My boxer was anxious and very reactive, but now he's noticeably calmer and much less reactive. It honestly feels like we have a new dog. Michael is truly the best. He's patient, knowledgeable, and always happy to walk us through any situation or question that comes up. You can tell he genuinely cares about both the dogs and their owners. I can't thank Michael enough! He's made a huge impact on our lives and completely changed the future for my dog. I'm so excited to see the progress we continue to make!

I want to start by saying the trainer we had Michael is a kind and responsive person. You can tell…read morehe really cares about dogs and takes his work seriously, which I truly respect! We spent over $1,000 hoping to improve our dogs' reactivity issues. We followed the homework that was given to us, stayed consistent, and while there was some minor progress, we eventually hit a wall. The BAH method is the foundation of their training approach, and while it might work for others, it just didn't lead to the results we needed unfortunately. What made it more disappointing for us is that even though the company offers lifetime support, it didn't feel like there was anything drastically new or helpful to move us forward after a certain point. Again, I commend for the trainer for trying his best and truly caring, but we hit a wall. We were basically told we were doing everything right, but the problem still wasn't getting better. This review isn't meant to discredit the trainer or the business. I'm sure he's helped many other clients successfully. Unfortunately, in our case, it didn't live up to expectations given the cost and the goals we had. Sidenote: I'm not looking for a debate or follow-up--just sharing my personal experience in case it helps someone else make an informed decision.

Jeremy is a amazing trainer... we adopted a two year old black lab this past March. She had lived…read morewith four college girls and had zero training. She pulled on walks and chased trucks and other dogs.. it was terrible We knew she could be a great dog.. and now she is. She's a joy to walk, goes to her place and does chase trucks.. thank you Jeremy our sweet Lady Vader is now a happy well behaved family member

My boyfriend and I had done some research and we decided to seek Jeremy's help based on the reviews…read moreand his website. We were told that we would need to leave our Australian Shepherd with him for a couple of weeks and would not be able to visit him during that time. We didn't like that we would be completely in the dark about his training or how he was adjusting to being away from his family but we respected the rules. When our dog was brought back to us, he came back injured. We were told that it was just "hotspots" and that the electric shock necklace was only used sparingly. I took my dog immediately to the doctor. I was advised these were not hotspots. See the pictures attached, they speak for themselves. My dog learned a couple new tricks but training with Jeremy did not help with his fear of people. My Aussie came back with his same fear of people and was returned with these terrible injuries. If other people had a good experience, that's wonderful. But not getting any kind of detailed update, pictures or even visitation to see the training process and progress and how my dog was acclimating was not well received. Setting aside that this is a dog training program, I don't know who would ever purchase an item or a service sight unseen or untested and with little to no in depth information. As an aside, I did call to report the business to various agencies. I was advised at the time that there had been previous reports and pending reports (they could not provide me with information due to ongoing investigation). I don't know what that means, it could be nothing but I think that this information should be given to potential new clients just for the sake of making informed decisions. We ended up taking him to someone else (Teka Martin with K9 toddlers) and our Aussie is much better now about his fear of people. Lastly, I'd like to preemptively say, please do not contact me to harass me about my review. A review is a review. It is a forum for people to be able to make informed decisions. I am giving an account of strictly what was personally known to me, any discussions I had with a Jeremy's team and my observations. Nothing more or less. I can't opine as to what I think of Jeremy's methods. All I know is it was not for us and our dog came back home injured.

We are so stoked we found Dog Genie! My boyfriend and I…read moreweren't the most knowledgeable about dog training in the slightest since it had been years since we had our own dogs. We brought our one and half-year-old pup, Lasso, to Genie's group classes, and what we got out of it was invaluable. Not only do we have the tools/skills to keep up with training him at home, but going to the classes themselves were so much fun. I really appreciated the energy of everyone in the class, and of course, our leader Genie was just awesome. So kind, helpful, and overall a good time. Lucy, you rock too! I am thankful to have had a pro guiding us, giving tips as we practiced in class, and making it feel so much easier to work on training during our own time. Very much hoping we get to run into Genie again and keep up with getting Lasso into tip-top shape. He's gonna be the best-behaved pup after all of this. Thank you, Genie! You're rad! P.S. Lasso sends lots of happy tail wags :)

I consider meeting Genie, a great blessing in my life, and I would highly recommend her as a dog trainer. Genie is a generous, professional, trustworthy, caring, talented person! Thank you, Genie!

Even after a 9 day boarding stay, my velcro dog couldn't wait to go back for daycare the next week to play with his friends. They always come back tired and happy.

I was charged $53.00 For a false fee …read more I called the manager Diana to complain about it and ask for a refund. The manager called me and didn't want to have the owners call me to let them know my experience so instead of doing that she now won't let my dog come to Doggin around anymore ? This was after a serious heart attack I had and boarding the dog for six days and paying full price They then charged a full day price for picking up the dog after her bath at 3 PM and here's the response I got from the company manager Diana. I would hope the owners would call to find out what's going on in there doggy daycare. Diana should really be fired. I wanted to follow up regarding our conversation and your review. I was disappointed to read some of the statements made about me and our team, as I feel they do not accurately reflect the conversation or the steps I took to address your concerns. When you brought the late pickup fee to my attention, I listened to your concerns and credited the fee back to your account as a resolution. I also attempted to explain the policy behind your concerns, not to dismiss them, but to provide context. My goal was to have a respectful conversation and find a solution. I was very much in disbelief of the concerns, and I respectfully told you, they're concerns that have not been brought up by many. But those are your concerns and feelings and I respect that and I gave you space to express them. During our call, I felt that the conversation shifted from addressing the concern into criticism of my intentions and my role as a manager. I took a moment to process what you were sharing because I wanted to respond professionally rather than react emotionally. I respect that you have the right to share your experience and request further review from ownership. Your additional concerns will be communicated to them. However, after reviewing the situation, we, along with ownership, have decided that continuing a business relationship is no longer the right fit, and you and your pets are no longer eligible for services at Doggin' Around or any affiliated facilities. Regarding your payments, any transaction made today will be voided. For any prior charges that require a refund, please come into the facility with the card used for payment so we can process that refund. I'm sorry that after four years this is where we have arrived, but we believe this decision is the best path forward.
