We arrived here on a Friday morning during the Thanksgiving break recently. Leafs and grounds is located in a nice plaza off Fort Apache and Sunset street in Las Vegas. Southern Hills Hospital is located across the street. Parking is plentiful and accessible in the large parking lot. The modern decor is simple, cozy, and bright. Since it was that time of the year, there is a Christmas tree and decorations inside the shop which is a nice touch. The vibe is family friendly and welcoming. We ordered a cinnamon brown sugar latte and an Ube latte with soy milk. The drinks were soothing and had just the right amount of sweetness. My coffee had a nice latte art. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Leafs and grounds. The staff was accommodating and helpful. The price point of the coffee was just right. Since the coffee shop is located conveniently down the street where we stay at when we are in town, we will be back to try the pastries and other coffee drinks.
Located in the shadow of Southern Hills Hospital Leafs and Grounds opened at the end of 2022, their popularity slowly growing by word of mouth attesting to Sin City's best Scones and a locally grown feel that taps into Pacific Northwest Coffee culture. A novelty in Las Vegas, the shop slowing things down compared to Dutch Bros or Starbucks and doing things their own way without a slew of influencers, guests arriving Tuesday through Sunday from 6am until 3pm will find a family owned spot with plenty of room to linger, work, and read. Using Lavazza for a variety of Lattes and specialty Coffees, a proper grinder and Espresso machine attesting to doing things the right way, Pastries are made on-site by the Mother and children with Empanadas fully loaded beneath a golden shell while Danishes are so flaky that a fork and plate are mandatory. Onward to Scones, flavors announced daily on Instagram, suffice it to say these aren't the typical British rounds in need of Clotted Cream or Jam, but rather something like a layered Southern Biscuit loaded with Butter and complex flavors ranging from Blueberry Lemon to Orange Cardamom.
This place is just a hidden gem. For the venue? It's cozy, homey. They also have an awesome bookcase, like you're at home, exploring books and imagining every page of every book. Coffee? Oh, it's good. They are using Lavazza beans, which is a plus. For food - I think just a little time in the fryer for the sausage - it made the sausage dry and burnt. But! It was still a good experience. For the service? Uhmm, maybe a little more interaction. It wasn't busy when we came so it should not be an issue. But I felt like this part was a little short. But overall, it was a good time. Will comeback.

The watermelon salad with lime and mint dressing was so refreshing The pastries were divine. I'm still dreaming about the cherry danish and candied orange scone! And the empanadas? Chorizo, egg, and potato & Aji de gallina?! Savory perfection! Shoutout to Cindy and Ainsley for being the sweetest ever! Seriously, they made our girls' lunch outing so much fun. Il If you're in Vegas, you HAVE to check this place out.

