It may not be fair to give an opinion on the first day the restaurant opens, but you would expect that on this festive day there will be special attention to the food served. The restaurant opened on a site located on Bethel's main commercial street, in place of a popular, high-quality confectionery that has closed. We ordered 3 servings to take - chicken sandwich, tofu sandwich and diced potato cubes. The sandwiches were reasonable but bland. The potato cubes were over baked, with a taste of those that were protected long in advance. They were combined with pineapple cubes and chilli sauce. The dish was strange. According to the publication, the restaurant opened today. It is not clear to me how it received any reviews several months ago. read more

This is actually a 4.5 star review....wish they had halfsies.... My wife and I were visiting the in-laws in the Bethel area and the in-laws said they wanted to try out Le Mu Eats (in the Spring Mills Brewery parking lot) and away we went. The restaurant is actually a semi-permanent food truck/trailer so be prepared for takeaway if the weather is poor (there are two outdoor picnic tables in front of the brewery to sit on if you like). Food ordering goes quickly and you get a buzzer to notify you to come get it. This makes it easy to stop next door to get a beer (or two) as part of the meal. I had the Banh mi chicken sandwich which was awesome. The bread was really tasty and the chicken and veggies in the sandwich were just excellent. Sooooo totally would get this one again. I also got to taste the Hot Noodz noodle dish. I was good (would have liked a bit more fried egg in the dish) and pretty darn spicy even for this SoCal Gus pallet. If I could have asked them to tone it down a tad, I would have. Definitely will come back on another visit to the area and try some of the other items on the menu. Found this great spot for a quick bite to eat- absolutely delish! We enjoyed the Angry Rooster Chicken Sandwich, Chicken tenders, Little Salad Wedge, Fries and Thai Tea. The tenders were light, crispy and included a garlic aioli for dipping. The fries were shoestring style, crispy and soft. They share seating with the brewery next door, so you can sit to enjoy your meal with a yummy hard seltzer. read more

THe food is REALLY good (not just small mountain town good!) The chef is wonderful and comes up with new innovative items for specials or menu changes frequently. They pay special attention to their bar offerings including local beers (sometimes even collaborations with a local brewery) and fun cocktails. I love Le Mu and hope they stay in Bethel always. We have been in need of this type of restaurant (casual, innovative & delicious) for a long time! Bethel has a dearth of great places, but now we have Le Mu for either a date night or a fun night out for older kids. Because the space is so small (bar seats and a small number of tables), I don't recommend taking young kids there. read more

Went back to Le Mu with friends and had a better experience, Ordered the porke bowl and the bahn mi with pork and fries. Everything is good, really liked the spicy aioli. Ambience is better outside, easier to hear each other. Not too hard to order and staff were nice. Glad I tried them again. Delicious! All the dishes were really good. We had the a pork rice bowl, salmon noodles, & fries. All were perfect! Signage was confusing with different signs telling you to seat yourself or get service inside and the outdoor tables and chairs were not clean or dry. My mom and I were doing a roadtrip from Florida and decided to stop into this place for lunch completely randomly- and holy crap, this was like the best meal by far of the trip, and def one of my all-time favs. I'm a super indecisive person but our waitress suggested the reuben fried rice since I thought it looked interesting, and let me tell you that was the best choice everrrr. It was so unlike anything I've ever tried before; tangy and sweet, yet it had a little kick to it. It was probably two people's worth of food and I totally ate all of it...i'm obsessed. AMAZING. This place was unexpectedly delicious. The Mu Bahn Mi was incredible. The Porkè Bowl had a delicious range of flavors. Thai iced tea was delicious. The fries were slightly over cooked but covered in a delicious flaky salt and the dipping sauce was addictive. Le Mu is the ONLY place to eat in Bethel. The atmosphere is so friendly and welcoming, I love the wall of plants and twinkly lights. The food is what dreams are made of, so creative and well executed! You can feel the love that goes into each dish. We were in Bethel for a few days to ski and somehow we managed to eat here 4 times in 3 days. The staff is personable, you can tell that they enjoy working here and actually like each other! As a half-Asian family, we are sometimes hesitant about eating Asian cuisine outside of cities, but this pan-Asian eatery was fabulous. We enjoyed our lunch so much we ate there two times. I was very excited to try this place after having a great meal at their old brunch restaurant in Lewiston ! Was there this past Friday mid afternoon. I read lots of great reviews so I had high hopes. I had never been there. I walked up to the counter the woman says what can I get you ? I asked if I could have a menu. I'm standing there trying to decide, people in line behind me , had to rush !! Had to get a drink and sit outside with a buzzer. A half hour later the buzzer went off. My drink was gone the woman said it a self bus table . She said here you go . I'm like can I please have a tray ?! I felt like this was an expensive take out meal . For $ thirtyish dollars for lunch it would have been nice to have a min to check out the menu.The service and plating and experience was sub par to say the least . The woman said they were low on staff. Maybe they had someone else cooking this day but the food and presentation was not on point. Disappointing . read more

Somehow I began following Le Mu Eats on social media a year ago. After a year of drooling over the pictures they post online my wife and I made the 90 mile drive from Kennebunkport to Bethel. I ordered the Angry Rooster and she ordered the Bahn Mi. We split the egg rolls. It was amazing. The breads were perfect, meats were tender, the veggie accompaniments were crisp and flavorful and the dressing was soooo tasty. Added bonus is Steam Mill Brewing next door!
