I got my gel x 1st refill about 3 weeks ago, the design I got I was not really pleased with but I made it work. Then today I take off my gel x to see I have a fungal infection on 3 of my nails due to unsanitary equipment among other reasons. I would not recommend getting your nails done here!! read more

I was a walk-in and was seated immediately upon arriving, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the rest of my experience was disappointing. The service I requested was listed at $50, but I was charged $70 even though no additional services or upgrades were provided. During the acrylic application, I experienced a burning sensation and mentioned it several times to the technician, but my concerns were ignored. Additionally, there was debris or some foreign material trapped in the acrylic on one of my nails. When I pointed it out, the technician appeared frustrated that he had to redo the nail, rather than addressing the issue professionally. Overall, the customer service was poor, and I left feeling unheard, overcharged, and dissatisfied with the quality of the service. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this salon. read more

I question the experience level of technicians and their lack of attention to details. I had a pedicure on Saturday and by Sunday evening my feet looked like I still needed a pedicure. My heels, underneath my big toes, and tips of tie nails were dry. I selected the deluxe pedicure however the technician did not give attention to these dry areas. A Disheartening Experience - I Will Not Return As a Black woman and customer, I feel it's important to share an experience that left both my daughter and me feeling unwelcome and discriminated against at Ly Nail Salon in Belleville, MI. We visited the salon around noon on a Friday. I checked in with my phone number, and a young lady at the front desk asked what service we needed. I requested a polish change for myself, and my daughter wanted a manicure. A man working there came over and spoke to the young lady in a language I didn't understand. After their conversation, she told us they had no openings--not now and not for the rest of the day. That was disappointing, but honestly, I had already felt a negative energy when we walked in, so I accepted it and began to leave. As we were walking out, an older white woman walked in. Something told me to ask her if she had an appointment. My daughter and I turned around and re-entered the salon. The white woman was comfortably seated, waiting for her turn. I asked her if she had an appointment, and she politely said no. I then asked the young lady at the desk how they suddenly had an opening. Her response was, "Oh, one just became available." I reminded her that she had just told us they had no openings for the entire day. She quickly said, "We can take you now." At that moment, I told her plainly: her actions felt racist, and I would not be accepting their services. We left, and shortly afterward I received a text message from her apologizing for her behavior. While I appreciate the apology, the damage was already done. Discrimination only takes one time to do lasting harm. I will never return to Ly Nails, and I will spend my Black dollars where they are respected and welcomed--not just when someone gets caught in the act. Let this be a reminder that equal treatment matters and that every customer deserves respect--regardless of race. read more

I went to LY Nails this past Saturday to get a dip manicure + tips. I saw Sam, and he did a marvelous job. The nail shape is exactly how I like them, and he checked in several times to make sure that the length, color, and shape were what I wanted. The space is very bright, open, and clean. It felt quite glamorous-- truly like taking some time to be pampered. I'll definitely be back! They were VERY busy, so I suggest making an appointment. read more

Even if you ask in the beginning, exactly what your getting .. someone needs to check into this place how can they do that? they do not go by any of the prices on the booking site when you book , they just make it up as they go. no thanks. I made an appointment to get a full set of acrylic nails and I arrived and was immediately taken. They were extremely professional, especially Henry (chair 4) who is a master with the nail file. Not to mention, the ambiance of the salon was extremely comfortable and inviting. Very clean space, professional work, and overall great service! read more

I've been to Ly Nails twice. My first experience was wonderful. My second experience was OK. The first time around I was able to walk in and had a relaxing pedicure with great service. I made an appointment for last Friday and didn't have that same experience. I came for the deluxe pedicure and the 45 minute pedicure was maybe 25. The whole thing was very rushed and not the experience I had the first time. I will try again since I know it can be a great place and have recommended it to friends previously. read more

I went to this nail salon in May when they were just opening. The service and attitudes and vibe of the techs were great, went back a few months later still received great service. I noticed a change when I went in Aug, took my daughter-in law and grand daughter. We spent about $400.00. The pedicure was great but the manicure was not. I went back on yesterday just to see if things had changed. Well! I think they were worse. I have come to the conclusion that If you are trying to get your natural nails done, forget this place, they treat you like crap and rush you out the chair without even a good bye. No massaging of the hands, no lotion. Just file, paint see you later. They were not like this when they first opened. I will not return. the massage and chairs were ok. nails are terrible. there is pain I. my toes. I got paint on the sole of my shoe. which had shellac done. they weren't very good about cleaning up my nails. I have a lot of callus still that they didn't even bdid. 70$ no thanks.
