I finally made it here. I've always wanted to try it since it opened. I used to frequent the old business that was here and was sorry to see them close. BUT...Leafs and Grounds is wonderful!!! It's got a really relaxed, chill ambiance with awesome music (mellow indie/alternative) that is not blaring through the speakers. I can see myself stopping by after work to do some catch up with a delicious beverage. The hubs and I stopped by since we had the odd day off together. What a great place to start the day. We got a scone and breakfast empanada. We saw some lukewarm reviews on the empanadas but decided to try it anyway. It was good!! Nice golden brown flaky pastry filled with sausage, eggs and potatoes. What's not to like? The other choice was bacon. I tried a lemon blueberry scone that had a proper crumble texture and was filled with whole blueberries and a bright lemon flavor. I would get that again! The drinks were very tasty as well. My hubs loves London Fogs and he enjoyed this one. You could taste the Earl Grey and there was a light vanilla sweetness to it. I decided to try the strawberry matcha from their Spring cafe menu. I would get this again as well. The bottom of the glass was filled with real strawberry purée and the top was matcha with oatmilk. The matcha is on point. It's a little grassy, but not bitter at all (the way I prefer it instead of presweetened weak matcha like some other coffee places serve). To sum it up...total win!! First time and it certainly won't be the last time. Went here with my son after our gym session. He got the lavender honey tea which was absolutely delicious, and the Turkey pesto sandwich to go. We ended up staying so he could eat because the place was cute and the food look great so he couldn't wait until we got home to enjoy it. I got the cinnamon and brown sugar specialty latte. It was a bit too bitter for my taste. Next time I'll try the other flavors and see which ones I like best. I couldn't resist bringing home their house made vanilla bean sauce. Going to try it in my home made coffee drinks and baking adventures. The staff were all very friendly and all had amazing hair! I was looking for a place to study and I stumbled upon Leaf and Grounds located across the street from Southern Hills. There is a lot of parking spots so you don't have to fight for parking coming here. I like that this cafe has tons of seating, which makes it perfect for big group hang outs or if you wanted to get some solo work done. The customer service was amazing, I personally had nothing wrong with my order but I noticed they were eager to fix other customers orders if they weren't satisfied. I opted for the Prosciutto & Fig Jam toast because I wanted something sweet and salty. You could choose to have it with a side of chips or a side salad. The toast came on a thick piece of bread and it was really filling. The toast had a perfect balance of sweet and salty. For my drink I chose the White Chocolate Raspberry and I was blown away. I have never been to a coffee shop that was able to capture the raspberry flavor very well until I came here. It is probably my favorite thing on the menu so far because it tastes exactly like the Lindor Raspberry Cheesecake White Chocolate truffles but in a drink. I recommend getting it hot! I will definitely be coming back to try the rest of their items and I recommend this place out for any first timers. Apparently staff here feel it is appropriate to interject themselves into customers personal lives and to then continue that inappropriate interaction and discussion about those customers with different customers when they have left. The best part is that they apparently feel this is acceptable while they are completely 100 percent incorrect in their meddling. Shockingly unprofessional. No returning. To respond to the owner... Just so we are clear, your perception was wildly incorrect as my partner told your staff when she asked. Whatever was supposedly heard by a 3rd party was also incorrectly taken out of context, and then after being told by my partner your perceptions were incorrect, you still felt the need to discuss your incorrect assumptions with a 3rd party the next day, again assuming you knew anything about the relationship between all of us. Again, to stress, after you were already told by my partner that nothing you believed was accurate and was actually related to a medical issue she was experiencing. Thanks again for upsetting her, which you did and she later complained to me about your staff taking it upon themselves to incorrectly involve themselves in personal matters. You can claim negative things were said but they weren't and you are of course saying some other customers supposedly heard something because they did not have the full context of what we were talking about. All you did was upset her, which is the real problem for me, and talking to other people about