Howevver we promptly returned the week after and immediately fell in love with the place. What an incredible experiance. First thing you notice is the size of the place. (Tiny) It genuinely feels like a hidden bar from the prohibition era with incredible decor and music that suits the Blues/Jazzy environment to perfection. Being here is like traveling back in time to the 20's when alcohol was illegal and small secret bars like these were littered across America. The theme is consistent with the menu hidden inside a book that's handed to you upon arrival. So mesmerized were we with the vibe and conversation the cocktail taste bud memories are hazy at best. Inside the tunes are a mix of electro swing and upbeat jazzy numbers. This bar is a really fun place to be and I imagine, as the night goes on, that it would be oh so easy to lose track of both time and cocktails. My band recently played music here as part of the Birmingham Jazz and Blues festival and it was really great to play in such a unique venue. Next time I'm in Birmingham, cocktails in Suds & Duds will surely be on my agenda!
