Cinnamon Roll
Vannessa D.

I so happened to be in the parking lot as this donut place. I was trying to order a pizza from Pizza Guys but their ovens were broken. So I went in wanting a cinnamon roll. This was around 11:15am and it was fresh. They still had a lot of donuts. People were still going in and out. It was $2.50 for a big cinnamon roll. It was very soft and yummy! I will be coming back to try other ones soon. The lady that helped was short but nice. The inside is like a regular donut place. They have a good variety of donuts.

Went back today and had the ham & cheese. It was pretty tasty.

Lucky to be passing by this place today. Their donuts are very fresh. I asked and they said they're made daily. Most are only $1.25! Breakfast sandwiches are only $4-$5.00!

Ham & Cheese croissant

Sunday Funday donut day. I always try the ham & cheese croissants and this one was really good and fresh with lots of cheese. The Apple Fritter was good too but not top notch delicious. The donut lady was not the friendliest person especially after she dropped the Apple Fritter on the floor.

I friggin love this place!!!! For one, where else can you get boba drinks for $3 early in the wee morning hours in this area?? Second, their breakfast sandwiches are delicious and so cheap!! My favorite is the sausage eggs and cheese croissant. The eggs are fluffy and they use gooey white cheese. And their sausage isn't normal breakfast sausage. I think it's either Polish or Taiwanese sausage. Sooo good!! The donuts are pretty standard. Some not-so-great stuff: The service can be a little brusque and the seating is minimal and the boba pearls can be a little over cooked. But in my opinion the good stuff waaayyy outweighs the not-so-good so stop in here instead of Mickey D's on your way to work!!! Cash only. Has own parking lot.

Good local donut shop, I like their dough is nice and light compared to other places that are super dense and heavy.

Since I don't learn my lesson and decide to drive to work on a Monday morning in heavy traffic,…read morethat drive is a 2.5 hour drive to Pasadena. Anyhow, it gives me a reason to stop at... (you guessed it) a donut shop!!! I stopped at Pronto Donuts in Azusa to take a driving break. The donut shop was full and there was a line inside. I got my usual, 3 chocolate donuts. They were good and fresh. I did like that each donut was only $1.50 which is a really, really good price for donuts!! I think this is the most cost efficient donut I've seen in the last couple of months. The donuts made me happy very happy!! Service could have been more friendly, but I suppose they were in a hurry since they were busy. Plenty of parking in this plaza.

My favorite mom and pop donut shop in SoCal. Fast service, delicious donuts, and amazing staff…read more If you want fresh donuts anywhere in the area of Azusa, Covina, or Glendora - this locals spot is my go-to. Pronto is right across the street from the In-n-Out and has the best Old Fashioned donuts, amazing Buttermilk bars, Chocolate and Vanilla donuts, Bear Claws, Powdered donuts filled with cream, lemon, or raspberry, and so many more styles of donuts and pastries. On Saturday and Sunday they serve up the biggest Tiger Tails I've ever seen. You will not find a Tiger tail donut as huge, crispy, and delicious anywhere else... not even on Route 66. And they certainly beat the prices of any local Route 66 donut shop. You will fall in love with the hardworking woman at the counter, who is almost always there taking care of this small, but perfect doughnut shop. She has a few seats for patrons to sit and enjoy their coffee and donuts, sandwiches, or just to watch the live Hot Spot Lottery Keno on their TV. (And did I mention they sell the lottery tickets here, too!) The parking lot is definitely tight in this plaza, but I always find at least one spot in the lot or you can park on the side street.

I was looking to pick up some donuts on my way to work and stumbled upon Chelsy's. I am so happy…read morethat I did. Chelsy's is tucked away on Azusa Ave if you're headed northbound. There is a small parking lot just south of the shop that is easy to miss, or you can park on the street. The donuts are delicious. I'm not always into donuts, but these were so good. I just did a dozen mixed and had them pick them. I ended up with a glazed cinnamon roll. There was also a sugar cinnamon roll. All my coworkers agreed these were tasty donuts. The staff are friendly, greeted me, and even hooked me up with a coffee on the house. The space is small, and it looks like that they can seat you for other things they serve, but when I went in it was raining and pretty quiet. I will definitely be back.

I'm torn on this review because the food itself was actually really good--authentic Oaxaca flavors…read morethat hit the mark. However, the service and value were a major disappointment. We waited over 35 minutes for our food to arrive, which felt excessive. When the plates finally did come out, they were incomplete; the menu stated they included rice and beans, but we were only served beans and a small piece of cheese. To top it off, I ordered a simple side of one egg and ham for my son and was shocked to see a $10 charge for it on the bill. For that price and the missing components of our meal, the math just doesn't add up. While the kitchen clearly knows how to cook, the service and pricing transparency are not there. Personally, I wouldn't come back, but to each their own.

Monarch Donuts in Arcadia is more than just a donut spot, you can feel it right away…read more Yeah the donuts are really good, especially the apple fritters, but it's not even just about that. It's the way they treat people. You can tell there's real heart behind it. The owner is super genuine and you can see how much he cares, not just about the food but about people. That kind of energy sticks with you. It's a small place, early hours, and they sell out fast, but it makes sense. Everything is fresh and made with intention. Honestly it just feels different coming here. It's one of those spots that reminds you it's not always about the food, it's about how people make you feel too.

I have to preface that I'm not a donut person. That's because I don't like the taste of grease…read moreusually associated with donuts. A friend of mine raved about this place so I stopped by to check it out on my way to the 1st tee at Santa Anita golf course. Unfortunately, the donuts here are no exception to the greasy taste. The donuts are quite soft and fluffy. So soft that I'd almost say they lack the requisite texture. The famed apple fritter actually fell apart as I tried to pick it up. It was also the greasiest of the donuts I tried. It literally felt like the oil was oozing as I chewed the donut. The raisin croissant/danish had a decent texture; but, it had sort of cheesy note to it which was unexpected. I also must mention that the prices are quite reasonable and the portions were generous.
