Veronique is a true dog whisperer. We did six lessons with our 1 year old puppy who had leash aggression issues. Stella is now under control when walking and we have less anxiety. The lessons included basic commands to develop good behavior and manners. We truly recommend Veronique to train your dog. read more

Veronique is amazing and my dogs love her and my dogs are much better. I can now walk my dogs without the prong collar.

We enjoyed two levels of basic manners group classes. We learned a lot! Sit, stay, come, leave it, drop it, loose leash walking. :)

We moved to Ventura from a house with a yard to a condo without one, and our French Bulldog, Lorenzo, really struggled with the transition. He started acting out on walks, clearly stressed and unhappy--and that took a toll on all of us. It even made it hard to enjoy our new surroundings. Then we had a training session with Veronique, and everything changed. Lorenzo opened up in a way we hadn't seen before. He's now so much better on his walks, more relaxed, and noticeably happier overall. We were given clear, practical tools to help him succeed--not just on walks, but in his interactions with other dogs too. This training truly helped lift the emotional weight Lorenzo had been carrying and made a huge difference for our family. We're so grateful. I absolutely recommend this service to anyone who wants to better understand and support their dog. read more

We needed help with all aspects of early training for our new puppy. Veronique was an excellent trainer in having our puppy listen to commands. She is very much hands-on and explains all aspects of the training exercises. Our puppy is now taking commands, and we appreciate the work from Veronique. We look forward to additional training with Veronique in the future. Thanks so much for your expert help! Shelly B read more

With full knowledge, we adopted a 2 1/2 year old shelter female German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois who had resided at the Camarillo shelter for over 120 days. She (Mochi) came with a history of poor socialization and "nipping" at people. Although my wife and I had previously owned two other shelter German Shepherds and other shelter dogs along with cats, birds, rats, hamsters, and a pet goat, Mochi came with challenges we had never faced. For six months Veronique has been working with us privately to alter Mochi's behavior. Because of Veronique, Mochi has made great strides in her behavior. We don't know if Mochi will ever be completely "normal"--if there is such a thing--but she is a changed dog. Everyone who knew Mochi from before has commented on that. Veronique is truly the "dog whisperer". She understands a dog's mind better than anyone we have ever met. She always treats dogs with compassion and works her magic with positive reinforcement. We have continued Mochi's training with Veronique on a bimonthly basis because of the continuing value we see in having Veronique as an advisor. read more

Veronique is such a wonderful trainer and human being! We needed guidance and support with our beautiful Staffy Sasha, whom we adopted from the shelter. Sasha is such a kind, highly energetic and emotional girl. The apple of our eyes! Sasha is amazing with us at home, and still had such anxiety toward other dogs. And very happily hyper around new humans. We dreamed of walking with her out in the world, but especially helping her feel more and more free, calm and guided. Veronique taught us many wonderful commands, games and gentle, wise interactions with Sasha. We apply them each day. Sasha loves them and we see constant progress. Veronique's training is always kind and positive. It's about consistency, small rewards and unconditional love. Thank you so much, Veronique. We look forward to working with you in the future. You've been a gem to us all. Julia, Vlad, Zhenya, Toshi, Grandpapa read more

We just finished working with Veronique Pineau of Sixpaws Dog School on our mixed bull terrier that we got 3 months ago from the Pasadena Humane Society. While he had no physical issues he certainly has some emotional issues that come out with extreme pulling and being over aggressive with other dogs. Veronique did a great job in getting him, Chance, calmed down and much more attentive. I can take him out now for walks where before Veronique worked with him that was impossible. He pays a lot more attention to us now and responds to simple commands like "sit" and "come". We would highly recommend using the services of Sixpaws Dog School. Thank you Veronique. read more

Veronique is amazing! We got a seven week old puppy and had no idea how potty train or teach good behaviors. Having Veronique come to our home was invaluable. She was also constantly available to answer all of our questions by text. As our puppy has gotten older, she offered practical and age appropriate training for our puppy and senior dog. Highly recommend! read more

We needed help with our new puppy, Veronique came to the rescue! She was very helpful and knowledgeable, thank you Veronique!

