I was looking for an affordable groomer in the area for my chiweenie Salem. I found a pet affaire! I love this groomer. The last time I brought in Salem, she was recovering from an ear infection. Justin explained to me how to properly clean her ears post infection so it doesn't happen again. I really appreciated it. Another time we had her scheduled for a bath and she got diarrhea the morning of. I called Justin and told him, he told me to give bee pedialite. I feel he is very caring about animals just based on the encounters we've had. I am extremely cautious of where I take my pets for grooming but I do trust them! I recently brought my kitten, I like how they offer that too. It's hard to find locations who will groom a cat. This service is amazing and they are quick too! Thank you
Took my puppy to get his first professional grooming. His hair was covering his eyes and he looked pretty scraggly. When I went to the shop, everyone was so nice and sweet to him (he was shaking and scared because he's my Velcro dog). They asked what I wanted, and I described to them. They even called me a bit later to re-verify how I wanted his legs cut. I couldn't be happier with the haircut. They did exactly what I asked for and my pup looks so handsome. Will definitely be back.
I'm glad to have found this place! So far I've taken my cat twice. Each time my sweet furry friend has looked so handsome and clean and fresh! He's been so calm after his bath and cut. Based on his demeanor, I can see how skilled the groomer is, my cat has had a good experience each time, he was ready to play once I brought him home today. Will 100% be back again. Incredible customer service.
I happen to stumble across this groomer while my car was getting worked on. I was shocked and excited to have found a groomer so close to my house that grooms cats! It was very quick and easy to make my appt. The owner was very kind to me over the phone and took 10 minutes out of his day to answer any questions I had. Thanks, Justin! Week day appts are readily available. If you want a Saturday appt, you'll probably have to wait a couple weeks because they naturally fill up pretty quickly. I have gotten my cat groomed many times and this is by far the NICEST grooming job he's ever gotten! I'm very happy with their services. Their prices are really reasonable too. For "the works" which is a clean up, bath, and hair cut it was $85. The bandana they put on your pet is such a cute touch too. Thanks again! Tip for cat owners: give your cat some sort of calming aid before drop off. That's a good thing to do regardless for grooming, but considering there are lots of dogs getting groomed in there, there can be lots of loud barking your kitty will have to be around for a couple hours. Keep in mind that if your cat is extremely anxious and not used to dogs, this might be a very stressful environment for them.

I'm a new dog owner. And I have two pups that are supposedly Shitzu mixed with Poodle (Shih-Poo). Fun and loving pups. This was the first time ever that I took them to a groomer. And honestly, I was worried because I didn't know how my pups would react. I searched and reviewed a lot of pet grooming places, and Pet Affaire caught my attention because of the great reviews they had. So I took them in today, and I am completely happy. The owners of the grooming place are knowledgeable and welcoming. They gave me tips on how to get my pups more familiar with grooming, but I'm so pleased with the results. I highly recommend! And I'm going to continue coming here for their grooming needs. read more

I took my 4 month old puppy for his first grooming. The owners were very professional and accommodating. They called me 20 minutes before they finished grooming my puppy and when I came he was ready and happily waiting for me. They took care of Coco like their own. I highly recommend A Pet Affaire. read more

I'm new at having to take a dog to a groomers and l believe I've found the BEST one around. Not only did they have time same day within the hour l called. My Howie was done in and hour. And upon pick up they helped me out with many questions for my dog from food to chin care (he's breaking out on his chin). I can't wait for when he's due again. Howie love it so much he didn't want to leave...see picture. read more

I've tried multiple groomers in the area and my search is over. Justin and Stacy are the best! They know how to handle dogs properly and I feel safe leaving my boy in their care. They do a fantastic job with nail dremeling and grooming. Really love that they use organic grooming products and the fact that I always feel a sense of calmness and tranquility whenever I walk inside their shop. They're friendly, professional and very helpful. I highly recommend A Pet Affaire!!! read more

They did such an amazing job with my pomchi. Around this time of the year she tends to become a fluffy, tangled mess. It's mainly my fault. I really need to keep up with her grooming. Which I definitely will now that I've found a groomer so close to home!! They did so great on her cut, it was a simple shave down but they made sure to be careful around her butt area because the last time I took her to get a shave (at a different groomer), she ended up with an irritation on her bottom that left her in a cone of shame for a month!!! After I left, I called back to ask if they accept credit cards (which they do, with a very minimal service charge) and they informed me that she did very well with the clippers around her head (the area where she gets mats). I gave a huge sigh of relief when I heard that since I'm always anxious about her nipping at someone's hands when they have clippers by her head. We'll definitely be back for more haircuts and grooming services for my dog!!! I highly recommend A Pet Affaire! Great prices, friendly people, awesome service!!!! read more

