One of my friends had read good reviews about this place so we decided to check it out. When we arrived about 8:30pm we became hesitant when we saw only 2 customers in the place. We decided to give it a go anyways. I must say the waitress did not make us feel welcomed. It was almost like we were intruding up her ability to go home early. She threw the menus down on the table and ran off. It seemed like when she came back with settings and glasses the they were placed down a little extra hard also. She did not speak much english. We figured out why the restaurant was not busy. Fortunately, she did slowly warm up to us. At the end she was friendly. I was not very hungry so I only ordered the Onion soup. It was a good size portion and very tasty. One friend ordered the spinach lasagna which he enjoyed alot. They way he devoured the dish so quickly leads me to believe that it was excellent. He also had squash soup which he said was great. In fact, he mentioned the next night how much he enjoyed the soup. The other friend had a two tomato salads which he said was just okay. They were small in size so he had two. They did make the second salad a little larger for him.
I would give this place another try in hopes that we just caught the waitress on a bad day. It'll be awhile before that happens since there are so many places to check out in Paris. However, next time I'll be ready or even expect to be treated a little rudely when I walk in. If you ignore that part you should have a fine time. By the way, when we left around 10:00pm there were at least 20 customers. read more
