Cartsen revealed to me that my motherboard needed to replaced, due to water damage. This didn't come as a surprise. I spilled water on my 2015 MacBook Air in 2016, in which it finally blew out on me in August 2018... Cartsen gave me the option of ordering the part myself, so I did to save some coins (from Ebay). The part arrived, I dropped it off and he had my computer up in running like new! I believe it was just an overnighter. Once it was time for pick up, I met his lovely pup. I had to take my laptop back twice and it is still not fixed. I will not take it back a third time. The data (60gb) that was on her drive was important and was backed up to the new drive. At the time the drive was $100 and service $70. She returned a week later and complained her machine SLOW, not the same problem at all. She had downloaded an illegal version of Photoshop and there was a virus running on her machine using up $100% of her CPU. After running a virus scan the machine continued running 100%. We just happened to make a copy of her install on another used drive the week before. So we cloned it to ANOTHER NEW DRIVE and copied her 60gb of stuff over again. The computer was running fine. We did this while she waited 3 hrs, and she was happy. She was charged $30 for basically reloading the machine again RUSH SERVICE. 2 weeks later she emailed me about how we never fixed her machine. She sent pictures of a software she downloaded that said her machine was overheating and causing it to run slow. She felt changing the $29 FAN would fix this problem because she read it n Google. The same software showed her CPU running at 100% and memory at 100%, again she admitted to downloading the same illegal Photoshop and installing it from Pirate Bay. She felt that her computer running 100% had nothing to do with the overheating and slowing down computer. She would not listen to reason no matter how many times I tried to explain the cause and effect, she wouldn't listen and argued using bad language and finally making the above bad comment. This time James told me that he would come personally after his 1 pm meeting. No James. No call. I then found another company, ITsolutions2go. Mike sent an email that he received my message and would call soon. He did indeed call. He said that Sean would come the next day at 12:30 pm to do the repair. Sean showed up precisely at 12:30 pm. He completed the repair in a short time and then did some other work for me. The cost was about 60% of what the Netwise/Netlyphe was charging, but most importantly, they kept their word.
