I was looking for an affordable groomer in the area for my chiweenie Salem. I found a pet affaire! I love this groomer. The last time I brought in Salem, she was recovering from an ear infection. Justin explained to me how to properly clean her ears post infection so it doesn't happen again. I really appreciated it. Another time we had her scheduled for a bath and she got diarrhea the morning of. I called Justin and told him, he told me to give bee pedialite. I feel he is very caring about animals just based on the encounters we've had. I am extremely cautious of where I take my pets for grooming but I do trust them! I happen to stumble across this groomer while my car was getting worked on. I was shocked and excited to have found a groomer so close to my house that grooms cats! It was very quick and easy to make my appt. The owner was very kind to me over the phone and took 10 minutes out of his day to answer any questions I had. Thanks, Justin! Week day appts are readily available. If you want a Saturday appt, you'll probably have to wait a couple weeks because they naturally fill up pretty quickly. I have gotten my cat groomed many times and this is by far the NICEST grooming job he's ever gotten! I'm very happy with their services. Their prices are really reasonable too. For "the works" which is a clean up, bath, and hair cut it was $85. The bandana they put on your pet is such a cute touch too. Thanks again! Tip for cat owners: give your cat some sort of calming aid before drop off. That's a good thing to do regardless for grooming, but considering there are lots of dogs getting groomed in there, there can be lots of loud barking your kitty will have to be around for a couple hours. Keep in mind that if your cat is extremely anxious and not used to dogs, this might be a very stressful environment for them. read more

A great little grooming spot nestled in, of all places, an industrial area. While the location may seem a bit odd, A Pet Affaire does amazing work. Before I brought one of my kittens here I spoke with one of the owners using the Yelp chat. They were very great at offering services and providing accurate pricing. I was even able to set up an appointment for the same day! A Pet Affaire has varying options of what grooming can be done with prices that beat their competition. Not only are their prices awesome, but so is their work. They were able to give one of my kittens a much needed trim and bath. I was nervous leaving her there as she has never had any grooming done so she may have been frightened but the staff at A Pet Affaire handled her with care. When I picked her up shortly thereafter she was calm and looking great with a little heart bandana too! I will be taking my pets here from now on! read more

So I tried to schedule an appointment for my dogs with this groomer and they discriminated against my dogs for being old! They said they are not emergency services in case something happens to my dogs. Seriously?!? That's like me not going anywhere in case I have heart failure or a seizure because anywhere I go is not going to have emergency services. My dogs have been groomed all their lives and I have never had anyone tell me this. And then the guy tries to make me feel bad by saying "we're on the dogs' side". Really?!? So if I let my old dogs pass naturally, I'm a bad mom? This place is a joke. Update: I pay thousands of dollars for my dogs to be seen and be well taken care of by their vet. I would like to give them the integrity of living out their lives CLEAN. This is NOT not caring for your dogs. What a pathetic excuse of a response. And so unprofessional to talk crap when you're doing something wrong. There is a class action lawsuit with Petco for this very reason. You should close your doors in case you get too sensitive for an issue with a living being! Dear God! What a terrifying life you live! I know my dogs will pass away. That's part of life. Sorry I'm realistic. Why not give them the dignity of dying clean and comfortable? And obviously this guy didn't listen well. My dogs aren't "15 and 17". One just turned 15, 2 days ago and the other is 13. My recent dog groomer retired so that's why I'm looking for someone new. And who said my dogs only have "months" to live? Is that what your magic 8 ball said? Go to this guy if you want to argue with a lunatic that will try to make you feel bad about their poor little feelings. The vet was doing tests to figure out what was going on. I had her in to Pet Afaire & when I picked her up they got all snotty & told me they couldn't see her anymore. That I needed to have a mobile groomer. Seems to me I was judged unfairly. Never said anything , just felt bad until I referred a pet affaire to someone else recently & she had the same thing happen & same feeling of being judged.
