This is a solid breakfast spot! We tried it for the second time today, and were pleased with the food and service. The menu has choices ranging from small to hefty portions. I've now had the Mini Greek Goddess (lite) omelette and the (seasonal) Frittata. Both were good choices. I can't rave about the regular pancakes - my taste buds didn't detect any flavor. The walnut banana pancakes do have a good flavor. This hasn't topped our favorite breakfast place, but it's a dependable option. Give them a try for yourself! read more

The place is easy to locate and cute but I wasn't impressed with their food. I ordered an omelet with chicken and I think the chicken was from a can. It was so gross and way too chewy. I wouldn't come back. Our waiter was super nice but the hostess looked at us about 5 times, walked away, and then finally took us to our table without a word. Looking for a breakfast spot nearby our hotel and decided to check this out based on reviews. All around a very good breakfast. Known for their French toast and it did not disappoint. Eggs were cooked perfectly and overall I was satisfied with my meal. I honestly didn't realize how good their French toast was until I was done eating it. Returned here again for breakfast this past Saturday. I don't know why I continue to return here as every time it puts me in a terrible mood. Upon arrival there is always a wait with several tables open. Don't mention that because they get very offended and claim its due to lack of waitstaff. If Sunday mornings are always busy then I would suggest more waitstaff to accommodate customers. The food is fair but I would suggest going there at least one hour before you're hungry. read more

The food was OK, mostly because I was starving (my date concurred). Service was meh, our waitress was friendly, but they were very busy, and the food took a long time and came out lukewarm. That experience was great! Was shown great hospitality. I showed up 1 1/2 hours early for a breakfast meeting. Was given a huge pot of coffee, carafe of water, and left alone to work and wait. A couple of our friends invited us to Saturday brunch to La Peep. I got the Greek goddess omelette and it was average. The mister got a huveros rancheros & it absolutely sucked! Pricey, but more food than you would expect. One of the only brunch places in Irving, or at least one of the most well-known. Fresh squeezed orange juice is great! They have many special diet considerations and a heart healthy menu. Depending on the weather, ask to sit on the patio! Nice view. read more

Out In Irving visiting for the weekend, I decided to check this spot out for brunch with a friend. Seem like a nice atmosphere with people dressed. I think most people are coming back from church, while i was just waking up hungover from the previous nite. my friend just moved to Irving from Boston so that was her first time there too. The server was nice and food came out hot in a timely manner. There was no hot chocolate available, which was a huge shocker for me . Big fan of the White Lightning, an egg white omelet with chicken, green chilies, (hold the onions) and cheese, served with avocado slices and salsa. Good peasant potatoes and whole grain english muffin. Really don't like too many other things on the menu except the granola pancakes. Gets crowded and hectic on Sundays. Lots of regulars. I came here for my sister's bday and we asked for vegetarian omelettes but got meat in it even after notifying them about our dietary restrictions. From the moment you see it you know it will probably be good. Small, located in the corner of a respectable looking strip mall, it has a story book feel and ambiance. The service was fast for the amount of people that were there, and the food was very good. I had the cinnamonster, which was piping hot, and loaded with frosting. I also had the loaded French toast, a treat that I had never had before, and one which will probably be my go-to from now on. The potatoes were a little cold by the time I started to eat them, but everything can't be perfect. All-in-all really good food and service for a decent price. read more

For what it is- a quaint, busy place to have breakfast or brunch- it's really good. Everything's hot and tasty, and it's cheap. The atmosphere is very laid back, and the service is directly proportional to the amount of people in the building- lots, you may have to remind the server twice for a to go box; few, you may get a box on the first try. But this is all forgiveable if you've ever been to ihop or dennys. The food, in my opinion is better, and the hostess and cashier are always very pleasant and apologetic about the wait. I've never been on a weekday morning, but on a weekend, call ahead before arriving. With few places to stand or sit to wait, and with as busy as it gets, you'll be glad you did. read more

I had such an amazing experience at Le Peep over the weekend! Not only was the food amazingly delicious (I had an omelet and the nutella crepe while my boyfriend had waffles and other sides) but the staff was so courteous! Doyle, our waiter, was friendly and helpful and had great timing. I didn't catch the name of the girl who we took our checks to, but she was great as well! I am recommending this restaurant to everyone I know and will surely be returning soon. The negative complaints I am seeing on this thread of reviews are just to trivial and ridiculous. They seem to be written by people who are incredibly pessimistic and judgemental. Nothing pleases anyone anymore! However, I can truly say that their food was DELICIOUS, best breakfast I have ever had (and I've had some amazing breakfasts, including home-cooked ones) and the service was just impeccable. read more

My husband and I went to Dallas for a long anniversary weekend trip and after reading some great reviews we went to Le Peep... twice. The first time I got the Peach and Pecan waffle and my husband the Sir Benedict Omelet, let me tell you this was delicious and the coffee (Texas Pecan) amazing! This sparked our second return. The second time I got eggs benedict and my hubs the Homestead with the Dark Roast. First off the eggs for the benedict were perfectly poached, I was disappointed with the ham and the hollandaise. It was ok but not great, I built up traditional EB and it just was not that at all, the sauce tasted like it was a mix. My husband liked his and had no complaints. The coffee was great as the first time. I recommend it to everyone, if you are a EB lover I suggest something else. Great service! Everyone was awesome!! read more

Bad GF menu... Poor service. Celiacs beware. Le Peep had removed gluten free pancakes from the menu. My wife loved the lumberjack breakfast there, which is still on the menu, but isn't available with pancakes. The manager attempted to talk my wife info the waffles, and when she asked if she could get the lumberjack with waffles, she was informed that there would be an upcharge. Talk about adding insult to injury! This is the 2nd of 3 times we've had poor service here, and we won't be back. The last visit was near their closing, and even though there were only 2 other people eating, it took them 20 minutes to just get our order. I so don't like being forgotten or ignored in the hopes that I'll leave. Just pass this place by. It's really gone downhill. read more

I eat here fairly often and it's always a good experience. It is always quick, friendly service and the food is very good. Today I had the Cajun Chicken sandwich with a side salad with honey lime dressing. The sandwich was very good but the highlight of the meal was the honey lime dressing. I hate getting extra food that I feel obligated to eat! I also like that they put a pot of coffee and carafe of water on your table... allows you to refill at your own pace.
