I had a rude and unprofessional experience with the barista working today (8/28/26) - purple hair,…read morelots of eye makeup, did not get her name. After ordering my drinks and receiving them, she felt the need to hold up the line and single me out in front of everyone to inform me that she "wouldn't order" the way I ordered. Not telling me that I couldn't, but that *she* wouldn't. It came across incredibly self-important and petty. For context, I ordered two double espressos and paid an additional $1 for each cup of oat milk on the side. This is on the menu. I didn't ask for anything outrageous, yet she seemed perturbed that I ordered what I paid for. I have a newborn and have replaced oat milk whenever I use 'milk' because my supply has been very low and oats are said to aid in lactation support. I'm pumping breastmilk in the car every time I drive and nursing throughout the day. I'm doing everything in my power to consume as many lactation supporting foods as I can. I PAID FOR IT. I paid nearly $13 for two beverages, I didn't ask for anything free or try to do anything inappropriate. Yet I was treated with such odd hostility from the barista. She even made some comment about it being "a lot of cups", except it was just the two cups of milk where I poured the espresso into. She very simply could have poured the espresso into the cup of milk and ice, but apparently that was not something she was willing to do. So it seems the two little paper espresso cups going to 'waste' are because of her method of preparation and service. I didn't ask for special treatment or any exceptions to be made for me, I ordered off the menu. I paid for the milk and I paid for the espresso. The semantics of what I do with what I pay for is not of the barista's concern. I would encourage some supplemental training or remove oat milk from the menu if customers are going to be spoken to disrespectfully for buying it.

The English muffin was toasty and soft , bacon as cooked to perfection and the eggs and cheese were just creamy , fluffy and delicious. I could have eaten 3 easily. Perhaps I shouldn't have read the hype before eating here. Don't get me wrong, my wife and I…read moreenjoyed our breakfast sandwiches. Where this fell down to us was in the baked goods... including the "English muffin" on which the sandwich was based. Let's start with the good things... the service was fast and friendly. Clearly all the ingredients were high quality. Everything looked beautiful in the display window. The eggs were perfectly scrambled. Light, fluffy, moist, and held together with just the right amount of rich cheddar cheese. And, the Bacon was great ... thick, just the right amount of crispy and chewy. The English muffin was disappointing; dry, dense, heavy and overly chewy. It's almost as if the dough didn't have a chance to rise fully, it was made with too little water, and it was undercooked. It was so dense that the smooth interior faces of the muffin didn't even do a good job of holding the sandwich together. Sauce dripped, eggs fell out. Even the thick bacon slid around, almost escaping being bitten into. This wasn't the only baking concern we had with Ophelia. We also picked up a mango filled "summer special" (doughnut) and a piece of "Pistachio Berry Toast". The doughnut filling was wonderful.. rich, sweet mango. The doughnut itself was surprisingly dry and dense. Then there's the reason we just don't care to return to Ophelia... the pistachio berry "toast". First, there was nothing toasted about this dense slab that most resembled pound cake... yes, pound cake. Dry, tasteless, and completely underwhelming. It's difficult to identify the makeup of the "pistachio" topping... and it certainly lacked flavor. The berries were flat, desiccated berries on top. All was covered with a thin dusting of confectioners sugar. Definitely nothing to have again. We also had a cortado and a matcha latte. All told, the cost of this trailer-in-a-parking-lot quick breakfast was $57 including a 20% tip that we added. There are no picnic tables or benches around, so we ate in the car. By the time we left there was a line of over 25 people, and more streaming in. When we arrived at 7:45 AM Saturday there were only three people ahead of us. So, either the hype is still pulling in new unsuspecting customers, or this was a really "off" day for the quality of the baked goods.

The hostess was very sweet & offered us counter seating, but it was literally right next to the entrance where everyone was standing trying to get out of the hot sun. Definitely not the birthday brekkie vibe I was after. And the parking situation? Diabolical. If I ever go back, I'm taking a Lyft. Once we got back to the car, I started thinking of somewhere close, delicious & that we could hopefully get into before 10:30, when most Miamians start making their way into the streets & every breakfast spot gets overrun. THREEFOLD CAFE! Hadn't been in a while & it was my dad's first time. We drove the 5min distance, parked in the ample, inexpensive garage & walked over. It was busy, but luckily we were seated right away by the lovely Ali (hey fellow Leo queen!), who got us started with drinks. Then my fave waitress Monica came over with her usual charisma & warmth. We had such a great time sipping their very good red wine sangrias & eating a delicious breakfast, including the absolutely to-die-for Don't Be a Lemon Tart French Toast. All in all, the loveliest, most perfect place & way to spend my birthday morning with my dad. Absolutely need to come by more often. Fantastic, consistent spot!
