The girls at Epic far out weigh any of the competition. They have built an incredible business based on kindness, skill, respect, compassion and results driven products. They go above and beyond any idea of customer service. Last week I had my nails fone by Lizzy and unfortunately my car broke down. I was struggling to find a ride to the rental company. Wouldn't you know their very own Samantha drove me to the rental company. That I can say is not something the average business would do for a customer but Epic did. This just goes to show you the depth of their character. Today I went back for a hair cut and Kevin Murphy treatment with Adrienne. I was treated with the utmost respect once again. My hair looks, feels and smells fabulous. She knew I was nervous and did everything just right to make me feel comfortable. I'm new-ish to the area and was in dire need to find a place that could cut my relatively simple, straight medium-length hair. To my surprise I have been on the hunt for this for about 2 years. The hunt has stopped. I was very pleased not only by the cut I received but by the studio itself. It's deceiving beautiful on the inside (the outside building is just a ho-hum plaza). Kalin did my cut and was very friendly and understood what I wanted....and for the first time ever...kid you not...I didn't feel the need to go home and re-do my hair after I left...and I didn't get raked with additional costs for blow-drying it (who pays for a cut then gets told it doesn't include drying...it's like saying a shampoo doesn't include the rinse). So thanks ladies, I finally found my place and you now have a loyal customer! read more

I have been going to Epic Design for just over 3 years and I have loved every hair cut and style they have done. I have used at least four different stylist and each is as good as the other. The staff is friendly caring and they take an interest in me and my life. The conversation is sometimes deep and other times just fun chat. I noticed a couple of negative reviews recently, and was surprised. Of course people all have different experiences, so I wanted to share another of mine. Due to some scheduling and traveling challenges over the past few months, getting to Epic wasn't convenient for me, so I went elsewhere for a few trims and and no one had been able to fix my bang fiasco. (See another of my reviews for a different place in regards to this ginormous mistake!) I knew that Adrienne could work her magic and correct the problem, so I made an appointment as soon as time allowed. I could no longer stand my "wings" after living with them for several months and had three failed attempts at getting them tamed. I was almost embarrassed to be going back, but I was welcomed back with a big hug and a stylist that was genuinely happy to see me again! As I expected, I walked out loving my fresh color, and of course, my bangs FINALLY were under control and I really liked my style again!! It was a huge relief. I know that sounds a little dramatic, but have you ever been super self-conscious about something? I feel like the stylists at Epic really take the time to listen to what you want, and get to know both you and your hair before they even take the scissors out. Everyone is so friendly and the atmosphere is very upbeat. Ali is very professional & talented for someone so young. Weny in yesterday for latest trend of SNS, a nail system known to strengthen and better the overall health of your nails. It was a two hour process to get the bad SNS job off from a salon in Haverhill and she had to rehab a couple, but it was so worth it. I've had SNS on my nails for over a month now, not knowing there was a right and a wrong way to do it in regards to the health aspect. Now that I've seen the light, I won't go anywhere other than Epic Studios with Lizzy. She was very particular and made sure I was comfortable pointing out things that may have bugged me, for I too am very particular. Looking forward to another round in a couple weeks, but for now I'll bask in the glitter glory of my beautiful set. Welcoming atmosphere and elegant decor, even got a glass of wine, oo la la! This salon is nice, clean and with friendly staff. It would be better if the stylist had listened to what I really wanted instead of rushing. The cut was well done but not what I had asked for. I didn't say anything about it because I felt like I was being rushed. I will try again sometime but not soon. I feel as if my experience was because of a really busy day and not the skills of the stylist. read more

