Loving this new(ish) location; they're in the same strip where Bosscat used to be and Eloise Nichols. That said, parking can be a bit of a challenge but there's street parking.

We enjoyed our delicious breakfast and turkey burger at La Peep. The food was delicious. The casual, welcoming atmosphere made it a great place to relax and enjoy good conversation without feeling rushed. Everything was delicious, and it's definitely a spot we'd be happy to visit again.

An Amazing First Taste of Texas! We just landed in Houston for the first time and Le Peep was our very first stop--what a great way to start the trip! I devoured the Daybreaker and my wife loved the Wanderer Skillet. Everything was seriously delicious; the eggs were cooked perfectly. We also ordered a side of pancakes to share, and it was MASSIVE. Fair warning: only get them if you have room, otherwise you're gonna end up taking the whole order home lol. I tried one of their coffee cocktails too, and it was the perfect jolt of energy to kick off the day. Awesome service, great vibes, and a fantastic meal. We'll definitely be back

The service definitely needs improvement. When we walked in, we were greeted with a cold and dry "hi" no smiles, no warmth from almost any of the employees . We were taken straight to our table without any effort to make us feel welcome. When the server arrived, it was more of the same, not a single smile or friendly gesture. When we asked about the kids drinks, she mentioned them vaguely and wasn't specific at all. When my sons plate got to the table it wasn't cleaned properly. He didn't like the pasta said it was bland. We used to visit Le Peep when it was located near Hotel Derek and always remembered the warm welcome and great service. Unfortunately, this experience didn't live up to that standard. The food and drinks were ok the restaurant was clean, but in my opinion, what really makes a restaurant stand out beyond just the food is the service. And in that area, this visit fell short. We probably wont be coming back.

Le Peep easily makes my list of top breakfast spots in Houston! My husband, brother and I were headed to NRG Centre for the Nutcracker Market and wanted to eat breakfast beforehand. We live in a more northern suburb of Houston, so we aren't very familiar with restaurants in the area. A quick google search led us here and I am so glad it did!! First, the restaurant is tucked away to where you may not notice it if you weren't looking for it. This made it not very busy for a Saturday which was a pleasant surprise. It is spacious and clean! The staff were all smiling and friendly. Our waiter, Fidel, was especially kind and made conversation with us while he was waiting on us. We really enjoyed his service and would recommend requesting to sit in his section if you visit. When you're seated, they bring you a carafe of water that is self-serve. I really appreciate that about this restaurant. There was a variety of menu options for both breakfast and lunch. It was so hard to decide what to order because everything looked good that was on the menu and on the trays of waiters passing by for other tables. I read a review about the granola pancakes and I'm kicking myself for not ordering them. A ton of tables we passed on our way out were eating them and they looked so good! I ordered the Omni omelet without veggies. It came with a side of breakfast potatoes that were the best I've ever had at a restaurant. Everything was seasoned so well, and my omelet was full of breakfast meats. It's a small thing, but they brought us each an individual side of ketchup for our potatoes instead of just having a community bottle on the table. My husband ordered the southern benedict, and my brother had the Lumberjack Breakfast with blueberry pancakes. We all took turns trying bites off each other's plates and I can say with confidence that every single thing was SO good. My brother was especially impressed with his blueberry pancakes because they also came with a blueberry syrup. I don't even like blueberries, and I'd have to agree that they were good! Overall, this is just a really great little cafe breakfast spot. We live 40 minutes away, but we all loved it so much we'll definitely make the drive to eat here again!

Last review 2011; and we've had some visits since in the new location. Once during Covid and we weren't pleased. ALMOST didn't go back this time, but we had a not so good time down the road at Katz's because of a menu change. Got a table right away; wait when we left. Coffee to start the morning. Truth is I love the granola pancakes. Don't eat sweets very often for breakfast but these are crunchy delights on a plate. Perhaps on bested by Snooze's creative flapjacks. Eggs were cooked to order; sausage was a little over done. GF was smitten with her choice of the "Cool" which paired eggs, chives, ham, and cream cheese. No complaints on the breakfast taters either. Well, looks like Le Peep is back on the breakfast rotation in Houston.

Looking for a casual breakfast spot and ended up coming to Le Peep off Westheimer. Soon as I walked in we were sat and the waitress came over with water. Ordered some hot tea and coffee while we glanced at the menu which had a lot of options. We ended up ordering the Health Nut and the LumberJack Breakfast. My friend mentioned The Health Nut was great. She substitute the smoked turkey with turkey bacon. I got the lumber jack breakfast and it was amazing. You may need to add a little salt/pepper on the eggs but they were cooked perfectly and the breakfast potatoes were great. The star of the show is the pancakes tho. Very light and fluffy pancakes with great flavor!!! I will be back to try more dishes!!!

The food was delicious, classic American diner experience. The service was great, and I would come here for breakfast again. Clean bathrooms, and nice layout.

