Friendly wait staff with English speakers, although we used our broken French as much as possible! Enjoyed dinner at a table outside. While the menu offered a number of appetizing choices, I went with a braised chicken special in a summer tomato sauce with a cold side of orzo with dill. Both were delicious. Creme brulee for dessert was the best I've had!

***FOOD: Honestly have had better French Food in Paris. Everything was ok. ESCARGOTS - Good garlic butter parsley flavor; FRENCH ONION SOUP - ok sort of flavorless; STEAK TARTAR - ok, came w/fries & salad; MAGRET DUCK - ok, slightly overdone as it was tough, love the cherries & sauce; CHOCOLATE MOUSSE - creamy good ***COST (OUT OF 4$) $$ certainly the price was cheap for Paris. Noticed most people were having a snack or light meal / cheese & bread or charcuterie board and drinking a glass of wine or beer here. ***DÉCOR: Outdoor seating beware lots of smokers & vapers, street parking, metro or RER to get here ***SERVICE: Friendly service, attentive, all guy servers, spoke & understood English very well. ***RECOMMEND: Yes RECOMMEND if in the area again & hungry.

Our duck breast with cherry sauce..

My wife and I went here last night and had a very good meal. We started with a Terrine for her and onion soups for both of us. The Terrine was a bit one-note. She said the one at Paul Bert was better. However, the salad that came with it she said had a very good dressing. The onion soups were good and warming. For our mains we both got the confit duck breast with a cherry sauce. I felt the breast could be a bit more tender but was still good. The cherry sauce was very good. We just had water for the table. Our waiter, Jean Emmanuelle, was very nice. I made sure to let him know how much I appreciated his service. The ambience was nice and laid back.

Not too impressed to be honest. The service was good but the food was just meh. Went here twice. The first time I got the black bacon burger. The bacon was thick and not cooked too much but it could be a French thing but they did cook it a little longer when asked which did make it better but stop just not that impressed. The bun could have had more flavor or something as well. Tasted a little dried out. The onion soup was just average compared to the other places In Paris. Was a convenient location to the air BNB and some places around it.

Eat here! After a beautiful long walk around Les Champs Élisées, we finally found a restaurant that fit out critical eye. (Not too snooty, no white table cloths, busy with locals, well maintained front/signage and good variety of dish options). Le Hameau has plenty of outside seating, daily specials and friendly service in both English and French. The prices are reasonable and the food quality was excellent. I had the Escargot and Black cheese burger medium rare that came with a side of salad and fries accompanied with a 10oz glass of white wine. (€42.50) Frites were nice and crispy accompanied by a light truffle mayo. Salad dressing was a gentle Dijon. Burger was home made with a bun so fresh I used a fork and knife to finish it! Bon appétit!

    partially eaten tough steak

I ordered a steak and I ate about maybe a quarter of it because I could not cut through it, (i was sawing through it) I actually had to go back to my hotel and floss as gross as that is. The fries were good and a little bit of salad and that's what I ate and they comped (one glass hh) my wine and I was very polite about telling them but they charged me €30 for a steak I didn't eat, so basically I paid 30 euros for one soup cup full of fries and a quarter cup of green leaves. Also, the service was very inattentive, yes I am American and I have traveled extensively and I am very patient but I felt ignored repeatedly, and there were other customers who were signaling for the server's attention as well that were french . The other food looked good, but I can't attest to that as I was dining alone, I would just tell you never order a steak there. I was just wanting the classic steak frites experience and I did not get that. It's like being disappointed in Tex-Mex food in Texas. I don't know what everybody else on Google is raving about it, but it definitely did not live up to that hype. I would've told the server spond , but he never came around even though I tried to get his attention repeatedly before I even ate the fries..

Loved this place! Good waitstaff who are friendly and speak English in the bargain. I did use my poor French on them and they withstood it with grace. Ate here a few times during my stay and the food was good but the French Onion Soup was exceptional.

    Wine in Paris

Amazing place! The food and wine was amazing. The wine pour was my favorite and thats why I took pictures of it. I think this place is fantastic and the food was amazing. We arrived here after a long day of travel. There was only 2 things on my mind. Wine and French Onion Soup. I decided to get both. When in France wine is a lot of times cheaper than Coke so a liter of wine was only about $5 US dollars. Not bad for all that delicious wine. The French Onion Soup was to die for! They serve it is a huge cup and it tasted amazing. The French Onion soup is served with a fresh baguette. The soup + the wine + being outside on a Paris night = One amazing night in one of the most romantic cities in the world. I will say I was there for work but had 2 pretty hot dates with me!! This place is open all day. They do Breakfast on Sundays at least, but I think they do it other days as well. They do lunch and dinner. I will say the service was a little slow, but I was told that is the norm in Paris. Overall a great dinner, great wine, great night with great people! I would for sure come back for the soup any day!

The service we experienced was exactly what you want... our server had plenty of suggestions based on the offerings of the day. The service was attentive and responsive... not much more than you could ask for. I had the duck breast being offered... it was served alongside crispy potatoes, green beans, and a salad. Adding in the onion soup and a glass of wine... it quickly became a King's dinner at a very reasonable price. I would be more than happy to eat here again and look forward to exploring the rest of the menu offering many local and classic French options.

Like others have said, it's super small inside, so you'll get to know your neighbors really well. But your attention will be more focused on the food they bring out. I had the lamb with thyme sauce and my wife had the confit duck leg. Don't be afraid to pick the sauce of the day over the regular honey sauce. The sauce of the day on the day we went was a blackberry sauce which was crazy good. With a bottle of wine at 24 euros and both entrees under 20 euros, you couldn't really beat a meal of that quality in many places around Paris for that price. It was only after I ate at Le Potager did I see it had a bunch of great reviews on Yelp. It's definitely earned all those stars.

We found Le P'tit and when we inquired if they would serve us they said yes if we ordered immediately. It was a few minutes after ten. We ordered at the bar then were seated at our tables. The waitstaff were incredibly nice. They brought whatever we needed including ketchup which, despite being American, we didn't want or need. :) The food was delicious. I had an almost perfect poached egg -just a little too cooked. They had a fair amount of vegetarian options for the person in our party to get a decent meal: eggs, salad and beignets de mozzarella, which I hate to burst your bubble in advance, is a very French and more appealing way to say Mozzarella sticks. They were still good for the record. Perhaps everyone should call them that and aim for that level of taste. Fried just right and a fair amount of cheese. I ordered the duck legs-no complaints there. It was tender and the side of potatoes weren't the top of my list for the evening but there was more than enough of them to share with others. The chocolate fondant was voted best dessert by the table. It won no contest. I'm glad we stopped in for an authentic food experience.

This place was okay, located in the Paris area yet somehow not very accommodating to tourists? So weird. Anyways, my friend and I came in here after a day of traveling and were starving. We wanted something light and decided to try the cheese that everyone talks about, and it was pretty decent. The prices were a bit wild (like everything else in Paris), but I guess that's what we get for stopping into the first place we saw on the street. The menu is pretty eclectic, so don't expect to stop in here with children and be able to get a grilled cheese and fries, it's more of that stuff that people in America eat when they come into some wealth and acquire a new money accent (you know the type).
