I moved to Oxnard at the beginning of the year and brought my cat with me. When I've gone out of town, I've relied on my boyfriend's co-workers or the next door neighbor to take care of my cat. But I always felt uncomfortable asking and felt like it was an imposition. Especially since I wanted my cat let out in the morning and let back in in the evening. I finally searched for a pet sitter and called Briana based on her yelp reviews. I knew it was a good move when I first met her. She was pleasant and very professional. She asked all kinds of specific questions so I could tell she had a lot of experience. My cat is 16 and has gotten quite vocal lately. If I come home and she's feeling neglected, she lets me know! This time, I came home and she was perfectly happy! In fact, I've never seen her so content after I've been gone. Briana spent a half hour giving her love and attention twice a day. She even left a very sweet note telling me how her experience was with my cat while I was gone. It is such a relief to have found Briana and Prancing Paws! Thank you soooo much Briana and Prancing Paws!!! My husband and I, along with our two kitties, moved to Oxnard last summer. Not wanting to impose on our new friends and neighbors out here, we decided to give Prancing Paws a try after reading the great reviews on Yelp. We recently went out of town, for a total of 14 days, and were very nervous to leave our kitties home alone. From the initial intake visit, Briana and her co-worker were very professional and genuine in their regard for animals. Briana sent us email updates every few days as to how our kitties were doing-something I very much appreciated. Not only did she check our mail, but when we realized we were out of catbox liners the night before our plane took off, Briana was sweet enough to get us liners from the store- so sweet. Briana was always on time when we needed to meet- a great quality in a business. She was very friendly and did a wonderful job of keeping us informed and our kitties fed and taken care of. Absolutely thrilled with the care and attention Briana and Cathy gave to my fur kids while I was out of town for two weeks. I chose PP because they had more experience with cats but the ladies were excited to learn what it's like to walk a cat who's leash trained. They came to visit us ahead of time to learn where everything was, and to see the daily routine the kids are used to. They embraced the idea of taking a big cat out for daily walks and jumped right in! Neighbors who saw both of them with the fur kids told me later how attentive, gentle and patient they were with them both and that means a lot to me...having their care corroborated by people who don't know them, but who know me. They gave them their supplements and meds on schedule, fed/watered/walked, took care of litter box duty and spent play and snuggle time with both kids so they didn't feel abandoned and alone. The girls sent daily text updates after each day's final visit, and included pics of the kids so I could see how they were doing. Little things that make being apart from them that much more reassuring and relaxing for nervous pet Moms. I won't hesitate to call them again in the future for pet care when I travel. It's such a relief to know your babies are in loving and capable hands when you can't be there.