AMAZED by the difference I saw in my dogs after we worked with Veronique! I have 2 four year old huskies and was skeptical about training them past the puppy stage. I wasn't sure how receptive they would be, especially because one wasn't very food focused. After a couple sessions with Veronique, I couldn't believe the difference! Now on walks they're attuned to me and listening for direction instead of trying to lead the walk on their own! They sit and wait before crossing the road, which is a major improvement because before they would pull me into the street. They even understand let's go LEFT vs RIGHT, which was shocking! Veronique paid special attention to their very different personalities and figured out what was best for them. If you're looking into dog training I 100% recommend Veronique. She's patient and kind and my dogs love her! Well worth the investment (which is a good price in comparison to other options!!) read more

Veronique has been AMAZING to work with! We adopted a "Golden Shepard" mix that was ridden with anxiety last December. Not quite knowing what we got ourselves into, we were definitely overwhelmed. Veronique paid special attention to our training goals and the specific items we wanted to improve immediately. She helped create a custom training plan and after 10 at-home sessions, we are proud to say our pup is a whole new dog. Veronique is the absolute best. read more

A+++ For Veronique!! We had tried a previous trainer who approached the situation as if all dogs are the same and all dogs are trained in the same way. The previous trainer felt militaristic and got us nowhere. Veronique is very special and here is why. Veronique spent time to learn the personality of our little dog. Our dog is a rescue dog with a lot of fears. With Veronique's help we were able to learn when to be patient with our dog and give her some slack, to realize trying to force certain behaviors on our dog was getting us nowhere, maybe making things worse. We have more work to do with our dog and with Veronique's help. But for now, I wanted to let you dog owners know how patient and insightful Veronique is. Plus she is a very warm person and a pleasure to be around. Try her, I think you will be pleased. Gene read more

Veronique helped me with my 10 year old chiweenie to address her biting around food and aggressively barking outside and when people came to the door. Veronique walked us through some good tools which were progressively learned week to week. we committed to the practice and had great success! Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks? You sure can! Veronique is professional. she writes out goals and the homework. She is timely and stays on track with what you're trying to accomplish. We are very thankful for her help! read more

We love working with Veronique! She has a patient and gentle approach both with our dog and with us. She taught us a series of commands and techniques of course, but it was really much more than that. By sharing insight into why dogs might do certain things, she helped us learn how to pay better attention to our pup and apply those commands and techniques in useful scenarios outside of a practice session. It's not an exaggeration to say that we live a more harmonious life thanks to Veronique. read more

My husband and I booked several sessions with Veronique to help us with our high energy, at times somewhat stubborn/dominate but oh so wonderful rescue pup, Sherman. Veronique was extremely helpful in helping us get back to the basics with commands, setting boundaries and helping him (and us) understand our roles in the family. Sherman listens much better now and we understand him better. I would highly encourage contacting Veronique for assistance. She's kind, easy to work with and has a very calm demeanor and has an obvious connection and understanding of all types of dogs. read more

Veronique is such a pleasure to work with! We made so much progress with our German Shepherd thanks to Veronique and the training plan she created for him. He had social anxieties and we were unable to take him on walks around the neighborhood. He responded very well to Veronique and we can now walk him daily. We continue to use her methods daily and his behavior has improved beyond our expectations! She really excels at reading dogs and interpreting what motivates their behavior. Looking forward to working with her in the future! read more

Veronique has been working with my 8 month old GSD mix, Sully. I am very grateful to have connected with her, as she is excellent. Sully thinks she is pretty great as well! Veronique utilizes positive reinforcement training, and personalizes her approach and areas of training to both the dog's needs as well as the owner's. We have been working on basic commands, building a vocabulary for Sully, walk etiquette and safety, and nosework and sight games that keep Sully stimulated and entertained. Veronique provides notes and handy reference cards to use between sessions-I find the cards very helpful. When I decided to begin training with Sully, my priority was to educate myself and have the tools in place to help Sully thrive and be safe. Veronique understands and strives for this as well. Training is a lifelong commitment, and when we need to brush up our skills or approach a new issue, I will not hesitate to contact Veronique. Highly recommended! read more

I was a little concerned when the guy on Dogs 101 said that if you don't train your chihuahua as a puppy you're probably in for an up hill battle. But Veronique assured me all was not lost. In one private session she taught me how to walk him properly and already the pulling is better, and the "bricking" (when he gets scared or interested in something and just stops and turns into a brick) has almost stopped. He also learned to sit in one lesson! There are some very simple techniques that I now know that will help Buddy and us have a much better relationship. Thank you Veronique! read more

I cannot say enough about Veronique, she has been training our little yorkie for several weeks now. She is so gentle handling my little Sophie. And can captivate the most wiggly puppy and make them attentive. Veronique takes her time explaining how Dogs think and respond to training and has aided us in training Sophie with ease and Success!! Veronique is a certified dog trainer with an exceptional education backing her. She is very personable and professional, and you can tell how much she enjoys her profession. My husband and I Highly recommend her for dog training. Thank you Veronique for Sophie's continued success learning commands, we will carry and implement the training technique and principles you have shown us. Looking forward to our next training day :) read more