Justin and Stacy from Pet Affaire are the best!! Trust me you can't put a price on a good groomer who cares. I had a Maltese (Belle) who was my baby girl. I took her to PetSmart and when I dropped her off for grooming they put her in the top kennel without locking the door properly. My baby girl who was 7 years old but only 4 pounds leaned on the kennel door which was stacked 6 feet off the ground and the door opened and she fell head first. She was rushed to the hospital and was having seizures. 2 days later she was released from the hospital and PetSmart refused to pay for it. For the next 5 years she was in and out of the vet and on seizure medication which I had to pay for out of my pocket and costs thousands of dollars. My baby girl was never the same and suffered seizures for the rest of her life. Petsmart who claims to love pets did not care. After that whole experience Belle had at Petsmart she freaked out every time I took her to the groomer. Some groomers even refused to take her because she got nippy. I took her to Stacy and at first my baby girl was a little snippy but they told me how to work with her at home with the back end of a comb to get her familiar with it. My Belle wasn't easy but Stacy worked with me and eventually she got better. Stacy groomed her for the next 4 years until a one of her seizures took her to heaven. Stacy showed that she cared about Belle and I appreciated that and will be forever grateful to them. I now have a new 2 year old Yorkie (Gracie) that I just got and of course Stacy is grooming her too!!! read more

Porter had an excellent experience here. It was his first time being groomed and being of a large dog breed, I was a little concerned. To my surprise, Stacey and Justin said he was well behaved and calm during his grooming. They did a wonderful job and completed the task even under short time limits. Porter and I will certainly be back soon! read more

I would give 10 stars if I could. After paying $130 for Max's first grooming at Fet Charts, where he got smacked and cut up, we took him on his next one to Justin And Stacy at A Pet Affaire. Haven't and won't go anywhere else since. We now take both our rescues there and combined they are much less that Smet Farts. They do an awesome job, and even paint my little Coraline's nails. Also here is a picture of our foster Grandma Bridget fresh out of A Pet Affaire! read more

I had an amazing experience with the service here. The couple whom helped me which I believe are the owners went the extra mile to make sure I got the service I requested. Even though it was my cats first grooming experience they made sure he was well taken care off and calm throughout the whole process. Thank you for the service! I am definitely going to be one of the regulars here. read more

It's been so hard for me to find a local groomer who will put up with my baby, because let's face it, he's a psycho. They always do an AWESOME, quick job and are so accommodating to my special needs rescue. Not to mention he smells amazing and is officially allowed on my bed again! They will always have my business as long as I'm in VC! read more

I am extremely happy with my experience here that I had to write a review on the car ride home. Today I took my Dalmatian Pongo to get his gland done and some blue spots on his fur. Walking in my dog was very nervous, because he's never been to a groomer, and peed a little as the groomer Justin walked up to him. They were extremely professional about it and talked to my dog softly trying to calm him down. Which I really appreciated. Long story short my Pongo came out looking very cute and very happy. I'm so happy to find such a nice groomer in Oxnard and plan on many visits in the future. read more

Justin and Stacy are the best!!! My dog coco got groomed today and they did a wonderful job. I drive 2 hours from the LA area just to go get my puppy groomed here and the drive is totally worth it. They're super sweet with the animals and they do a great job for a really affordable price. They're also really knowledgeable on all the good stuff lots of good advice. Would definitely recommend. My puppy got "The Works" plus his teeth brushed for a Total of $55 (small dog) prices probably vary. And he got a cute bow & bandana and he smells really good. I love that they use all Organic Products. If you live in the Ventura/ Oxnard area definitely check them out!!!! read more

I normally travel all the way to Montrose to get my Standard Poodle groomed. However, I wanted to see if I could find a place here in Oxnard. Everything started out great. I thought I explained what I wanted and when they repeated it back I was sure we were on the same pages. However, when I picked her up she didn't look like a poodle anymore. They did a good job it was just the wrong haircut for a Standard poodle. I called back and asked if we can fix it, but I was told this was all my fault. I kept saying that I wasn't upset I just needed her cleaned up in the right places. The Gentleman was very unhappy about my request and did not want to help me out. read more