I had the Avocado and Egg with arugula on sourdough toast, served with fresh berries, while my hubby enjoyed the breakfast burrito filled with scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage and cheese.
That vanilla bean latte was easily one of my favorites and was so tasty I will come back for that treat! Service was a bit unfriendly/not so welcoming. But maybe I caught them in an off time, so I would try it again. The Inside is cute and cozy with some books, a Christmas tree, and chess game. Nice spot for a cup of coffee or a to go drink.
Came here to do some work early in the morning and got a cranberry matcha latte. It's got an earthy taste and not too sweet. The shop seems cozy and vintage. I haven't found a drink here that I love but the baristas are nice.
So I was supposed to meet a friend here but we got our days mixed up. She ended up not making our meet up. I decided to make the best of it but apparently they stop serving breakfast at 11:00am. Bummer!!!! I went ahead and ordered their avocado toast (I know boring) but I really wanted breakfast. I also ordered a Hibiscus Lemonade. The drink was very tasty but the toast had guacamole on it instead of sliced avocado. Just blah! Service was great, but this place really wasn't me so I doubt I will return.
truly loved this unique cafe that strays from the norm. I loved how cozy it was in there and much more ma & pop style which was a nice change from the trendy cafes of vegas. they have a lot of seating and it is a very quiet place to study or work. they also have a wide array of baked goods and they rotate them seasonally. tried their jallelujaj sandwich and it was so fresh and flavorful and such a good size serving. tried their black sesame latte which was a seasonal pick, it was very rich and flavorful and the perfect balance of sweetness. was a little bummed you couldn't taste much coffee in it. my friend got their pizza empanada which was a fun twist on a regular empanada. the staff was very bubbly and willing to help and answer questions and I was impressed with how quickly the food and drinks came for being such quality and specialty items. highly recommend this cafe!
Whether you're looking for a quick coffee, a bite to eat or afternoon tea this adorable coffee shop has you covered. There is ample space to meet up with a medium sized group. The seating is comfortable. A nice clean restaurant. We were greeted by nice young ladies who assisted us in making our food choices. Most of the menu sounded great. It was hard to choose what I wanted to eat. I chose the sausage egg and cheese empanada. The crust is amazing. The entire empanada was really good. I would come back to get more for sure. Decent sized as well, enough to fill you up. My daughter got pancakes and bacon. They were very good. The portions of the bacon is great! My husband got the jalapeño bacon sandwhich. He loved it. The homemade sauces on it were really good. The strawberry tea was not how we had expected. We weren't expecting there to be pureed strawberries in it. The floating bits kind of threw it off. The iced mocha was good. I enjoyed it. The blueberry redbull was good. Overall, everything was great. We enjoyed our breakfast. I'll definitely be back to try more empanadas and try the "best scones in town".
Nice cozy spot to meet up with friends for brunch. Pretty extensive list of food & beverages. They even have seasonal specials too like Christmas & now Valentine's. We ordered the following: HUMMUS AND CUCUMBER-Sourdough Toast with Avocado, Hummus, Cucumber, Salt and Pepper. 2 EGG BREAKFAST-2 Eggs, Sausage or Bacon, and Toast or Bagel. TURKEY AND PESTO-Turkey, Pesto, Avocado, Arugula, Tomato, and Red Onion on Sourdough. For drinks we got a hot matcha latte and an iced rose latte. We both really enjoyed everything. My latte had the perfect blend of flavor & espresso. I definitely want to try their Valentine's drink specials.
I had their afternoon tea (it was actually morning) set up. The price was terrific. The tea selection was varied and delicious. Food was smoked salmon tea sandwiches, cream, cheese, and cucumber, tea sandwiches, two different types of scones, fresh fruit, avocado, toast with hard-boiled egg, cookies, a puff pastry with strawberry and whip, whipped cream, and a couple of other items. There was enough to even take a box with the leftovers. Trust me you won't go hungry. This was really lovely. Tea was served with lovely China, tea, cups, and tea pots. The service was great and I can't wait to do this again.
We got the Thanksgiving sandwich, turkey with pesto sandwich, a lavender London fog latte, and gingerbread latte. Everything was delicious and especially hats off to them for putting out a Thanksgiving sandwich that's actually good (looking at you capriotti's and Earl of Sandwich). Definitely going to be coming back here!

We stopped by Leafs & Grounds and really enjoyed the overall vibe of this local coffee shop! The interior is super cute with lots of different posters, a bookshelf with books you can read, games, and plenty of little details to look at. I also loved the white wall down the hallway where customers have written messages. Even their $10 posters were actually really good! We didn't really get greeted when we came in, so the service was just okay during our visit, but nothing that would keep us from coming back. I also noticed they're dog-friendly, which is always nice! I ordered the iced Ube Latte, my husband got a double espresso over ice with vanilla cream cold foam, and our kids got a lemonade and Vanilla Steamer. My Ube Latte was okay--it had a little too much ube flavor for my preference--but everyone else really enjoyed their drinks. I think I just need to come back and try something different, maybe the Vanilla Bean Latte next time! We also didn't get a chance to try the food, so the empanadas are definitely on the list for our next visit. Overall, such a cute local spot with a lot of personality. We'll be back! read more
Your Cozy Neighborhood Cafe! That has a modern study lounge and indie creative space! The gal that was taking our order gave really good recommendations of what was popular and what could be good options for us to try. We ended up ordering their empanadas with a latte! I ordered the sausage empanada and he ordered the buffalo chicken empanada along with an Ube latte. Honestly, really good breakfast empanada I've had and it was a good size that we probably could have shared. The empanada was buttery, flaky and warm! My husband said he really enjoyed his empanada and said the same thing. Overall, cute neighborhood cafe and can't wait to come back and try more of heirloom menu! read more