We took Veronique's class and HIGHLY recommend it. She is very gentle and patient and her techniques are very effective. We had rescued a dog and he was a stray with bad manners and no training. Within 5 weeks he was walking on a loose leash, he knew sit, stay, come and we were working on "leave it". It was all about positive reinforcement, which I really liked. Definitely check her out! read more

I have nothing but positive things to say about Veronique and Six Paws Dog School. She came to help me out with my Luna, my 11 month old German Shepard. Luna had issues at barking at people when the doorbell would ring and not run to the door. In addition, Luna would go after bicyclists and runners trying to sniff them. Veronique showed me how to control Luna with positive reinstatement. After a the second visit Luna would sit and stay when the door rang. She stop going after bicyclists and runners and is good al loose leash walking. Veronique gave me great advice and tips to keep Luna improving. Would recommend Six Paws Dog School to anyone. read more

Love Veronique! My Yorkies love her too. I have learned so much. One Yorkie thrives off of learning and the other likes to "challenge" but is coming around. I had potty training issues, barking issues, not getting them to obey, and anxiety issues. I have learned various techniques and they are learning! YES!!! They are learning. It is taking some time since they are not puppies but there is hope! I am so thankful to have found her! read more

We had done "puppy classes" with our young German shepherd/Malinois mix "baby"...he knew sit, and some other basics but we had trouble controlling him when he was very excited. He jumped on people including us and small kids. Veronique gave us much more insight into "doggie thinking" and we have learned how to cue him and calm him down. We really enjoyed our lessons and learned so much. Thank you, Veronique!! We will refer anyone who asks! read more

Veronique is a miracle worker! We love our dog Curry but being a rescue she of course had her issues. She would not stop barking at other dogs while she was on leash and a group training class used to be out of the question. With the help of Veronique I truly believe Curry is the well behaved pup she knew she could be, no more barking on leash! Not only that but she built so much trust between me and my dog. read more

I'm the pet parent to a 9 month old Cane Corso, and she was a great dog before we started training at SixPaws Dog School, with the owner Veronique. Now she's an even better pup, which I didn't think was possible, but after only 4 sessions, Sofia has TRULY learned 3-4 new words (commands), and we use them on a daily basis! As a first time dog daddy, I found out that it was me that really needed more training than the dog, and Veronique tells it like it is.....no sugar coating. She's undergone extensive training with dogs in Europe, where a lot more places are dog friendly compared to the U.S., so this means that both new owners and trainers undergo very intense schooling before either party can own a dog, or be involved with the art of dog training. The education my dog received was initially a gift from family members that purchased 4 private lessons for Sofia and I. Veronique was not only able to cater to my busy schedule, but her "keep it simple, stupid" techniques, calm yet firm demeanor made training easy, and made a huge difference after just one lesson. A lot of it is common sense here people, but as dog owners we tend to forget certain things, or simply don't know them from the start. Veronique will handle all of that, and the results will be mind blowing! Your dog will thank you with plenty of "smiles", and a lot of wet kisses. Thank you Veronique! Sofia and I will see you next week. read more

We took our German Shepard to Veronique's Basic Training Class. It was the perfect setting to work on some basic skills with our pup. The class met only an hour a week at local park in Ventura. Veronique has a very simple yet effective training plan to lay a great foundation. Our dog is a much better listener even with ditractions. The class size is small so you can get a lot of attention from Veronique. The dogs in our class were of all levels and sizes. I recommend you check her classes! read more

Veronique is GREAT to work with! She understood our situation and worked with us on an individual level and in a group setting. We have a mini-Aussie that has learned some invaluable lessons (or rather-- we learned how to communicate the lessons to her) from our time with Veronique. First, we enrolled in the basic training class and then after a few months followed up with individual training classes to hone in on a few final things. Veronique came to our house and really helped us learn how to communicate with our pup. She's given us the confidence to continue teaching her new things and the technique on how to do it in an effective manner. We would definitely recommend her services! read more

Veronique recently came to our home to help us with our four rambunctious dogs. She has a lovely demeanor, and the dogs really loved her. She gave us good input about what might be motivating our dogs naughty behavior. Veronique uses the positive reinforcement method, which we believe in 100%. We're looking forward to taking group classes w/ Veronique in the future. read more

My yappy little dog has calmed down remarkably after only one private lesson. My neighbors and I appreciate Veronique's expertise.

We had the good fortune of having Veronique train our two Goldendoodle puppies! I cannot believe how she turned them around from wild, non obedient babies to still wild (they are puppies) but mind us always!! What a difference she made!! read more
