She asked me my Thoughts, shared her knowledge and genuinely made me feel comfortable with what we decided. As we began she explained what she was doing and what the best costs/discount would be to still give me the best results. I found her to be professional, approachable and less interested in the money and more interest in my happiness with the outcome. When I checked out heard my total, I thought, wow, that's it? I went and had 4 laser treatments in small areas to get rid of broken capillaries,red dots and small skin tags.I barely see a difference and I've had treatments elsewhere and saw results after one treatment.Also the last appointment I had the staff were in a break room right off waiting area thier concern was on clothing another staff had brought in to get rid of, instead of acknowledging me or respecting my time. I'm writing this to spare others from wasting their money like I did. I went in for PRP treatments, also known as a 'vampire facial' for the full face. Due to the fact that I had some dry patches on my face, the tech refused to do the harmless micro needling, claiming the small spots were inflamed. I didn't tell them this but I'm a licensed esthetician and electrologist who has extensive experience with working on the skin. If done properly the PRP would have helped. Dr. Lisa looked at my skin and suggested they inject the PRP under the skin, and drew lines all over my face. The tech then used a long needle and injected it horizontally deep into my skin, breaking the tissue underneath with the length of the needle. This should NEVER be done. It was extremely painful and I saw no noticeable result. I could see that the plasma wasn't separated in the vial (only the yellow part is used) and the syringes had a lot of red in them, so the RBCs weren't fully separated. That's what they injected into my skin. The girl they had process it was a receptionist who they supposedly trained to do this work. I later went back for the 'captivating eye' PRP, that supposedly injects fibers to build up tissue around the eye. I was quiet clear when making the appt. that it was for the crows feet area and asked if that could be done. I was told yes. Unfortunately Dr. Lisa didn't take the time to consult with me prior about the procedure. She flew in with the syringes and started injecting them BENEATH the periorbital area, instead of the indented under eye circle area, where I didn't need or want it. I tried telling her I wanted it placed in the crows feet area and she refused, claiming it would build up that area, giving my eye a circular look. This treatment DOES NOT build up the tissue in ANY area for any length of time. It's not meant for that. It's shocking to me that she conducts workshops to teach others in the field how to do these injections when her methods are not recommended. It didn't make a difference at all and I wasted $1400.00 total on it. I could have gone on a nice vacation with that money. After the last appointment I still had another scheduled for a different procedure, because I got roped into paying up front for a few procedures to get a discount. They sent me an email and text asking if I would refer my friends to the practice. I responded no. That led to me being dropped by the tech, then the full time IT flunky Jeffrey - who's in charge of getting reviews prematurely from patients before their work is completed - sent me a letter saying they didn't want to work with me anymore. It was full of blame and attempted to shame me. I suspect these methods of soliciting reviews are why they get more good reviews and manage to filter out the rest. People don't want to complain before their work is fully complete. This is a money grabbing establishment that treats their clients like crap. After she finished the quick and dirty injections she walked me out of the room, so nobody came back in to wash all of the marks on my face off. I was led right to the receptionist for payment. I washed my face in the bathroom that had no paper towels to dry my face. I went to Brooklyn NY to get proper PRP treatments and they were shocked when they heard about how they used me as a guinea pig for those long needle injections (so the tech could get more experience with injections.) Dr. Lisa also tries to pass patients off to her techs for the hormone treatments that are invasive procedures and should only be done by medical professionals - ie: doctors, not techs who may or may not even have their esthetician licenses. Their pricing is also very high. I paid half of what they charge for my vampire facials in NYC. They spun the plasma in the same room and gave me the leftover plasma to apply on my skin when I got home. Don't waste your time or hard earned money at this place. read more

I had Profound RF on my face and SubQ fat cell reduction on my neck. It's been a month and a half and I don't see any difference in my facial lines or my neck. I was told to wait 1 to as long as 6 months to see collagen increase where procedure was performed. I admit I am not a patient person but I was told after a month my small wrinkles in my cheeks of my face would be a lot better and I just don't see it. They suggested a procedure to me that I unfortunately got and it didn't make any improvement, very unhappy with my results. I went to Renew to get my tear troughs looked at and to see if filler would work for me. To get in to see anyone takes a long time. They book weeks out. They also cancelled my first appointment because Dr. Lisa wasn't in town even though I had booked my time. My first appointment I waited 35 minutes and I was a little disappointed by this right off the bat. No one said anything to me I just sat there waiting. At least inform me Dr Lisa is running late. I had my consultation and I received 1ML of filler for tear trough and 1 ML for cheek filler. I paid $500. in advance as a special price and $589. for the second syringe. That's a total of $1089. I had minimal swelling and even though Dr. Lisa isn't overly warm and friendly I felt like I was in good hands. 