This place is just awful. "Boring food" would be a compliment. I have eaten at Le Peep for my third and last time. I gave it one last chance due to being with others that selected this place and I have confirmed that it is the WORST breakfast in all of Houston. Eggs - over cooked, dry, tasteless Bacon- undercooked, thin, tiny, greasy/wet cold Waffle - COLD COLD, spongy, tough, tasteless, not served with any butter - not on the table, or plate, or on the waffle. Had to ask server for syrup. Everyone at our table agreed that there was nothing even remotely good about our breakfast and we all had something different. Everything here seems and feels too dry, unseasoned, bland with zero personality. Why do people continue to go to this place? Comments indicate long waits - but for what? Slow and inefficient service and bad food at a premium price ? NO MORE !!! There are many, many GOOD breakfast places in Houston and this is NOT one of them. read more

We visited this location on New year's day. We told the greeter we were two adults and one toddler in our party. When we were shown to our table only two places were setup. It took a while to get the third set of silverware and a glass of water. Our server (Andreina was her name, I think) did not interact much with us and her demeanor was between of being upset or scared because she was new to the job. My plate of food wasnt that good. My healthy nut wasnt good at all. I couldnt taste anything. The egg and vegetables were very tasteless even after I added the salt and pepper and Tabasco. The vegitables in the egg were semi-hard but cooked. My english muffin wasn't toasted on the bottom either. The top was hardly toasted; the whole meal felt rushed to serve. Grits were hard to chew and swallow. The top of it was sticking together like a sheet that happens when you let grains sit for a while (or something like when it doesnt come straight fresh from the pot?) The Belgium waffle was ok. Crunchy on the outside/outer-rim but other than that nothing speical. Maple syrup was good. Honey was ok. Fruit were either unripe or artificially rippened. Potato was the only thing that I could taste and even that it was ok. I need to try this place again in order to better judge this place but so far its a VERY BIG DISPOINTMENT. read more

Growing up I always loved the food here. The breakfast is easily five stars. Today I drove 40 minutes just to eat breakfast here. Le Peep is good, not great. It's pretty much like a slighly upscale Denny's or IHOP. If you're looking for a cheap to moderate breakfast with decent service, Le Peep is a good choice. I went there with my sister in law for breakfast twice and both times the staff were so nice and the food was amazing. I really love their hot chocolate and the French toast was really good too. It's basically tradition that my girlfriend and I come here for breakfast every Sunday. First time I came here I got the chicken and waffles, and well, since then I always have. I absolutely love them, I use all the condiments they provide too. Syrup, and honey mustard all over are incredibly good, and the butter just tops it off. My girlfriend always gets a breakfast combo, but has to have their Banana Pecan pancakes, she's IN LOVE with them. I came here again this past Sunday, got the breakfast combo and tried the Cinnamon Pecan pancakes and I am very glad that I did, they were perfect. The only reason I am giving this place 4 stars and not 5, is because during the weekend, they are pretty busy, and the service is a bit slow sometimes because of this, but nothing terrible. Le Peep is pretty good. We got here on a Saturday morning, so it was pretty crowded. The wait was pretty short though as we were seated in about five minutes. When I got the menu I was overwhelmed. It's huge. I would honestly say the menu is too big as it took me forever to decide what I wanted to eat. Even though I'm complaining about the size, I do have to commend Le Peep on a very large healthy breakfast section. After about fifteen minutes of staring at the menu I finally decided to order the Ska Lumber (If you can eat the Mega Spa Lumber, you have my respect) and my brother ordered the migas. The food came out quickly and I was quite pleased with my Spa Lumber. I ate about a 1/3 of what they gave me. My brother enjoyed his migas, but said the portion was a bit small. The best thing about this place is the orange juice, it is really delicious. Other than that, this place is your average breakfast joint. They offer the usual selections, and while I thought my pancakes and eggs were delicious, my fiance found that her omelet wasn't all that great, and had a bit of a slimy quality to it. I really don't know why this place is so busy. My first impression when I walked in was...this place is old and smells. It was only a 15 min wait, so we decided to just stay. I ordered the biscuit & gravy, it was mediocre. My idea of biscuit is flaky, not soft like bread. And the gravy tastes like it came from a jar. Called ahead to this location They said no lines no wait ... not true Parking was crowded and very aggressive guests --have to really watch the parking area. Wait times were as predicted once we put in our name with greeter. so 20 minutes was 20 minutes...but the rest of the service was very slow. 3 of 5 orders was gotten wrong and one plate (my wife's) didn't arrive until everone else had finished ( we couldn't let it all go cold) . Left a bad taste in eveyone's mouth...so to speak. We took it to go but the celebration brunch was spoiled and we ended up chucking it rather than re-heat. We won't be going back ...there was no contrition or apology for the messed up orders or the lateness of the last dish ....even getting the bill collected with credit card was very very slow. Why not wait a few seconds after delivering the bill? Then take the CC and come right back? (we get to leave ( we are finished) and the restuarant gets the table back sooner? Poorly run location compared to Voss. Frankly there are better choices for up market brunch in Houston with less attitude, and far better service... Quattro anyone??. read more

I had the best omelet in forever here. The eggs weren't over or undercooked and they didn't skimp on the sausage and bacon filling. My son had the kids chicken strip and there was more than enough for a hungry 10 year old. The kids meal was 5.99 and included a drink. Our waiter was great too. Being for a Memorial Weekend on a Sunday, surprisingly there was only a 5 minutes wait to be seated. Our waitress came out immediately to offered drinks.
