I almost didn't book because of some negative reviews but after reading through them they seemed not very credible, I decided to give Tim a shot. I'm glad I did. He helped me choose a style from a few photos online, explained what would work best for my hair, and absolutely nailed it. He offered me coffee, never tried to sell me any products, and gave me honest advice on maintaining my hair. Tim is a genuinely down-to-earth guy who's passionate about what he does. The shop has a great atmosphere, the prices are fair, and I couldn't be happier with my haircut. My wife loved it too. I'll definitely be back.

Wow! Where have you been all my life Salon Central OTR?…read more I made an appointment based on fellow Yelpies reviews and am so glad I did. Jim is absolutely amazing. He and his assistant Amber made me feel right at home and are so very welcoming. I am letting my silver grow out and after a great consultation Jim went to work, adding highlights and lowlights, doing all kind of magic, and gave me a fresh cut afterwards. I was super nervous of how my hair would turn out since this is not an easy transition for me going from medium brown to my now silver. My fears were unfounded and my hair turned out amazing! Jim blended the silver with my brown perfectly, and gave me a super flattering hair cut.

I booked with Caitlin V bc she specializes in blondes. Caitlin lived up to her reviews and then some! She took the time to talk to me about what I wanted and she more than delivered. Not only is she talented, she is kind, funny, and really interesting to talk to. I was in need of a 'pick me up' w/my hair and I got it! I am 66 and have had my hair cut and colored all over the world, and I have to say Caitlin is one of the best. Wish I lived in Cincinnati, I'd be a regular! The salon is peaceful and trendy, without being intimidating. The salon manager, Jack communicated clearly with me by email, and was so helpful when I was making my appointment. They were also prompt in responding to my questions, which can be a rarity these days. The front desk staff was so welcoming and made me feel like a long time cherished customer. They gave me recommendations on restaurants and places to visit in the area (shout out Victoria!), as it was my first time to Cincinnati. I could go on and on about what a great experience I had at Parlour. If you are looking for a salon or stylist, give Parlour a try! Absolutely thrilled with the whole experience! And, I am picky! Everything exceeded my expectations, especially Caitlin!

I finally got a chance to go in during an event. After that I was convinced this was a place I could get used to! If you live downtown you know, finding a salon is few and far between. A salon that you feel comfortable in, isn't a million dollars, and that takes care of you when you are there. This is what you will get here. The owner and the girls that work there are all young and full of energy. They are up on the trends, and can give you anything you ask for. The best part of Soapbox for me is the relaxing atmosphere. How many pop-up salons do you see that have old 80's hair posters plastered on the walls and horrible colors that make you want to put your eye out. Not this place; cool blue hues, and relaxing serenity greens fill this sleek urban salon and make you feel relaxed and comfortable. Now on to Miss Natalie. Natalie was my stylist and I was seriously so annoying and I cannot believe she put up with my crazy schedule. I literally called her two days before and was having a hair meltdown. She came in on her day off to do my hair and I was forever grateful. Since it was my first haircut you get 50% off which is a great deal. For each additional person you bring in you get another 50% off. Whattttt?? Great deal. I got a cut and color, and I am super serious about my hair. Natalie took everything I said and basically made my hair come to life. My poor blonde hair had those gross drab yellow tones and she gave me a fresh new color that was even better than I thought. I was a little nervous about getting a couple different colors in my hair but she was totally right now it isn't so monochromatic and I'm so satisfied with how it turned out. Let this be a lesson to all, they actually know what they are talking about!! One thing, they are a little pricer, but once you see the level of experience and skill (at least with Natalie) you will never have to worry if it's worth the money, because you know you will leave happy. Highly recommend, and thank the LORD I don't have to drive anywhere outside the 275 loop to get my dang hair done anymore!!!