They offer LavAzza coffee for a variety of espresso beverages y'all. There is a private parking lot with an adequate supply of spaces. The atmosphere is calm, open, welcoming and casual. There is a variety of seating available for customers to relax and socialize. Customer service was friendly, efficient, and helpful when I asked questions about certain items on their menu. I ordered an Americano with cream. It was delicious! I plan on returning to try other menu items. read more
If you're in the South West area mainly looking for coffee but also want to grab something to eat, this is your spot. They have a menu full of food but I always come here just because of their empanadas. You may have to come earlier before they sell out but it's definitely worth it. I just get a cold brew but that's all I need. The service is as you would expect from a coffee shop but they bring your food to you rather than just calling your name out which is a nice touch. The area is very spacious where you can come here to work or just chill in the couches and talk with some friends. They have a south facing entrance so you'll always get the best of sun throughout most of the day. read more

Went at noon, all the pastries were gone. Sad that we couldn't try the empanada. All the drinks are on the light side, not too impressive. But I liked the toast sampler, all the savory ones were good (salmon, caprese, fig & prosciutto), 4 toasts at $18. I think it's a very good deal. It's dog friendly inside the cafe. Will go back for the toast sampler with my pup. Don't forget to check in for 10% off! (I forgot ) read more

Excellent service, food and of course coffee! I had the hashbrown skillet with sausage, egg and cheese and was delicious! Hot Americano with milk rounded out the order, service was spectacular via Amelia and Hannah! On my way out, I purchased an empanada for later. Overall, a cozy hangout with books, comfy chairs and mellow atmosphere. read more
Came here for lunch with two of my friends on a Saturday afternoon. It's super cute and there were a good amount of spacious tables. You order at the front and take a seat afterwards. When your food/drinks are ready, they will bring it to your table. I decided to go for their turkey club and an iced black sesame latte (seasonal). Their turkey club came with chips, salad, or fruit. I decided to get a salad with it. I also decided to get one of their rocky road scones to go. I loved the turkey club! It had thick slices of turkey that was tender. The flavor came together so well in the sandwich. The salad was fresh and came with a balsamic vinaigrette on the side. I did try the scone when I got home and it reminded me of a cookie. It was good but probably not my type of scone. The black sesame latte was also very good! The latte had that nice black sesame nuttiness flavor to it. I loved the ratio of coffee to milk in their latte -- it was nice and creamy. My friends also thoroughly enjoyed their food. They both said the yogurt parfait was absolutely delicious so I'll have to order that the next time we go. We loved everything about Leafs and Grounds. We are definitely coming back here for our brunch/lunches! read more

So glad I stumbled upon this spot I only had 30 min before my lunch break ended and the SB's I was headed to had a Disneyland style long drive thru line. So I kept driving and was going to hit 7-11(which I actually prefer over SB tbh) for some very affordable and solid coffee. As I was driving the coffee shop sign on the plaza kiosk caught my eye. So I swung in and decided to check em' out. So glad I did! The young lady behind the ciunyer greeted me w a smile and was as cool and chill as the vive of the whole place. She took my order-Americano, hot w ST vanilla and while she was prepping it I started to explore the shop. There was a variety of seating options. Beautiful high top counters w pub stools, standard square tables and large booth on the back side. Lots of art work that looked to possibly be local. Little pops of plants and candles here and there that created such a warm and welcoming feel throughout. As for my actual Americano, it was delicious! Not too bitter no acidic flavor and she added just the right amount of Americano and the flavor of their sugar-free vanilla syrup was delightful. Kim this morning for a coffee around 9 AM in the morning. First thing I did was read the rules on the door, then I looked in there and there was a big dog jumping all over the chairs and a group of people playing with the dog in the aisle, where the cash register is. so I really couldn't get through. I turned around and walked out. For all the rules that they have and they have a dog, jumping up and down around in there a big dog at that. I won't even bother with this place. There's too many good coffee places in the area. read more

