Again hard to capture on camera, but crooked.

Definitely would not recommend this place. I got a gel manicure and it was so rushed and none of my nails were the same shape. Half of them were crooked, some were ridiculously square to where the edges were flaring out. I came in with a very rounded square/round nail shape and I genuinely cannot even believe what they look like now. I'm just going to have to try to file them at home and see if I can salvage them.

This was my first time in awhile getting acrylics again. The place was kind of busy. But I got seated right away. They have a lot of colors to choose from. I showed one of the workers how I wanted my nails shaped (squared but more rectangle looking. Kylie Jenner's infamous nail shape) she applies the acrylic to my nails. Then she starts filing my nails. She was filing so hard I felt my fake nail was going to come off. She was very rough when it came to shaping of the nail. She was filing my finger at one point because she didn't push down the extra skin before filing, causing her to file my skin. Which left small cuts on my fingers. The place was clean though. The nails were painted well. Just wasn't satisfied w/the nail shape

I've been here several times and have had pretty good service each time. They offer several different types of pedicures, manicures. Even the least expensive is really nice. My polish stays on longer than any of the other local shops and the staff is nice enough. I like going here for eyebrow waxing because this is one of the few places that doesn't make them SUPER thin.

I have been going here for 8 years and I always get great service. They always do my nails and eyebrows just how I want them. I will never go anywhere else! It is always so nice and clean in there and they aren't to pricey! I would recommend anyone to go here. There is never a time when I leave dissatisfied.

Dip manicure

I had given up on nail salons, blaming the length of my nails for the bumps and imperfections I always ended up with no matter where I went, but finally! No complaints at all! Friendly, quick, and great work.

Went to get a maniand pedi with wife. Now I'm up here visiting from Texas but this place is not worth it for a $30 pedicure. If your in a rush and don't have polish sure but 15 mins is not a spa to me. Maybe just me from Texas but I'm used to a nice soaking and a leg scrub with a side drink or soda and a nice massage. Here you dip your toes for 5 mins then they oil you legs then lotion and then that's it slap some paint on your toes. Was going to get a manicure but not worth my money and sure could have got more time spent. I can splat my own lotion and paint on for free and not waste $75. $30 for 2 fast pedi and $15 more for shellac. Will stick with my salon in Texas. Thanks but no thanks

A friend recommended me to this place. I decided to try it out. Since previous nail shops I've gone to in the ypsi area wouldn't do my nails how I wanted them or they would rush on my nails. This place was closing within 15 mins of me getting there I got serviced right away. The women who did my nails was quick but did a GREAT job :) I will be back!

I go to the women who sits at #3 This is an overlay. She does it so thin it look like shellac or my real nail. Love it.

I use to go here during my college days at EMU located in Ypsilanti. The location was convenient. I went here for years until I graduated college. Than I moved closer to Detroit and didn't want to make that far drive. Years later I find myself coming back here making the long drive simply because they do my nails exactly how I like them. Natural and thin. I never have to sit and wait. I only go on weekdays (Mon-Wed) early between 11-1pm the place is usually empty. Never go on weekends unless you want to wait for hours. I usually go to #3 I forgot her name. I usually get a gel over lay. It looks so natural people think it's shellac or my real nails. They are great at shaping too. Sometimes I get oval instead of square. I love my nails short. They know how to do an overlay with short nails. Most nail techs can't do short nails without applying a fake nail. I hate fake nail, too thick.

A Disheartening Experience - I Will Not Return…read more As a Black woman and customer, I feel it's important to share an experience that left both my daughter and me feeling unwelcome and discriminated against at Ly Nail Salon in Belleville, MI. We visited the salon around noon on a Friday. I checked in with my phone number, and a young lady at the front desk asked what service we needed. I requested a polish change for myself, and my daughter wanted a manicure. A man working there came over and spoke to the young lady in a language I didn't understand. After their conversation, she told us they had no openings--not now and not for the rest of the day. That was disappointing, but honestly, I had already felt a negative energy when we walked in, so I accepted it and began to leave. As we were walking out, an older white woman walked in. Something told me to ask her if she had an appointment. My daughter and I turned around and re-entered the salon. The white woman was comfortably seated, waiting for her turn. I asked her if she had an appointment, and she politely said no. I then asked the young lady at the desk how they suddenly had an opening. Her response was, "Oh, one just became available." I reminded her that she had just told us they had no openings for the entire day. She quickly said, "We can take you now." At that moment, I told her plainly: her actions felt racist, and I would not be accepting their services. We left, and shortly afterward I received a text message from her apologizing for her behavior. While I appreciate the apology, the damage was already done. Discrimination only takes one time to do lasting harm. I will never return to Ly Nails, and I will spend my Black dollars where they are respected and welcomed--not just when someone gets caught in the act. Let this be a reminder that equal treatment matters and that every customer deserves respect--regardless of race.

The nail shape is exactly how I like them, and he checked in several times to make sure that the length, color, and shape were what I wanted. The space is very bright, open, and clean. It felt quite glamorous-- truly like taking some time to be pampered. I'll definitely be back! They were VERY busy, so I suggest making an appointment.

The newly renovated space is beautiful, but unfortunately, the service quality has really dropped over the last two visits. During cuticle trimming last time, my skin was cut so badly. I mentioned this to the technician during my most recent visit, hoping for a safer experience, but still ended up with another cut. On top of that, the polish didn't even last a week. My toenails were painted poorly and my fingernails chipped with two nails just two days later. I had a positive review drafted to share before, but after these frustrating experiences, I felt compelled to share my honest feedback. While the updated decor is lovely, I'm very disappointed with the service.

And my hands i asked for an acrylic set. The guy that did my nails originally just started painting my nails with the polish and when i told him that i asked for acrylic set he drilled too far down while prepping and i now have rings of fire on my nails & my cuticles are tore up. My nails still hurt!! The design i wanted was on my ring fingers ( few white brush strokes) for shasta daisies with a dot same color i chose for the rest of the nails... my ring fingers were painted white... my thumb nails are uneven lengths. Wouldnt reccoment this place unless there was someone who was far more experienced/ patient and an active listener...
