She cut it dry, but didn't actually cut anything. I wish I was joking, she pulled hair out with her fingers, snapped the scissors, but not on my hair. Then said she wasn't going to wash it.... For 50$ it's included so I kindly asked her to wash it. Huge mistake. Should have just left. Only wet and washed the top cone of my head. The front pieces and around my neck weren't ever touched, product wasn't fully washed out. She proceeded to add 7-8 products to my hair while drying it, I looked like Cameron Diaz on there's something about Mary when I left. It was so oily and greasy and disgusting. I cried in the car after wasting that kind of time and money. The girl was so so nice, but worst hair experience ever. My usual hair girl was on maternity leave, so I was desperate for a cut. I told my usual hair girl about it and she informed me the salon owner tends to bully those that leave poor reviews about the salon on social media pretty hard- she showed me and I was appalled. The salon itself is very "liberal" politically with all the signage and stickers and conversation. I don't really care and respect everyone's right to their opinion and free speech- just a weird environment for a professional salon in my personal opinion. I won't be back and hopefully other girls there are much better. I think mine was new, but wow, for an hour and $60 (with tip) I was largely disappointed to say the least.

So, since they don't have a website or number to call, I found their social media accounts. No biggie, I know plenty of places do business this way nowadays. From what I can tell from their posts they do a phenomenal job; experts in fashion colors, friendly stylists, cool space, etc. Their Instagram say contact stylist directly to book. No problem. I look through each profile, kind of narrowing down what I'm looking for vs what they each seem to specialize in. I see that one stylist has her books closed so her regulars can come in, one isn't accepting clients right, one is on leave...again, no big deal. They look like a great place, I expected them to be pretty booked and I'm not in hurry to get my hair done, I'm just hoping to get in. Finally, I've got it narrowed down to one stylist, I've double checked to make sure I don't see anything about closed books/not accepting clients, it all seems to check out, and it looks like they don't use a booking site, just DM or text to book. Perfect, I send the DM and I wait. Don't hear anything for about a week and I think, well, maybe they took some time off, they're super swamped, message got lost, whatever. I'm giving full benefit off the doubt. I decide to give it another go and send a text this time. Now here we are, another week has gone by with radio silence. Look, I'm not even upset that I can't get an appointment. You don't want my business, fine, but I'd rather you tell me to scram than get nothing at all. It's just frustrating to get no response at all, especially when there's posts on social media everyday, which leads me to believe my messages are just being ignored. That all being said, I'm not telling you not to go. If you can get an appointment, take it. I'm sure they'll do an amazing job.

Upon arrival in store, I was greeted promptly and given a bottle of water by the owner. Afterwards, my stylist, Kiarra, took great care of me and did a wonderful job on the highlights in my hair! The color was matched perfectly to the reference pic I showed her. She was super gentle and detailed throughout all stages. Also, since I'm a perfectionist she helped me with some touch ups and was very thorough in helping catch any places that needed additional fixing. I love that she was super empathetic and understanding about getting every single hair detail just right until I was satisfied (I've definitely noticed other stylists in the past seeming annoyed about fixing up and redoing an area)! They were also able to accommodate me after work same day and gave me some recommendations on products and extensions! Really loved coming here! The staff are wonderful and welcoming, but definitely shout out to Kiarra for her awesome service and passion!

I was really worried if anyone would be able to make my hair look good again so I looked up "best salon's near me" and Kim Harper Salon came highly recommended. I had my appointment today with JoJo and I couldn't be happier with not only how well I was treated by staff when scheduling, but how amazing of a job Jojo did. It was a little more expensive than I usually spend but it was WELL worth every penny. I went from feeling so low about myself to walking out with a big smile and that's what Kim Harper's salon and JoJo did for me. Most importantly, she listens and she's honest about what will and what won't work. For example, my hair will not hold red colors despite Nicole's best efforts. I appreciate that my stylist was willing to say that I needed to stop trying with the red because I was just wasting my money. The salon is clean and cute. All the stylists are friendly and I love to see all the different things they are working on during my visits. They continue to expand their line of services and now offer hair extensions, lash extensions, nails and so much more.

This woman looked insulted when I showed her a blonde photograph(I assumed this was too much work for her to do) she assumed we were there for highlights. I said no all over color as she has heavy highlights. She looked puzzled, I said look if you are unable to do this I would be happy to go else where. She said no I got this now, my daughter sits she applies die all over and sets a 25 minute timer. During this time we learn she's getting ready for a concert eating dinner clearly excited for her plans (no harm there). Till my daughter's hair is dyed brown with what was supposed to be a trim looks like a toddler chopped away at the ends of her hair with dull play scissors. I will never ever return to this establishment and I will indefinitely share this expirence with everyone I know. My 14 year old devastated at the beginning of a very important chapter of her life.