2 week follow up and my right side is beautiful but my left side where the tear trough is deeper , is wrinkled and doesn't look anything liked I hoped. Another appointment and another $500. for the tear trough filler syringe. After 2 weeks my left side is swollen and drooping and wrinkled. I scheduled another appointment having to wait until they had time- and now they tell me they have to remove some filler . Beth did the procedure this time to remove filler. They have to use a needle to remove it and that was on May 10th. As of today May 19th, under my eye is black and blue and is still wrinkled and does not match my right side. Here it is almost 2 months later-after spending$ 1589. and 3 appointments I can definitely say do not go to this spa for filler of any kind. Go to a board certified plastic surgeon who know what they are doing. No one seems concerned about following up or if you are happy with results. It's a business and they treat it as such. Have been going there for a few years, and off and on have experienced some rude treatment from the front desk staff and receptionist (several different people), but didn't let it deter me because I really like Lisa and she does a good job. Typically I feel like they ignore you when you walk in. Maybe they do that to everyone. Fortunately, the last time I was there, with the covid restrictions I was not there early enough and they still took me (and I know they didn't have to- I was at fault). They didn't hide their annoyance with me and I felt like a loser and apologized. I figured I was at fault because I was late and I know that can mess up their day. So....I decided to try to book with them again. This month, I got a birthday bonus for $50 off, it came in an email on my birthday, so I decided to call and book another appointment. I called 3 days after I received the coupon, and it needed to be used within 30 days. The Spa was booked out for more than a month, so I took the next available slot and asked if they'd honor the $50 dollars off since the next available slot was apparently 9 days after the coupon expired. I got a VERY rude, "no, but you can try to book another service and use it for that" from the receptionist. Um, ok no thanks. I was about to spend over $500 at your business. The worst experience-beware! Went in for tear trough (filler) Dr Lisa thought threads and filler would be appropriate. Was sore for a few days after-expected but swelling in my face continued to get worse and have more wrinkles under my eyes now then I did prior to going in. Called with my concerns they assured me it was normal and give it another week or two....nothing changed so Nurse agreed to see me (i am also a nurse) was told oh that's normal take Claritin and do warm compresses for a week you'll be fine.....two weeks later, more swollen and more under eye wrinkles!!!! When called back was told i would need to see Dr Lisa and potentially get dissolver...scheduled me two weeks out-called back as that appt didn't work and they wanted to push the appt out an entire month! The person on the phone told me I was being confrontational and wished me the best of luck and almost hung up on me! I asked to speak with the manager and oddly enough that was the manager!!! Terrible customer service they don't care about their patients what they care about is earning a buck! Atrocious customer service! Called a well known dermatologist/plastic surgeon immediately after getting off the phone with them and they were able to get me an appt next day....really excited to spend more money to fix their almost thousand dollar screw up! The place is beautiful! Very elegant. But... do your research first! And really understand that your expectation may be very different than your result (at ANY place I'm sure). I had my eyebrows micro-bladed there and after my first visit in April, the color faded almost immediately (maybe 4 days). First visit, no pain. At my second visit, we went 3 shades darker (mid May). I do have oily skin and I definitely bled a lot, but I personally, found the experience to be EXTREMELY painful and uncomfortable. I felt every cut during each follow-up visit. It was very painful, and I didn't feel as though I was numb enough. I mentioned it several times throughout the process that I could feel the blade, but she kept blaming my skin type and not being 'healed enough from the last visit'. The woman who did my brows gave me a third touch up at no charge (which was very nice of her!) but.... again, the color faded... FAST ...and I had zero shape to my brows. Each time, I tried to voice my concerns and that I really wanted a more dramatic shape, , but was told "I bled too much" and that basically, I'd just get what I'd get. I felt like she didn't listen to me at all. Third follow up was in July. I left feeling uncomfortable and more than disappointed. On my way out, I asked her when to come back for a touch up, and she basically declined me as I walked out the door... like I was a 'lost cause'. It's September now, and my brows are back to square one. I feel like I went through each process to only have a few days in between of brows I didn't need to fill in. I understand that everyone's skin type and sensitivity is different, but I expected so much more from such a high end spa. When you spend that much money, you'd expect the best of the best. Overall, I was very disappointed with my experience. Maybe it was just a 'fluke' incident for me. Either way, I would consider doing this again, but I'll never go back to Renew or recommend them for any 'permanent/semi permanent' Makeup. :( read more

I went to Renew Medispa for botox and filler. I did not see a big difference with the filler which was injected into the nose fold. Dr Lisa is cold and unfriendly. She barely speaks! I went to find out what the best way to improve my appearance and the furrows between my eyebrows. You can ask questions and she just gives you a faint smile. I went back 5 months later for more botox. I came out of the place looking exactly the same. It seems she did not use enough botox. And I have a lump on my lower cheek from the filler that she did not smooth out properly. It has been a year since she injected the filler and I still have a lump. I went to someone else who came highly recommended for injectibles. She gave me personalized treatment. She looked at the shape of my face and suggested I have her fill the cheek area right across the face. It takes years off my face and looks fantastic! People who do not know that I did anything have commented on how good I look. Dr Lisa did not give me any cold packs and the office never suggested I bring some with me OR to take arnica to lessen any bruising. They are a business trying to make a great profit and do not give personalized service and do not do a good job. Do not waste your money!