what you THINK is going on in other customers private lives is not appropriate no matter what you tell yourself. Go ahead and think you are in the right all you want with your self perceived righteousness, when instead you should be minding your own business about things you got completely wrong. Super cute spot. They've changed the interior a bit so that you could now hang out and do some work on the sofas. The coffee is good and the staff are amazing every time I have visited. This is a walk up to the counter and order place. Not a restaurant with a wait staff. The menu is pretty limited only a couple egg dishes. veggie items and Nutella toast type foods. Also one seating area with small individual tables. These chairs are leather, roomy and comfortable. The music is an ok volume, the music choice is not bad... But with the amazing artists that we have to choose from, this music adds nothing. Service - The girl at the counter... Zero hospitality skills. Not even a Good Morning, or Welcome to Leafs and Grounds. I have to admit, I was initially very disappointed with the way our breakfast at Leafs and Grounds started. My husband had a look on his face that said let's get out of here. When he sat down he said something to that effect. Hopefully they will read this review and give their team some coaching and practice when there are no clients in the facility. This kind of rude, non-welcome is a very negative start and can only hurt their business. (1 star) -The black coffee came out hot and was EXCELLENT. LaVazza (5 star) -Lavender Tea with honey served cold. Black tea is bitter with a strong taste of honey. A lovely Hibiscus iced tea would be far better. (3 star) -Breakfast Sandwich is very tasty and refreshing. I ordered it with no onions. (5 star) -Fruit cup was my choice over chips or a side salad... Today they served strawberries, blueberries, grapes and pineapple. The girl I ordered it from was the same negative Nelly who didn't greet us... She said today's fruit salad was cantaloupe with other fruits... And there is no melon in this salad, but it is fresh, cold and tasty. (5 star) -2 eggs with a choice of protein and chips, fruit or salad... Server with a lightly toasted bagel and cream cheese. No special taste or flavouring, but it came out nice and hot. (4 star) The food came out quickly and they bring it out to your table, which was not explained, so that was a nice surprise. The experience was better than we expected... Their coffee is delicious. I got a Cortado so smooth and not burnt. A huge thing for me is that it's smooth. For food I got their 2 egg breakfast, great portion for the price. Eggs cooked to perfection (hard to find a cafe that cooks eggs right) , crispy bacon (not the microwavable kind thank goodness) and a great fresh cup of fruit. I've been to many places you can tell their fruit has been sitting around or a day old or just that cheapy fruit you get at the grocery store. Not here, the fruit is FRESH and YUMMY. I had nectarine, blueberries, strawberries, pineapple and grapes. I also tried their White Coconut Creme hot tea, AMAZING flavor. I also tried their prosciutto and cheese empanada. The dough was sooo flaky and buttery SO good. Their sweet pastries also look amazing. All handmade in house gonna try those next visit. The ambiance is also what sets the tone for me, finally a place that isn't blasting music so loud. It's quite, just enough to still enjoy chill cafe music yet still able to hear myself think and concentrate on my work that I am trying to get done. Plenty of seating. Great place to have conversations in and they have an abundance of outlets for charging thank goodness! So happy to have stumbled on this spot. I am a coffee aficionado! I love coffee and I do travel sometimes just for a taste of coffee! I happened to find myself on the southwest side of the valley yesterday and tried a new coffee Cafe (leafs and grounds). Much to my delight, I noticed on the menu, a rose latte. I spoke to the owner and found out She makes all of her syrups herself. I have only had a rose latte twice. It is true, the third time is charm. The Best yet! It was delicious, with light floral notes and a twinge of rose. I also tried a warmed poppyseed lemon scone which was scrumptious I only have one complaint- it isn't closer to Henderson! I just stopped in to pick up a too good to go order. The value was absolutely incredible! They included a cheese danish, 2 different scones, mini pumpkin pie and a thanksgiving empanada. We also ordered 2 lattes. I got the cinnamon brown sugar and my sister who is an avid coffee drinker got the white chocolate raspberry. Both were delicious. We also tried the breakfast empanada with sausage which was so freaking good. The pastry melted in your mouth and the filling was delicious. 