    Avocado with shrimp
    Ves S.

It's a lively place with happy hour drinks. It's pretty busy too, and only two people efficiently serving all tables on a Monday night 10p. Without looking on Yelp I ordered a large beer, an appetizer, and an entree. Total 35€. Based on the price I thought the avocado shrimp was small with a large cocktail shrimps but actually was a tasty filling salad with small shrimps. Table comes with some baguettes with balsamic vinegar and olive oil.

The food was decent and the location is great, but the service felt a bit slow and not very attentive. It was fine for a quick stop, but nothing memorable. Overall an average experience.

I loved this place so much that we came twice during our short 4 days stay in Paris!! I love the vibes!! I feel like there is a mix of locals and tourists here. There were a lot of people sitting outside having a good time!! The price is amazing given its prime tourist location right in the heart of Montmartre. 12 Euro for 12 snails which was an amazing deal!! I also loved my frites!! The servers we got both times were nice and cheerful.

This place was right up the street from where we were staying. We speak little french, but the server was so helpful and patient with us. Sitting outside, even on a cold day to watch the people walking by, is such a great experience. Also in this setting, it's nice to talk and meet locals and even tourists. And it was the first place we have ever tried French onion soup. Wow. It was amazing. We traveled around Paris and tried it at other places, no where compared. So flavorful and cheesy! My husband tried the garlic escargot, and said it was the best he's ever had. Such a nice place to rest after strolling through Montmartre!

We just stopped in for some afternoon cocktails before heading to our next tourist destination. We sat outside and ordered rose wine to share, and a coffee liquor cocktail that was huge. The wine was delicious and the cocktail was strong and smothered in delicious whip. Prices are reasonable for drinks. Service is fantastic. There is complimentary WiFi.

This was what was brought to us first when we ordered 2 of the breakfast specials. BE THERE BEFORE 11:59am!

I was very pleased with this restaurant or bar as it's locally known. So pleased that we can back a second day and had the breakfast special. An enormous amount of food set before us (not sure if it was just the small table). My wife an I left please and would recommend Le Chinon to anyone visiting des Abbesses. Prices we better than other locals and portions were generous.

Upon arrival, we were greeted and seated right away. This restaurant is really big. There's outdoor seating, and indoors on a first and second floor. As seen by my food pics, everything was delish. Our servers were Kylian and Marie-Alix, both of which were very friendly and attentive; having great servers just closes out a great experience. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We started with Oeufs mayonnaise, which is a hard boiled egg topped with mayo. This was quite a simple dish, but definitely got us prepped for the meal. They initially made a mistake on our order and sent us the veal fingers. After rectifying the mistake, they ended up comping it, so we got an additional appetizer to try. The fried fish went well with the tartar sauce. For the mains, we got the bavette frites with bearnaise sauce and steak tartare with frites. Both dishes were delicious and satisfying, the flavors were excellent and each bite had me wanting more. If you haven't tried tartare before, give it a try here because it was delish! For dessert, we shared the Paris-Brest, a choux pastry topped with mousseline, pralines and roasted hazelnuts. We enjoyed sharing it and it made for a sweet end to our dinner. Overall, this was a great meal to start our trip, everything we had was delicious and my expectations were met!

The staff was all very friendly and inviting and were happy to recommend their favorite dishes to us. My wife ordered a French onion soup and one of their famously large salads, which are served in these big bowls. I decided to try the chef's special, which was a beef tenderloin a la rossini (truffle sauce and foie gras). I'm not typically a foie gras fan, but I figured since we're in Paris that I'd give it a shot. I'm very glad I did because it was absolutely delicious. The steak melded perfectly with the truffle sauce and fois gras. This was all served with potatoes au gratin, and blanched green beans. Everything was perfect. I also ordered two large beers. A Grimbergin blonde and a Kronenbourg ale. I love how both beers were served in their respective brand's glasses. Such a nice touch. For dessert, we ordered an Apple Tarte Tartin, upon a recommendation from one of the staff. It was light, sweet, and served with some ice cream and créme fraîce. This was such a great dinner all around. Great food, great vibes, which all lead to a great evening. Would definitely recommend!

I admit, I'm not very adventurous with food and don't care for traditional French food, so I had the grilled salmon, which was delicious. My husband, who does enjoy traditional French food, had the cassoulet with beans, sausage, and duck confit. He absolutely LOVED his meal and said it was probably the best meal he had while in Paris. And to complete our meal, we finished off with crème brûlée -- yum! [Yelp collections: Europe 2024; Paris, France]

**EXCELLENT WINES AND SIMPLE RUSTIC FRENCH CUISINE**…read more Wonderfully friendly staff. Welcomed immediately with a glass of red wine. Very small restaurant. No tourists; only locals and repeat French customers. We sat outside. ORDERED: *FOIE GRAS House made and simply DIVINE on freshly toasted baguette bread. I wanted to take a bath in this. OMG! *DUCK CONFIT Beautiful leg served with scalloped potatoes. The meat could have been a bit more tender, but overall a good solid entree. *FRUIT TART Good, but not great. The pastry could have baked a bit longer. Loved the sweet plums though. We also ordered a bottle of their excellent Cabernet France for 17 euros. My darling didn't care for their espresso and I was not impressed with their version of a cappuccino. Dinner altogether was 73 euros. OTHER NOTES ============= Some of their staff members are from Le Mascote restaurant, but since the restaurant is currently closed; they cooked and served here. Same quality of food; cheaper in price. HIGHLY RECOMMEND the wine, foie gras, and any seafood dish. They have great daily specials.

The menu consists of typical French fare with your duck confit and your steak tartar etc. The wine is sold by volume and all priced at the same rate. Bulk of the other clientele consists of local repeat customers, as we saw a lot of them greeting the bar tender affectionately. For lunch, we had the duck confit and the Lyon sausages (one of the day's specials). The waiter recommended a strong red wine to go with the duck and a lighter, younger chilled red to go with the sausages. He hit it spot on in terms of the pairing. Both main courses were simple and delicious. We ended our meal with wonderful house-made chocolate mousse. Having stumbled onto this little place on the last day of our week long trip in Paris, we were pleasantly surprised with our wonderful experience at Le Colibri. Simple and authentic, this is definitely our favourite place to eat in Paris.