I've been doing weekly hikes with my friend and we always stop for lunch afterwards. We happened upon this place and I'm so happy we did! It has become our regular post hike stop. I get the caprese toast and an ube latte every single time. It's so good I can't even try anything new. Heads up, they're not open on Mondays! The inside is small but we've always been able to find a table to sit at. The service is great too. I have no complaints! read more
Love this new coffee shop find. It's got its own unique flair and I love every bit of it. Coffee - delicious and flavorful. I love the boldness of the coffee. I've had the iced americano as well as the cappuccino and both were wonderful. Served in a beautiful cup (see photo). Service is wonderful as the barista and staff are so very kind. They warmly welcomed us in, walked us through the menu, and chatted with us. Love the ambiance as well. Beautiful space, great for catching up as well as studying. Plenty of parking spaces. I'd come here often if I lived in Vegas. read more

Had to come back to this review just to say we are still in love with Leafs and Grounds. Made sure to make it one of our first stops when back in town. The Chai (both regular and the summer special) were just as fantastic as before. The empanadas and danishes were amazing. Staff is always friendly and gives a great, calm environment to wind down and take the morning slow. Will continue to visit on other trips! read more
So me and my mother came here because we miss eating here. Honestly, we will most likely not be back. It was truly disappointing. I've never had a bad experience here. The drink strawberry Matcha wasn't all that either. It did not taste like water down Matcha to be honest with you the girl that usually makes the drinks when I come in was in the back cooking. The cook no longer works there which is a bummer. You can definitely see the difference in food, but that's OK. They gotta move forward which I completely understand. It's still really chill there to hang out, but the food quality is down dramatically in my opinion. They offered a new pasta salad, which we obviously wanted to taste. It does need salt. Usually everything is seasoned to perfection but this time it was not again that's OK. It is a place I will miss but I'm hoping to find another. Maybe will be back for the seasonal drinks if the other person is making them. There's one lady that makes every drink perfect. read more

This was an Australian restaurant previously so I was surprised it was gone but businesses can change at the stop of a dime. I wanted to grab a quick drink, a tea, so I stopped in. Decor looked the same as I recalled from the previous spot but that's ok. It's cute. They had a seasonal tree, Easter themed which was cute. I considered food but I wasn't real hungry and the prices were a little high but it's a local spot and inflation so I get it. I will definitely return for some scones. I had the hibiscus lemonade and it was so yummy! Very refreshing and naturally sweet from the lemonade so I appreciated that. It was great and I look forward to returning to try the scones. read more
I finally made it here. I've always wanted to try it since it opened. I used to frequent the old business that was here and was sorry to see them close. BUT...Leafs and Grounds is wonderful!!! It's got a really relaxed, chill ambiance with awesome music (mellow indie/alternative) that is not blaring through the speakers. I can see myself stopping by after work to do some catch up with a delicious beverage. The hubs and I stopped by since we had the odd day off together. What a great place to start the day. We got a scone and breakfast empanada. We saw some lukewarm reviews on the empanadas but decided to try it anyway. It was good!! Nice golden brown flaky pastry filled with sausage, eggs and potatoes. What's not to like? The other choice was bacon. I tried a lemon blueberry scone that had a proper crumble texture and was filled with whole blueberries and a bright lemon flavor. I would get that again! The drinks were very tasty as well. My hubs loves London Fogs and he enjoyed this one. You could taste the Earl Grey and there was a light vanilla sweetness to it. I decided to try the strawberry matcha from their Spring cafe menu. I would get this again as well. The bottom of the glass was filled with real strawberry purée and the top was matcha with oatmilk. The matcha is on point. It's a little grassy, but not bitter at all (the way I prefer it instead of presweetened weak matcha like some other coffee places serve). To sum it up...total win!!