10/10 The staff was super sweet. Ahhhh! I'm so glad to have stumbled on this place when I was looking for a cafe to study at. I really like how open it is and the tables are big and spread out. I came on a Wednesday morning and decided to study here. It's very clean inside and the vibe was very lax. There was plenty of space for seating and even a couch area if you like. The service was pretty face and the ladies up front are very sweet. The food was delicious and was enough to keep me full to the evening. I really like their home made cream cheese spread. I'll definitely be coming back for not only the food but the vibes. I also got a cinnamon brown sugar latte and it was delicious. It's up there with starbiez imo. I can say overall I like this place for the food and atmosphere. I can get a lot of my work done at this nice cafe and alot of their food is definitely on the more healthy side. It's also not very loud inside for a cafe so that's perfect. They do close at a pretty decent time so definitely come check them out. Plenty of parking in the plaza and other shops to walk around. Leafs and Grounds is a cute coffee shop in the SW right off Sunset/Ft Apache. It's located in a plaza with plenty of parking. As we were walking in we heard music and there was someone singing live. There is plenty of seating inside and the shop is decorated with lots of cool artwork. We were greeted and helped right away by the very nice staff. My daughter ordered an iced Vanilla Bean Latte & a Yogurt Parfait. I ordered a hot Cinnamon Brown Sugar Latte & I saw a sign that said best scones in Vegas so I had to try one! I got the Chocolate Strawberry. Pistachio was my first choice but sadly it was out. We listened to the live music as we waited for our order. The scone came out first and it's a good size and reminds me of a cookie. I asked for it warmed and it was so good! It was crispy around the edges and soft and chewy inside with fresh strawberry chunks! Our drinks came out next and I have to say that the latte is one of the best ones I've had! It was smooth with just the right amount of sweet. My daughter savored her iced latte because she said it was so good. She usually finishes her drinks in a few sips! I knocked off a star only because her yogurt parfait took a bit longer than expected. I even had to go to the counter to ask about it. I like to check out local cafes on Sundays, and this place was close by to where I live. The inside is very spacious and clean. I ordered a Cinnamon & Brown Sugar Ice Latte and their Prosciutto & Fig Jam Toast. It wasn't busy when I got there so I got my order quickly. They prepared everything to order. The Latte I got was delicious and a huge serving for how much I paid ($6.50) I got so full off the coffee that I had to take my toast to-go. The prosciutto and fig jam toast was delicious. The fig jam complimented the prosciutto perfectly and the bread was toasted just right. I got the fruit cup as a side. This is a really nice little local spot, definitely check it out. To start the take away llids do not stay on the large cups for anything and I (very sadly) dumped coffee on my lap the second I got into my car, but the coffee was really, really, really good! It's about time I leave a review. I've seen Leafs and Grounds when they first started to now and let me tell you it only gets better. From the beginning my absolute favorite was their cucumber hummus toast with a side salad and extra cucumbers. Recently I tried the tomato soup with grilled cheese and to say my mouth salivated was an understatement. Waterfalls were coming out lol! Enjoyed and savored every bite not wanting to share any with my mom Everytime we go, seeing Patricia and Laurie there greeting us with a smile is fantastic. Sitting and talking as if we're friends who just got together and reconnected like time never changed. Patricia is amazing and treats her customers with the same care as the first time she's met me. The mother and owner of the place also is very kind and together their aura creates a relaxing, welcoming, nonjudgmental environment that everyone wants to visit. Not only that, but the quality of their products from drinks to fresh food is obvious in the rich taste and texture. I asked for clarity on my bill, and the way it was handled made me feel really uncomfortable and unwelcome especially as the owner glared at me without saying a word to me and then mumbled something as I walked away. YUMMMM. Salmon toast was 10/10. The cafe ambiance itself is very inviting and lots of space to sit, study, eat, or just hangout! The service was fast as well. My bf got a coffee and he loved it! I got the strawberry matcha and it was yummy too! I feel like the strawberry overpowered the matcha flavor so it tasted more just like strawberry but it was still good! I appreciate that they use house made strawberry puree instead of using artificially flavored sweeteners. It makes a huge difference!! Definitely will be back to try other menu items. read more
