From the start the afternoon was beautiful! Blue skies and a nice breeze was flowing. They have a few outdoor tables (I personally would have sat outside) but my hubby preferred eating indoors. The cutest place! It's a bit small, not too many tables indoors. So many choices from their bakery. Everything looked scrumptious! We ordered the onion soup and a pumpkin soup. Both were very tasty! Also I had the chicken pastry which was delicious and my hubby had the ham & cheese croissant and raved on the taste. Said he's never had a more soft and flaky croissant in his life!! We had a lemonade for drinks. I had the pink lemonade with mint flavor and he had the regular lemonade both were very good. To end our afternoon I wanted a little sweet treat and had the palmiers! Sugary and made to perfection! Service was splendid, the server brought out our food in a timely manner and was very knowledgeable when recommending some items I questioned. I came back because I heard it was better under new management. I didn't have that experience. I ordered the 'healthy' sandwich. I'm not sure how this sandwich is worth nearly $20. There was only one slice of low quality turkey in this whole sandwich and a tiny sprinkle of arugula. Bread was hard and stale. I don't know how I keep getting fooled to come here. read more

Between the two of us, we had a latte, a cappuccino, salmon tartare, French fries (very thin and crispy), a spinach/goat cheese quiche, and a warm goat cheese salad - with an apple tart to go. I was surprised how empty it was on a Sunday morning because we have been here numerous times and it was always so busy, then we were told ownership changed. The menu was much pricier and not much of a selection as before but I honestly don't mind paying more for quality meals however this was not the case. We ordered eggs Benedict and I will admit that the eggs were cooked perfectly, but the thin piece of white bread and ham that was substituted for the Canadian ham and English muffin not only cheapened the eggs, but also took it to a much lower level even though we paid top dollar for the eggs. Everything was a la carte and even though the restaurant was empty, the service was very slow. The waiters were very nice but not so efficient. I even had to walk to the register to get our bill. Its a quaint restaurant with nice charm but they need a lot of help to fill the restaurant with happy customers! read more