4.5 stars if I could! Such a solid spot for classic American breakfast. The vibes are casual, comfortable, and cafe/diner-like, and it was exactly what we were looking for after a stressful morning. There's plenty of parking in the garage that is adjacent to the building. We were seated right away despite the restaurant having a busy morning, and our server was very nice. The Southern Benedict was amazing! Love that they top their dishes with almond and their side of apple slices make a nice treat. The Gooey Buns were also a nice treat - reminded me of a cinnamon roll topped with almond slices.

Checked out this place on Sunday morning. It was pretty busy at around 11 -12 ish and our party of two had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. Once we sat down everything moved pretty quickly. Their menu offers a good amount of healthy options which is rare in breakfast spots. You even have an option to make any of their pancakes whole wheat if you'd like! I wasn't feeling the healthy vibe too much so I ordered the breakfast tacos. These come with scrambled eggs, cheese, beans, potatoes, and your choice of bacon, chorizo, or sausage. I was pretty shocked when I got my plate as it was basically two giant breakfast burritos. Entirely too much food for me, way more than I was expecting. The taste was ok but the set up was not my favorite (see picture). The salsa tasted like the jar you buy from the store and I did not like the beans that came on the side. However my friend did enjoy the beans a lot! We also ordered a banana walnut whole wheat pancake with sugar free syrup and this was definitely my favorite. The pancake was perfect and the option to make it healthy made it a guilt-free eat. Service was super fast and we were able to be in and out within 50 minutes. Overall this was an ok spot - food was decent and prices were reasonable especially considering the area it is in.

Wait was short, even though it was a busy Sunday. I enjoyed the food but I wouldn't say it's the best breakfast I've ever had. I'd likely come back again.

Le peep honestly felt like a nicer version of IHOP or Denny's. The restaurant was not that big but it was super packed for Sunday brunch. Tables, restrooms and restaurant was clean. The vibe is just a buzzing of people talking and laughing. We ordered: Biscuits and gravy: tasted decent but the gravy was so thick that it started thickening very quick and there was hardly any sausage in the gravy. Day breaker: because there was mushrooms and tomatoes, that's what I was assuming as to why the eggs were watery. The description on the menu said fluffy scrambled eggs but it didn't seem like it. Needed salt because there was hardly any flavor. The potatoes that came with it was good.

    The Roost Classic breakfast
    Alfredo C.

Lots of families enjoying breakfast this Sunday morning. All the cute babies made it a very fun atmosphere.JM had two eggs with two pancakes. She says pancakes are just average. I had "The Roost" = very traditional American breakfast, including two eggs, bacon & sausage, fried potatoes, and toast - all good. JM had decaf coffee and said it was fine; I thought the regular coffee tasted off - kind of a burnt flavor, so I sent it away and swapped it for a latte with whipped cream. We will come back another time to try lunch.

Between me and hubs, we had a Pan de campo, an order of Gulf Oysters "casino", (4) dressed oysters, a 16 oz dry aged ribeye, a snapper entree and a side of crab fried rice. We finished almost everything except a quarter of the Pan, about a quarter of the rice, and about a third of the ribeye. All were great dishes and would definitely order again. We skipped dessert because honestly none stood out to us. He said their popular dessert is the souffle but they were sold out. Our total before gratuity was about $250 and that included one cocktail. Similarly to their more popular location in Memorial (#2), this outside of this Bellaire spot doesn't immediately tell the full story. The interior has an industrial vibe, with the high ceilings and overhead fixtures, but as converted into a solid dining space. The large tilted mirrors in the main area are reminiscent of the now defunct Helen's (#3) and makes for a fun (or perhaps distracting) visual. The spacious layout allows breathing room for all kinds of groups. Service has been good overall, and prompt throughout every visit. The American bistro inspired menu has a decent amount of variety that spans from brunch to a tasty weeknight dinner and a drink. Their starters have a variety of tasty bites that include the white truffle eggs, wicked wings, prosciutto-melon burrata, Mama Pauley's meatballs, and a very addicting chipotle pimento cheese dip. While I appreciate the vegan-friendly hippie chickpea croquettes, it needed just a bit more seasoning. Their bacon double cheeseburger has been deemed "insta-famous" and it certainly didn't disappoint. It's juicy, a little messy, but a lot delicious. It paired well with their large cut fries (consider upgrading to the truffle fries), but the house made chips are also a good light bite. Their salads are equally fabulous from their classic caesar to a hearty cobb salad. I wasn't as impressed with the crunchy Asian salad, but thought their faro salad was a thumbs up. Understandably, the priciest meals are some of their grilled and house specialty meals, such as a prime tenderloin filet ($42), Mediterranean roasted redfish ($36), twelve hour ribs ($29), and rosemary-lemon chicken ($29), all of which are solid. I feel the buttermilk chicken tender platter ($19) is really meant for children, but is great for any tender lover in the bunch.