I went in the middle of Nov 2017 for Hair Dreams extensions, paid A LOT of money ($1,500.00) to be exact and a month later, after following all of the care instructions, the hair is shedding like crazy, the bonds have dropped 1.5 - 2 inches or more in certain places (.5" is regrowth). I have called the salon and left messages twice but still no call back. Nice customer service after all that money spent. The hair is of good, not great quality (was not offered 7 star hair, they purchased 5 star), as a month later, the hair tends to knot up a bit and I rarely use heating tools but maybe 1 time a week at a low temp. The extensions were placed too close to my face line so when i wear my sides loosely pulled back, you can see them. I left with the bond adhesive rough and not smoothed out so it tugged at other hairs and the bond adhesive was attached to other hairs outside the bonds. Overall, if you are going to invest in such an expensive product, do it with an experienced stylist who cares, does a great job and communicates when you have issues. Relocated and needed a good lash artist, chose the volume lashes which my lashes didn't like very much. They were so awesome to accommodate and address my concerns and gave me a wonderful classic set. The artist is so darling and personable and we talk the entire appointment which makes time fly. She is ordering new products that I am excited to try in the future, and hopefully try to convert to volume again. read more

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding and Epic did the nails of all the girls the day off the rehearsal. the bride paid as a gift. she paid extra for shellac and French manicure. my nails look like a 5 year old painted them and now I am stuck with it for several weeks. I have never had such a poor manicure. the white is completely uneven and my nails were not filed properly. the bride's nails were done by the owner and hers came out fine luckily. the same girl did my makeup the next day and none of us were happy. took a lot of coaching to get what we wanted abd I never got it. stay away. read more

Two stylists bought the salon and renamed, re-vamped it into the current salon. Adrienne and Nina- the owners - are talented and current. They can cater to anyone from teens (they do Scene, etc.) and up (to old f@rtz like me.) They also offer cosmetologists who do facials, make-up, manicures, pedicures, bridal hairdressing, and have additional hairstylists with apparently little to no staff turnover. Men, feel welcome; I have seen many male customers come through while I was waiting for my daughter. The ambience is comfortable and casual, but also a bit up-scale without being intimidating. Coffee is on offer, and occasionally I have been offered champagne, tho I was the des. driver and couldn't imbibe :( . Very friendly. Hip but inclusive and low-key. The only constructive criticism I have is that they could be less laid-back about pricing and let the customer know the prices as variables come up so no surprises for the client. I was looking for a new stylist, and thought I would try this salon since it's close to home, and so Glad I did! Linsey was very nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. She showed me some tricks to style my hair and gave me good information on shampoo and styling products. I love the way she cut and styled my hair! She did an amazing job! The woman at the front desk was very friendly. The salon is super cute (which you wouldn't even think by looking at the outside of the building). Overall, great experience. I can't comment on the color or other services, but I have been getting the express Keratin here for almost 4 years. I come about twice a year and have Ashley do it. Their prices are extremely reasonable and the Keratin always lasts longer than I expect it to last. They greet you with a smile, a beverage, and the salon is always clean and very modern. It's a little out of the way for me but I don't mind making the trip and I love how it makes my hair feel and look. My friends tell me my hair has never looked better. I'm actually making an appointment to go in the next few days. I have sent a few people here and they have all been happy as well. read more

I love coming to Epic! They recently expanded, making the salon much larger, separating hair from manicure/pedicure area. It looks great! All of the staff is always super nice. Kylie does a great schelac manicure, always coming out stellar. Ashley is also a great stylist! She did a great job with dealing with me and my first experience dying my hair! Horrible horrible horrible! The owner of this salon did my hair & makeup for a wedding as well as 2 other bridesmaids & a bride. My hair looked ridiculous, I mean, how hard are simple curls? As for makeup, a 5 year old could have done better. I wiped it all off & did it myself. All of these services were done by the owner. Also, she insulted me & refused to pin back my hair because "my forehead was too big!" Very very poor work & unprofessional. Save your money. read more

Nina,one of the owners did my hair and make-up for my wedding and she did a fantastic job! She also did my maid of honors and flower girl's hair and everyone complimented and raved about all of our hair. She is extremely talented and professional and I recommend her to you all. She came to my hotel suite the day of my wedding but I have also been to the salon many times and I love it! They sell great products and have all types of beauty services.
